On the computer I was playing on the computer. I love to play games online. The only problem is, the games don’t have a pause button. This means that I can’t stop them and re-start them where I left off. Sometimes dad asks me a question or asks me to do something when I’m playing. If I do what he says, I will lose my game. If I ignore dad, he will get mad, and may put the laptop on time out. I don’t like to get interrupted when I’m playing, but it’s important to be polite when other people are talking to me. When dad asks me something, I need to ask him if it can wait until I’m done playing. I have to make sure I don’t growl, or yell, and that my voice is calm and nice.
Conversation 5 Dad: Leroy, I need you to pick up your toys. Leroy: Dad, I’m playing a game online right now. Dad: Pause the game then. Leroy: The game doesn’t _______, can I do this in __ minutes when the game is over, please? Dad: Okay, but don’t forget. Leroy: I ____
