The Government's plan to address Climate change includes ambitious targets. This session will focus particularly on the targets relating to the retrofit non-domestic buildings. It will discuss some of the challenges and opportunities to meet these goals.
Discussions will be around a holistic approach to retrofitting of buildings, bringing the reduction in energy requirements to the fore.
Speakers will cover some of the main pressing questions faced by those designing and managing non-domestic buildings in today’s current climate. All speakers have extensive experience in their particular topic and have worked for many years within the construction industry.
The sub-topics included within this session are outlined below:
Challenges to Commercial Retrofit Ventilation Energy efficiency & Covid
Façade Upgrades and Carbon Reduction in Commercial Retrofit
Benefits of Building Digitalisation & Optimisation.
This session will be both practical and relevant for anyone designing, constructing and supplying these projects.

This assessment is meant to provide international practices on EPR and its implementation models, while providing a synopsis on the status of EPR in Egypt. It puts forth a set of suggestions
to support the promotion and the gradual implementation of EPR and its schemes.
The main objective of the report is to map the licensed & sound recycling companies for end-processing in Egypt for each separate fraction, and delineate, as appropriate, the best possible local beneficiation. For fractions with no solution in Egypt, the report maps and proposes end-processing facilities to be used outside of Egypt.
The main objective is to map the informal sector involved in WEEE collection and dismantling to identify and design a platform that could integrate the material flow (sales) from informal sector and households to formal sector, and to allow financial transfers.
SEAI has been undertaking market surveillance relating to the compliance of solid fuel local space heaters available on the Irish market and we would like to inform you of our findings from this work. We will also discuss the introduction of new Ecodesign requirements relating to solid fuel local space heaters which enter into force on the 1st January 2022.
Net Zero in Medicines Manufacturing: Measuring and Reporting Carbon FootprintKTN
On Friday 22nd October 2021, KTN hosted a webinar on Net Zero in Medicines Manufacturing, aimed at medicines manufacturers to learn about systems and tools for measuring and reporting on Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon outputs. The webinar was hosted by the KTN Medicines Manufacturing Challenge Community in partnership with Innovate UK, Medicines Manufacturing Industry Partnership and Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, featuring presentations and discussion from GSK, AstraZeneca and Pfizer on reporting and science-based targets.
Mateusz Imiela, K-FLEX Polska, speaks about biobased EPDM pipes and the K-Box at the 'Innovative Technologies for EU Buildings Energy Retrofit and Deep Renovation' workshop hosted by RINNO and ENVISION.

This presentation, created by Syed Faiz ul Hassan, explores the profound influence of media on public perception and behavior. It delves into the evolution of media from oral traditions to modern digital and social media platforms. Key topics include the role of media in information propagation, socialization, crisis awareness, globalization, and education. The presentation also examines media influence through agenda setting, propaganda, and manipulative techniques used by advertisers and marketers. Furthermore, it highlights the impact of surveillance enabled by media technologies on personal behavior and preferences. Through this comprehensive overview, the presentation aims to shed light on how media shapes collective consciousness and public opinion.

0x01 - Newton's Third Law: Static vs. Dynamic AbusersOWASP Beja
f you offer a service on the web, odds are that someone will abuse it. Be it an API, a SaaS, a PaaS, or even a static website, someone somewhere will try to figure out a way to use it to their own needs. In this talk we'll compare measures that are effective against static attackers and how to battle a dynamic attacker who adapts to your counter-measures.
