Proposal for Workshop On Soft Skills

Soft Skills Training is an important part of Management Training as it has a significant impact on Personality
Development. The Soft Skills Training conducted by DUCC Systems Pvt. Ltd. focuses on elements of Training and
Development that require changes in behavior and thinking.

Soft Skills as opposed to hard skills (such as technical skills), greatly impacts the personality development of employees.
Organizations today recognize that the professional development of their employees play an important part in maintaining
relationships with their customers and developing a successful business.

Organizations that endeavor to be on the path of continuous learning will often find that upgrading the 'soft skills' of their
workforce is a necessary part of business. It not only helps improve service but also shows the interest that an organization
has in the professional development of their employees, which in turn leads to higher employee retention.

For Colleges/ Universities:

Through the Placement Training conducted by DUCC, we effectively increase the employability skills of students. They
undergo Job Placement Training & Motivational Training to enhance their all-round development.

During the earlier days, when workforce supply was low and the demand for skilled workforce was high, companies were
willing to recruit individuals and train them on all aspects of the job, as well as etiquette. But today this is not the case.
Workforce supply is plenty, and demand is low. In the present age of global recession, the concept of lean organizations is
the norm. Hence, job seekers need to be ready and ‘employable. This is where our Job Placement Training in Soft Skills
Training for Students can help.

Through activity based learning, our competency, we aim at equipping students with the skills mentioned below:

Interviewing Skills: Interviews are considered to be the gateway to the corporate world. Hence it is of equal importance to
be familiar with the do’s and don’ts of attending a job interview and coming out in flying colors. Amongst other aspects, we
train participants through mock interviews and provide tips on preparing for interviews.

Group Discussions: Group Discussions are an important method for employers to select prospective candidates for the
final round of interview. The student needs to portray the right skill sets in a limited amount of time. We train students on
how to participate in an effective group discussion and gain the maximum points in the limited amount of time put toward
them.

Communication Skills: Essentials of communication, business writing and presentation skills are taught to participants in
this module. It helps them to provide structure to their thoughts and comprehend others’ ideas in a better manner.

Voice and Accent Training: This training has been incorporated in our Job Placement training to encourage participants
into speaking with a neutral accent, the importance of voice modulation, pitch, inflection, and so on.

Business Etiquette and Personal Grooming: What are the various accepted practices to be followed in the corporate
world? What are the unsaid codes of conduct? How would a new employee create a positive and lasting impression? These
are just a few of the many questions that we would be answering in this module that prepares participants to confidently
start/ continue their career.

Motivational Training: This aspect of College Training for students help them to rise above the present challenges that
the world is throwing at them in terms of a global recession, and helps them to remain motivated and achieve success in
their Endeavour.
