11. TIMBER
-Timber is one of the few natural, renewable building materials
-Being a natural resource, timber is not toxic, and is safe to handle and touch
-it also ages naturally and does not break down into environmentally damaging material
-Timber is a greenhouse positive product with a lower net environmental impact than most
other building materials
- Improved emotional state, and self-expression
Improved air quality by moderating humidity, encouraging easier breathing
-Feelings of warmth and comfort
-Lower blood pressure, heart rate, and stress levels
- timber is a combustible material but it burns in a slow, predictable and measurable way.
12. STEEL
-Steel is tensile. It has a high strength to weight ratio which means it has high strength
per unit mass
-Steel can be easily fabricated and produced massively
-Steel sections can be produced off-site at shop floors and then assembled onsite
-Structural steel is very flexible. You can mold it into any shape, without changing its
properties
- steel each have their unique appeal and will provide a flourishing growing environment
that you can enjoy year-round
13. GLASS
-creating a fresh and wider atmosphere.
-glass provides a clear view and allows the sun to flood into the Twin House, making it a bright and
pleasant space like no other.
-glass will certainly be elegant and suitable for both modern, contemporary, traditional and classic styles
-The glass is also very easy to clean, some types are even self-cleaning, so maintenance can be considered
minimal.
-Glass is also very resistant and extremely durable
14. CONCRETE
-durability in any environment
-a building material that doesn’t burn, rust or rot
-Concrete’s ability to store energy (its thermal mass) helps moderate interior temperature conditions,
reducing a building’s heating and cooling demands over its service life by up to 8%
-Thanks to their durability, resilience, low maintenance requirements and energy efficiency, concrete
structures reduce operating costs related to operational energy consumption, maintenance, and
rebuilding following disasters
-Concrete can be recycled as aggregate
15. On the front facade, the multi-decks structure is created with
cat ladders so that the mezzanine study deck is connected
externally to the bedroom above. This deck also functions as a
floating garden for the house, with potted plants and creepers
growing on the decks and screens. Besides, this multi-decks
structure also breaks the symmetry of the house and make the
two mirrored units appeared to be as one.
