Snake farming has the potential to benefit Bangladesh's economy by producing raw materials for medicines and goods, creating jobs, and generating export revenue. However, snake farming is still underdeveloped in Bangladesh due to a lack of government support. There are only a few private snake farms and one government project. Major challenges include a lack of capital investment, licensing restrictions, inadequate training, and no guidelines from the government. If developed properly with government assistance, snake farming could be a valuable industry for Bangladesh by producing materials for anti-venom drugs and cancer treatments while preserving snake populations.
In my slides, I tried my level best to collect information here. I think it will help u to understand about snake farming. Here, I discussed what requirement should be needed if anyone wants to establish a farm. There are several obstacles by the government but hope that it will pass very soon.Bangladesh can earn foreign currency very easily through this farming.
Crocodile farming is a new concept for the entrepreneur, of Bangladesh as historically this industry never existed in Bangladesh. During the last decade the international demand for crocodile skin has increased tremendously which has turned this industry into a lucrative option for entrepreneurs worldwide. The major exporters of manufactured crocodile leather products are Italy, Germany, United States, Spain, France and United Kingdom. Though this crocodile farming and leather tanning industry is a new business idea but as the technology required for this industry is already available in Bangladesh, the weather and other natural factors are suitable for crocodile growth and a huge demand for crocodile leather Is existing in the-world market, a great opportunity is existing in the international trade of crocodile skin for the business people of Bangladesh, who want to take the challenge of exporting these home grown products to foreign market.
India has four global biodiversity hot spots. They are the Eastern Himalaya, Indo-Burma region, the Western Ghats, and the Sundalands. These are explained in detail in this module.

A short description about magur fish. The walking catfish (Clarias batrachus) is a species of freshwater airbreathing catfish native to Southeast Asia, but also introduced outside its native range where it is considered an invasive species. It is named for its ability to "walk" across dry land, to find food or suitable environments. While it does not truly walk as most bipeds or quadrupeds do, it has the ability to use its pectoral fins to keep it upright as it makes a wiggling motion with snakelike movements.[2] This fish normally lives in slow-moving and often stagnant waters in ponds, swamps, streams and rivers, flooded rice paddies or temporary pools which may dry up

Wildlife management techniques and methods of wildlife conservationAnish Gawande
Wildlife Conservation is the practice of protecting wild plant and animal species and their habitat. Wildlife plays an important role in balancing the environment and provides stability to different natural processes of nature. The goal of wildlife conservation is to ensure that nature will be around for future generations to enjoy and also to recognize the importance of wildlife and wilderness for humans and other species alike. Many nations have government agencies and NGO's dedicated to wildlife conservation, which help to implement policies designed to protect wildlife. Numerous independent non-profit organizations also promote various wildlife conservation causes.
Wildlife conservation has become an increasingly important practice due to the negative effects of human activity on wildlife. An endangered species is defined as a population of a living species that is in the danger of becoming extinct because the species has a very low or falling population, or because they are threatened by the varying environmental or prepositional parameters.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

4. Introduction
• Snakes are a very large group of long reptiles.
• There are over 2,500-3000 different species of snakes on our
planet.
• Snakes are found on every continent in the world except
Antarctica.
• There are also no snakes native to Hawaii, Iceland, Ireland or
New Zealand.
• Snakes live in a variety of land and water habitats. The most
abundant snakes and the largest snakes are found in tropical
climates such as rainforests.
• About 15 venomous snakes found among 90 species in
Bangladesh.
4
5. Objectives
• Save or preserve the natural resources.
• Produce row materials of different types of medicine.
• Supply row materials of goods.
• Creates job opportunities on the farm.
• Meat and leather export to different courtiers.
5
6. How many farms are available in BD
• Snake farming in Gazipur. (Private Farm).
• Nandipara village of Patuakhali ( Private farm).
• Chittagong Medical College Hospital ( Government Project).
• In Gazipur, there a project going on under The Ministry of
Livestock and Fisheries.
• Some private farms are in Thakurgaon, Rajbari &Rajshahi.
6
7. Benefit of snake farming
• Anti-venom is the medicine that is used in snake bites treatment.
It is made using the venom of the snake.
• Venom drug also used in the treatment of Cancer & B- Virus
diseases.
• The snakes are even exported to foreign countries for exhibition
shows, zoological gardens and manufacture of leather goods.
• High amount of potassium cyanide collect from cobra that is
used in preparing medicine.
• By exporting venom, we can add remittance.
7
8. General Food Habit
• Some eat frogs, worms, fish, and other snakes.
• Others eat mice, rats, and other small mammals
• Some eat birds. Some eat eggs. Some eat nothing but insects.
• Some are venomous. Some constrict their prey to kill it. Some
just swallow their food whole.
• Some live in water almost all the time. Others live on the
desert floor. Still others live in the forest. Some never come
out of the trees.
• Some are tiny, some are absolutely monstrous.
8
9. Import & Export Condition of Venom
Chart of exporting countries and their percentage:

2 Snouted Cobra 190.00
3 Black Mamba 495.00
4 Green Mamba 510.00
5 Swamp Viper 2000.00
10
12. How to culture (traditionally)
The snake farming started recently in our country. In different
place of Bangladesh snake farms are visible. The cultivation
process is very easy but difficult to management.
Make hole on the surface of house according to its body shape.
In the winter season can be used some straw on the hole to
provide comfort to the snake.
One the other hand, would be used some concrete structure to
keep the snake.
Small boxes are also used to keep the snake.
12
14. 1. Milking
• One “milking “of a snake produces about 100 mg of liquid
venom, which in turn produces about 10 mg of dry venom.
• Snakes can be “milked” on average about 20 times each
season. Thus, a single viper will produce 2000 mg liquid or 0.2
gm dry venom.
14
15. 2.Feeding Snakes
• Snake foods may contain mice, rats and chickens. The rodents
should be clean and healthy.
• A snake may consume one or two mice at one feeding per
week. It is advisable to breed rats in the snake farm.
• However, initially, the farm may feed the snakes with small
chickens
15
16. 3. Snake Breeding
• Reproduction in snakes varies between species –some lay
eggs, just like the dinosaurs did, some give birth to live young,
just like mammals.
• A breeder must know the sex of the snakes, for example, corn
snakes become sexually mature between 18 and 24 months.
• Before this time it is very difficult to tell what sex they are
because their reproductive organs have not developed enough
to be noticeable.
• This is a very delicate procedure to only experienced people
should perform such a task.
• Snakes are believed to live for more than 20 years in the wild,
however, in captivity, some species will live as long as 50
years.
16
17. 4.Care for the Eggs
• The position of each egg as it lie in the nest box and maintain
this position when transferring the eggs into the incubator.
• The eggs should be placed inside a container which should
then be placed inside an incubator that will maintain
temperature at 820F and should have humidity.
• The eggs should hatch in 6 to 8 weeks but it can take more
weeks.
17
18. Problems of snake farming
In Bangladesh - snake farmers are faced different types of
problems. There are two main problems ….
• Capital problem: Government as well as NGO does not
provide any financial support to the snake farmers. It is
consider as a main barrier to develop snake farming.
• License problem: Our government does not provide any
license to snake farmers that is also consider as a barrier to
develop snake farming.
Others problems are ….
• Proper guideline of snake farming.
• Academic knowledge.
• Skillful or experienced manpower.
18
19. • Some dishonest persons continue sell venom to south Asian &
European country in illegal way.
• The proper managemental system & unabundant help of Govt.
& scarcity of trained person is also responsible for this
condition
19
20. Conclusion
The snake farmers are in poor condition in Bangladesh.
Government should take responsibility on this area.
Because our nearest country has been developed many years
ago in this sector.
From this area they produce row materials with of medicine,
goods etc revenue.
One the hand our farmers don’t get any permission from
government to develop their farm or business.
That’s why our farmers go wrong track to sell venom to the
other country illegally.
Due to unavailability of commercial snake farm in Bangladesh,
we are greatly losing remittance.
