I am motivated to submit application for the post of Logistics Officer, which appeared online and forwarded by
a friend who believes I strongly qualify for this position. And I believe I am extra-ordinary candidate for the job
posting offered in your organization. I present to you my experience gained in logistics career and expressing
interest for the above position.
Currently, I am in-charge of District store at UMEME LTD, Performing rangeof activities; such as stock control,
Accountability reports, dispatching materials and, among others to the Contractors & field team upon full
authorizations by Customer service engineer or District Manager to whom I am accountable.
I am a graduate of Kyambogo University with a Bachelors’ Degree (honors) in Procurement and
logistics Management with full person in logistical challenges and a Diploma in Business administration from
Kyambogo University & Makerere University Business school respectively.
I believe I could present a better candidate to perform the tasks designed for this post. I have a proven ability
for careeras demonstrated by successful career with UMEME LTD & other Organizations for a period of years
as detailed in the CV.
I am very social and cheerful person, my cheerful deposition has made it easy for me to
Make good administrative assertions and manipulate people’s skills to achieve set objectives in a given period
of time. This could be ideal, to achieve the set goals and objectives for this post.

2. Dear Sir/Madam,
With this letter, I wish to state my reasons why I am better candidate to take this opportunity
and to let you know that I am very much willing go for more challenging career, such as this. I
also wish to appreciate the opportunity to introduce myself to you and SNV team at large.
I am one Geoffrey Ayikobua, I hold bachelor’s degree in Procurement & logistics Management,
and with a diploma in Business administration accounting option. Currently I am in full
employment with UMEME LIMITED as District Stores Clerk at Mukono office, I have successfully
served in this portfolio for the lastthree (3)years and by November, will be making Four (4) years.
Although I have been employed to date as District Stores clerk, I have vast experience amassed
in logistical management ranging from; Control measure, storage, movement, dispatching,
restocking, stock taking, logistics mobilization roles, Accountability reports and as well stock
reconciliation process. Despite the title stores clerk, the post entails full role/responsibilities of
stock controller/logistics officer. And it is these skills of logistics movement controls that I would
love to introduce if given mandate.
Integrity & discipline, has been my person in all my employment records. And in order to make a
good stock controller or logistics officer one must have the above qualities and it is because of
these qualities that I have been entrusted to keep safely high valued assets like (Meters, Meter
seals & assorted cables) items & yet the heart (core) of the company’s (UMEME LTD) business.
And without a doubt the person who can be able to provide these qualities you are looking for,
is none other than me.
I Geoffrey Ayikobua is forward looking, an ambitious, young and energetic man; who is focused
& self driven of multitasking person. Given this opportunity, I show massive skills acquired in
record keeping & logistictracking in similar records in previous portfolios. This can alsobe proved
from sources indicated in the CV. And I have been able to achieve/play these roles as required
and when required. And most of which are on the scheduled KPI targets.

I am quite flexible and easily adapt to new environment and organized person who enjoys
working in neat environment. I am goal oriented person who respects envisaged deadlines, and

I have dynamic Personality, I enjoy being in continuous contact with clients/customers. During
my average workdays, I handle more than 200 contractual jobs and receive or dispatch stock
items worthy value/to the tune of 5 billion of Ugandan Shillings.
In my current employment and previous employment, I have always had an excellent reputation
with my manager(s) and even in all other working places I have been, i.e. for two (2) years with
COMTECH ICT SOLUTIONS, Eleven (11) years with KALINABIRI SS and in other discipline of
Volunteer works
For challenging opportunities I find it motivational to work for long hours if needed to complete
delegated tasks.
As way of safeworking environment, I have learned & encouraged my colleagues at UMEME LTD,
where I am at the moment serving, to inculcate the idea of daily brief discussing safety related
topics to the team members and leading the daily talk by examples, taking minutes of the section
meetings. I posse incredible organization skills whenever sort for. But in all things I pay attention
to details and I try as much as possible to avoid things that destructs attention to details, and let
go easily envy sensitive issues. I would really be delighted and appreciate being considered for
