Introduction
 Designer DaanRoosegaarde has
installed the LARGEST SMOG
FREE TOWER IN THE
WORLD”.
 The tower installed in a
parking garage here in
the Netherlands.
 It sucks and cleans both the
inside and outside air “Inside
the parking garage” the air
became 70% cleaner.
HOW ITS WORKED SMOKE FREE
TOWER
 The technology powering
based on ozone free ion
technology.
 The seven-metre high tower
sucks in dirty air like a giant
vacuum cleaner.
 Smog Free tower cleans the air
by sucking in smog from the
top and releasing filtered air
through its six-sided vents.
 The fine dust that would
normally harm us is
collected together with the
ions and stored inside of the
tower.
 It is able to clean 30,000
cubic metres of air an per
hour.
CONTROLLED PM2.5 & PM 10
 By charging the Smog
Free Tower with a small
positive current, an
electrode will send
positive ions into the air.
These ions will attach
themselves to fine dust
particles.
 The fine dust that would normally harm us is collected
together with the ions and stored inside of the tower.
 A negatively charged surface – the counter electrode –
will then draw the positive ions in, together with the
fine dust particles.
SUCCESS FOR ROOSEGAARDE’S FIRST SMOG FREE TOWER IN CHINA
 China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection reports
55% cleaner air in the vicinity of the Smog Free Tower.
 Dutch designer & innovator DaanRoosegaarde
presents successful test results of the world’s largest
smog vacuum cleaner in Beijing, China. The Smog
Free Project, consisting of the Smog Free Tower and
Smog Free Jewellery, concluded the first chapter of its
China tour in Beijing. Following its successful Beijing
exhibition, Smog Free Project will continue its China
tour to more Chinese cities.
 For a period of 41 days,
the Smog Free Tower has
cleaned a volume of 30
million m3 of Beijing’s.
 Beijing’s air which equals
to a volume of 10 Beijing
National Stadiums.
Smog Free Tower Helps Turn Smog
Into JEWELRY
 After the tower collects
piles of black powder, the
designers will turn it into
rings. Diamonds take too
much energy to produce so,
instead, the designers will
make simple square rings
with a cube of compressed
pollution.
 Every ring holds as much
smog as 1,000 cubic meters
of city air.
