BOCM Paul (Forfarmers) – Exeter August 2012, current employment
I am currently working at Forfarmers as a production planner/weighbridge operative. My original role was to weigh
in and out the vehicles that arrive across the weighbridge during the day. The last 3 yrs I have enjoyed learning the
different products and experience in the animal feed business.
I have now progressed into the planning side of production where I take into account all the orders and put a plan
together to allow the mill to produce which products are needed following a cross contamination matrix to allow the
mill to run easily. Every month we have new formulas sent to us where I proceed to check that each product has
the correct BOM against it and if not change accordingly.
I also take care of the stock control of feed internally and externally, I order all the external stock that is required,
I physically do a stock take every week to make sure that the stocks are always correct.
Watson Fuels – Kentisbeare May 2011 to February 2012
I was employed at Watson to be a router. I fulfilled this task and many others. The roles I carried out consisted of
planning the drivers for their everyday deliveries, inserting tachos on to Tachomaster, authorising holidays
looking after the stock levels of fuel, timesheets, general enquires from the drivers.
Also contributed to new ways of debriefing drivers and keeping their lead times to a minimum.
