Epic ASAP System Analyst II
(Emergency Room EMR application).
• Assisted Epic analyst and collaborated with Super Users to revise the Head to Toe infant/pediatric
assessment that resulted in increased client satisfaction and better more efficient documentation allowing
the ED staff to spend more time ensuring quality patient care.
• On Call support analyst resolving issues within one to five working days resulting in increased end user
satisfaction.
• Partnered with the Go-Live team and end users to ensure the switch to Epic EMR for two hospitals was
coordinated with little disruption of quality patient care.
• Created both application and integrated test scripts for refinement, upgrade testing and Go Live which
insured the switch to the new system went so well the Command Center ramped down within the week
and closed after two weeks.
• Attended Security Work Group meetings as the ASAP analyst to ensure that changes did not affect
ASAP end user workflows.
• Collaborated with the compliance team and the ED MD champions to revise the LQF (Procedure
SmartForm) Procedural Sedation Procedure to meet documentation standards for deep sedation.
• Coached, mentored and directed new ASAP analyst in trouble shooting issues, and creating Change
Requests to resolve these issues which has resulted in greater client satisfaction and continued good
patient care.
• Instructed the ID’s and Certified Instructors and Super Users to ensure that any changes
proposed/instituted are communicated to the end users before they are implemented.
• Collaborated with Epic Analyst to upgrade from Epic 2010 to Epic 2012. This allowed end users greater
functionality and greater efficiency in documenting in the EMR.
• Worked with CHI National (hospital company with hospitals in other regions) to address Optimization
request that were to be implemented in all markets.
• Evaluating three Epic Builds to ensure the changes instituted would mirror each other, starting two
different change request process and communicating changes in all three markets.
