A Renewable Energy source

By: AD Sarwar
Solar power is the conversion of sunlight
into electricity, through directly using
photovoltaic (PV). Photovoltaic convert
light into electric current using the
photoelectric effect.
Is Solar Power System Reduce
      Pollution Effects and Useful?

    • Reduction in Air Pollution
    • Health and Safety Concerns
    • Low Maintenance Cost
    • Reliable Source

3
What is Our Mission?
    • To Reduce Gaseous emission and thus
      save the ozone layer.

    • To Reduce Grid dependency

    • To Empower remote areas.

4
Solar Power System Importance in
        Pakistan w.r.t Power Resources
    • Pakistan is currently facing the worst power
      crisis of its history.

    • Solar power is best for overcoming energy
      crisis in Pakistan.

    • Keeping this factor we seeing that the solar
lights at houses and streets are increasing
5
Photovoltaic is solid state semiconductor
devices that convert sunlight directly into
    electricity by law of diffusion.

6
Movement of molecules/fluid from an
area of higher concentration to an area
of lower concentration is called
diffusion. Diffusion is a result of the
kinetic properties of particles.

Solar Power Projects in Pakistan
     • On May 29, 2012 The Project titled "Introduction of
Clean Energy by Solar Electricity Generation System" of
Japan International Cooperation Agency This project can
produce 178.08 KW power through Photovoltaic (PV)
       Solar Systems in Islamabad.

     • South Korea has shown its interest to install a power
plant project of up to 300 MW of solar energy in Quetta,
in this regard Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
would be signed with Baluchistan government.

• Solar PV represents a true zero carbon emission
  generation option.

• Solar PV technology offers significantly lower capital
and operating costs than Diesel power technology

• Higher solar radiation levels such as at Blochistan
  would lower electricity cost.

• The nature solar energy source makes it more
  preferred, practical energy solution.
