This document outlines 3 steps for identifying and managing stakeholders during a shared services project: 1. Identify stakeholders and assess their level of support and influence on a grid. Determine if they are positively or negatively inclined. 2. Transfer stakeholders to a management matrix detailing current/desired support levels, engagement approaches, and relationship owners. 3. Categorize stakeholders as critics, neutrals, supporters, or advocates and provide tips on leveraging each group for the project. Regularly review and update the matrix to adjust to changing support levels.
