This document discusses different options for integrating an on-premise Active Directory with Microsoft Office 365: no integration, directory integration (synchronization), and Active Directory authentication. Directory integration allows maintaining a single user directory and moderately quick deployment but requires a separate login. AD authentication provides a single sign-on via Active Directory, simplifies application logins, and maintains a single directory, but has a more complex deployment. The document provides example architectures and pros and cons of each option.
SharePoint: Internet, Intranet, Extranet - Bringing Organizations TogetherPerficient, Inc.
Microsoft SharePoint® Portal Server enables enterprises to deploy an intelligent portal that seamlessly connects users, teams, and knowledge so that people can take advantage of relevant information across business processes to help them work more efficiently. Two great examples are Washington University in St. Louis’ division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences and Cassidy Turley.
Washington University: The Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis was in need of not only a new web site, but a whole new platform to design and develop a dynamic internet presence. Bu utilizing Sharepoint, the new site has given us an efficient and smooth interface with many types of social networking, straightforward integration with existing database of information to broaden the reach of the division to our diverse audiences, and expanded ease of content management staff as well as constituents.
Cassidy Turley: Cassidy Turley is one of the biggest commercial real estate management organizations in the country, with diversified branches and numerous locations across United States – one of them being their brokerage division. In order to integrate all their business units, they needed a platform to organize and disseminate information across the organization and their existing platform was not serving their needs. By using Sharepoint 2010 they were able to create synergy within their organization across multiple divisions.
In this presentation, Perficient leverages its extensive SharePoint user experience design, customization, and implementation expertise to guide you in understanding the criticality of SharePoint user experience (UX) in driving user adoption, and to provide you with user experience best practices in the areas of information architecture and visual design, technical configuration and customization, and user experience server deployments.

The Rise of SharePoint as a Business Critical HubDan Barker
SharePoint has matured since its inception in the early 2000’s from a product that provides a lot of important features to a full blown platform that small and large business are building critical solutions on. The average $1 billion company maintains, on average, 48 disparate financial systems and uses 2.7 ERP systems. SharePoint enables incredible interoperability to these various systems in a way that’s consistent across various groups within the enterprise. In this session we will talk about how SharePoint can be used to create convergence across the various line of business systems in a way that not only saves time and money but also breaks down silos that impeded productivity and innovation.
If you’re already using or thinking of moving to Microsoft Office 365, you’ll need to think about where to store your precious documents.
Microsoft SharePoint integrates with Office 365 and allows organisations to set up a centralised, password protected space to store and manage documents, create an intranet and collaborate on projects.
In this webinar with charity IT experts, Co-Operative Systems, we look at:
• What is SharePoint and why use it
• Key features explained

Practical tips for migrating SharePoint Customizations to Office 365Haniel Croitoru
When planning a migration of SharePoint on-premises environment to Office 365, the first thing that comes to mind is organizations often focus mainly on their content - all the documents and items stored across their libraries and lists. Of course, why wouldn't they? It's the reason that they started using SharePoint anyways. But in many cases, the SharePoint environment that has been well adopted and his highly use will include some level of customizations to help meet specific business needs. These may include forms and workflows, scheduled timer jobs, custom look and feel, business logic to interface with other line of business solutions, to name a few.
Join me as we take a look at ways to create a SharePoint Online environment that will provide a similar experience for your users. We will look are various technologies, including CSOM Scripting, Microsoft Flow, PowerApps, Forms, LogicApps, and Azure Functions.

This webinar covered the following topics.
- Understanding the fine print in the service level agreement
- Staff training and buy-in required
- Costs involved in setting it up
- Moving data in and how to move data out in the future

It can also be used to accelerate dictionary upgrades, including the transition from WHODrug B2 format to B3.
Through API (Application Programming Interface) web services, the coding engine can be integrated with custom or off-the-shelf drug safety, medical coding, or data management systems.
In this webinar, Perficient and UMC discussed WHODrug Koda and how you can integrate it into your medical coding activities.
Preparing for Your Oracle, Medidata, and Veeva CTMS Migration ProjectPerficient, Inc.
There are multiple reasons why companies migrate to a new clinical trial management system (CTMS). Still, the two most common are mergers and acquisitions (i.e., CTMS consolidation) and the desire to switch CTMS vendors. Regardless of the reason, many of the best practices, processes, and tools are the same.
In this webinar, we looked at the migration approaches taken across several case studies. You’ll come away with an understanding of:
Pros and cons of each CTMS migration method
Types of migration tools, including APIs, ETL tools, and adapters
Approximate timelines and costs associated with each migration method
The topics discussed in this webinar can be applied to any CTMS migration project, whether you’re moving to or from Oracle’s Siebel CTMS, Medidata’s Rave CTMS, and Veeva’s Vault CTMS.

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
