This document discusses the social problems facing the city of Kohat, Pakistan and potential solutions. The main problems are frequent electricity and gas load shedding, poor management systems leading to pollution, inadequate cleanliness systems with garbage strewn streets, and roads in bad condition due to construction. Suggested solutions include building dams to generate hydropower, improving waste management and street cleaning, requiring air filtration in industries, and improving road infrastructure.
3. Meaning of Kohat
Kohat means "market of hills".
It is the combination of two words
"KOH" (in Persian meaning 'hill')
and
"HAT"(in Sanskrit meaning 'market').

One of the main problem of Kohat city.
Especially load shedding of electricity and gas.
In summer, load shedding of electricity and in winter, load shedding
of gas suffers public a lot.

Management is not so good.
Causes soil, air and water
pollution.
Causes dangerous diseases.

Cleanliness system in Kohat is not so
good.
Streets and roads are full of debris.
People throw garbage openly, not in a
waste bin.
9. All the three bodies responsible for
cleanliness in the city have failed to
remove garbage daily from their assigned
places.

Almost all roads in kohat city
are in very bad condition.

cause of air pollution.

Dams should be made to preserve rain water in order to produce
electricity.
House waste should be thrown in the main wastebin fixed by
government.
Sweepers should daily sweeps the garbages.
Air filtration system should be present in every industry. Serious
actions should be taken against those who don’t use it.
There must be partition in roads and must be a specific stands for
local vehicles.
Government also don’t pay attention to it firstly, but now government
is taking steps against it.
