WORKSHOP OVERVIEW:
The growing realisation that the world is on the threshold of a “Golden Age of Gas” has re-ignited interest
in technologies that maximise the value of natural gas. One of the most promising is Gas-to-Liquids (GTL),
a process that converts plentiful cheap gas into high-value premium oil products and specialities such as
waxes. After decades of development, the technology leaders Shell and Sasol have proved that the
technology not only works but can be employed in highly profitable projects, such as the Pearl and Oryx
facilities in Qatar. Today we are seeing the commercialisation of multiplying technologies at large and
small-scale that have broadened the spectrum of GTL applications. This workshop will look at the
opportunities and the challenges involved in implementing GTL projects and marketing their output.
WELCOME DRINKS RECEPTION
SMi Group invite all workshop,
conference delegates, speakers and
sponsors to join them for a networking
welcome drinks reception at 5:30pm at
