Short Film Description
Name – Trouble in Paradise
I have chosen this name as I believe it will intrigue the audience through its use
of juxtaposition. Itwill make them curious to whatthe ‘trouble’ is.
Length
The length of my film will be approximately 7-8 minutes. I made surethat it fit
within the requirements of the 5-10 minute time frame.
Props
- Handgun
- Tent
- Pack of cards
- Beer bottle
- Car
- iPhone x3
- Back pack
Target Audience
The target audience of my film would mainly teenagers from the age of 15-
18, who are interested in drama films. I would havequite a wide scale
audience as children fromall categories of the NRS scale could be
interested in the film. However, teens from C2 - E may find it quite hard to
relate to my characters as they lead quite a rich and privileged lifestyle.
FromBlumler and Katz audience theory, people who fall within the A- C1
category will be able to formpersonalidentity with the characters Harvey,
Simon and Al. The target audience would find themselves reflected in these
characters. This is because they havewhat is considered to be an ordinary
lifestyle.
Through diversion, the audience would use the film as a form of escapism
fromeveryday life such as schooland other activities. I will make my film
gripping and captivating to keep the audience interested to achieve this. For
example, the gun shotscene will be a memorable moment for the audience
therefore creating a diversion from other problems.
