INTRODUCTION
• To develop a Bluetooth based home automation with Arduino
UNO
• UNO board and Arduino UNO
• application
• Remote controlled home automation system provide a simple
solution with android application technology
• Remote operation is achieved by any smart phone/tablet etc.,
with android OS upon a GUI (graphical user interface) based
touch screen
BLOCK DIAGRAM OF ARDUINO WITH BLUETOOTH
MODULE
HARDWARE REQUIRMENT
• Passive Infrared Sensor (PIR)
• Infrared Sensor
• Arduino UNO
• Bluetooth Module –HC-05
• 12V Relay
• Power Supply
ARDUINO UNO
• The Arduino UNO is micro controller board based on the
ATmega382p
• It has 40 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as MVM
outputs), 6 analog inputs a 16 MHz quartz crystal, a USB
connection, a power jack, an ICSP header and reset button.
• Simply connected to a with a USB cable power with a AC-to-DC
adapter or battery to get started.
BLUETOOTH MODULE –HC-05
• For the communication between phone and Bluetooth Module –
HC-05 is used
• HC-05 is low power 1.8V operation and it easy to use with
Bluetooth SPP (serial port protocol)
• Serial port Bluetooth module
ANDROID APPLICATION ON MOBILE
PHONES
• An android app is meant for phones with an android base
operating system. They can be downloaded from the android
app market which is pre-loaded on every android phone.
• Blue control app and Bluetooth spp app are some examples.
ANDROID APPLICATION OPERATED
BLUETOOTH
• The android platform include supports for the Bluetooth network
stacks, which allows the device to wirelessly exchange data with
other Bluetooth devices.
• The application frame work provides access to the Bluetooth
functionality through the android Bluetooth APIs.
• This project can provide the facility of monitoring all the appliances
with in the communication range through Bluetooth.
• The schematic of android is open source, for the future enhancement
of the project board can be extend to add more hardware features.
ADVANTAGES
• It is a robust and easy to use that system.
• There is no need of extra training ton that person who is using
it.
• All the control would be in your hand by using the home
automation system.
CONLUSION
• Home automation is undeniably a resource which can make a
home environment automated.
• People can control there electric devices via these home
automation devices and set up the controlling actons in the
computer.
• We think this product have high potential for marketing in the
future.
