Skyscrapers
What is a skyscraper?
A skyscraper is a very tall building that has
an iron or steel frame inside that supports
its floors and walls. Before builders figured
out how to make steel frames, stone or
brick walls had to bear the weight of
structures. If the walls were built too high
the building would collapse from all the
weight.
