SuitUp with Fox held a career preparation event for 32 students from diverse backgrounds where they interacted with 39 volunteers from various roles at Fox. Students reported feeling more confident in school and their careers after working with SuitUp coaches. Both students and volunteers believed the event had a positive impact, with 91% of students saying it influenced their career choices and interest in fields related to marketing, media, and business. All participants expressed interest in participating in future SuitUp events.

MEET THE PARTICIPANTS:
Volunteers and students who participated came
from many diverse backgrounds and
demographics. Here are some of the
demographics of our participants:
Male, Female, African American,
Hispanic / Latinx, Caucasian, Asian / Pacific
Islander, Middle Eastern / North African, and
Multi-Racial. Volunteers held entry, mid level
and leadership roles and the students were in
the 7th - 8th Grade.

SuitUp asked students if Fox’s SuitUp competition made an
impact on their future career choice. 91% of students said that
engaging with the volunteers influenced their career choice and
now they can see themselves using skills such as communication,
teamwork and public speaking.
