Business Case Challenge
Through SuitUp, volunteers from PHD Media and
Facebook and students from across the nation
participated in a SuitUp business competition in
which they created a marketing campaign in
celebration of Black History Month for a specific
brand. Volunteers coached students in various
departments before helping them pitch to judges
for a cash prize.

Students from Brooklyn, the Bronx, Chicago, Detroit, and Atlanta joined PHD
Media and Facebook volunteers for the SuitUp with PHD sponsored by
Facebook competition. These students spanned from a multitude of diverse
backgrounds and experiences, ranging from first-time SuitUp competition
participants to veteran scholars who have participated in more than 5 SuitUp
competitions.

SuitUp asked students if PHD and Facebook’s SuitUp competition made an
impact on what they want to study when they go to college. 80% of students
said the volunteers helped them come to this conclusion.
