something stirring or
affecting or moving.

4. A dramatic entrance is
something that catches and
holds our attention and has
an emotional impact. If our
teaching is dramatic, our
students get attracted,
interested and affected.

5. PLAYS
Depicts life, character,
or culture or a combination
of all three. It vividly
portrays important ideas
about life.

6. PAGEANTS
Community dramas that
are based on local history,
presented by local actors.
Historical pageant that traces
the growth of the school is
an example.

7. PANTOMIME
“Art of conveying
story through bodily
movements only.”

8. ROLE-PLAYING
Unrehearsed,
unprepared and
spontaneous
dramatization of “Let’s
pretend” situation.

9. TABLEAU
A picture-like scene
composed of people against
a background. It is used to
celebrate Independence
Day, Christmas, and United
Nations Day.

10. PUPPETS
It presents ideas
with extreme simplicity
even without
elaborative scenery or
costume.

11. Types of Puppet:
 Shadow Puppet: shown behind a
screen.
 Rod Puppet: flat cut-out figures
tacked to a stick.
 Hand Puppet: operated by the
forefinger.

12.  Glove and finger puppet:
make use of old gloves for
costume of the finger/hand
 Marionette: puppets
operated by strings or wire.

13. Teachers used to have a
dramatic entrance to catch
and holds the attention of
the students. It can also
bring the attraction and
interest of the students.
