University's Guiding Light
PRABHATI M. 1
He, who, by the Guru's Grace, Dwells on the (Waheguru's) Wisdom, he gathers Glory,
And within himself his Self becomes Manifest, and he is Blest with the Nectar-Name.[1]
O Creator-Waheguru, thou art my only Giver, my Host,
And this is the only charity I beg of Thee; Pray, Bless me with Thy Name. [1-Pause]
The Five Thieves, yea, the knowing faculties, one binds down to a point, and rids oneself of Ego:
And, lo, one is delivered of viewing the Vice: such is the Merit of Waheguru's Wisdom. [2]
Chastity and Modesty are the rice-balls, Compassion the wheat-doughs, and the Attainment of Waheguru,
the receiving
of charity in the leafy bowl,
And Deeds the milk, and Contentment the butter: such, are the Alms I ask from my Waheguru. [3]
Of the milch-cow of forgiveness and Patience, the calf of my Mind sucks in the milk of Equipoise.;
And I ask for the Robes of the Waheguru's Praise and of Humility and Submission (to His Will), and thus:
Do I Utter ever His Praise. [4-7]

Vice Chancellor’s Message
We are on the threshold of a new academic year, a fresh beginning with new
opportunities and challenges. Modern world has ushered in an era where knowledge can no
longer be confined to narrow disciplinary boundaries. In this era of globalization, knowledge is
expanding in newer areas which directly or indirectly impact human lives. However, quite
paradoxically the emerging knowledge society is not inclusive and seems to lack right moral-
ethical direction which is evident in the world becoming an increasingly violent place. Keeping
the moral-ethical aspect of the education in mind, we strive to disseminate knowledge for
social and economic transformation of the society, based on the lofty values embodied in the
sacred Sri Guru Granth Sahib and other holy scriptures. In keeping pace with the changing
imperatives of emerging job market, we have introduced market relevant courses in Emerging
Technologies which offer opportunities for gainful employment. Not only this, the university
in its pursuit of excellence, strives to inculcate leadership qualities and such abilities among
the students as would make them good researchers. We believe in professionalism coupled with
ethical and moral commitment leading to the development of holistic personality of the learners.
This lays great accountability on us to maintain highest standards of academic and moral
excellence. We have world class infrastructure, latest equipment and a team of dedicated
faculty to translate our dreams into reality. While focusing on intensive study and research in
the areas of world religions, cultures and civilizations, we lay equal stress on the teaching of
Emerging Technologies, Engineering, Management, Basic and Applied Sciences, Social
Sciences, Humanities and Languages.
University is approved under Section 2(f) of the UGCAct of 1956. We are making rapid
strides towards attaining a place of eminence among institutions of higher learning in the
country. The future beckons us and we are fully geared up for it.

he Mechanical Engineering is one of the most
versatile of all engineering professions. The
engineering field requires an understanding ofTcore concepts including mechanics, kinematics,
thermodynamics, material science and structural
analysis. Mechanical engineers use these core principles
along with tools like computer-aided engineering and
product lifecycle management to design and analyze
manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and
machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport
systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices
and more. The latest research areas include automation
and robotics, finite element analysis, computer aided
design, nanotechnology, Micro electro-mechanical
systems, biomechanicstonameafew.
The principles of mechanical engineering form the basis
of all engineering fields and find their use in every walk
of life. Some of the major areas of Mechanical
Engineering principles are as follows: Aeronautical,
Automobile, Agriculture, Electrical, Manufacturing,
Industrial, Power Plant, Defense Sector, Marine
Engineering, Railways, HVAC, Appliances for home
use, Appliances used in medicine and surgery, Plastic
industry, Semiconductor industry, Earth moving
equipments, Coal and Petroleum industry, Chemical

University's Guiding Light PRABHATI M. 1 He, who, by the Guru's Grace, Dwells on the (Waheguru's) Wisdom, he gathers Glory, And within himself his Self becomes Manifest, and he is Blest with the Nectar-Name.[1] O Creator-Waheguru, thou art my only Giver, my Host, And this is the only charity I beg of Thee; Pray, Bless me with Thy Name. [1-Pause] The Five Thieves, yea, the knowing faculties, one binds down to a point, and rids oneself of Ego: And, lo, one is delivered of viewing the Vice: such is the Merit of Waheguru's Wisdom. [2] Chastity and Modesty are the rice-balls, Compassion the wheat-doughs, and the Attainment of Waheguru, the receiving of charity in the leafy bowl, And Deeds the milk, and Contentment the butter: such, are the Alms I ask from my Waheguru. [3] Of the milch-cow of forgiveness and Patience, the calf of my Mind sucks in the milk of Equipoise.; And I ask for the Robes of the Waheguru's Praise and of Humility and Submission (to His Will), and thus: Do I Utter ever His Praise. [4-7] (Sri Guru Granth Sahib, P-1329)
  • 3. Dr. Gurmohan Singh Vice Chancellor Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab) ;qhr[o{ rqzE;kfjptobv:{Bhtof;Nh casfjrVQ ;kfjp (gzikp) Vice Chancellor’s Message We are on the threshold of a new academic year, a fresh beginning with new opportunities and challenges. Modern world has ushered in an era where knowledge can no longer be confined to narrow disciplinary boundaries. In this era of globalization, knowledge is expanding in newer areas which directly or indirectly impact human lives. However, quite paradoxically the emerging knowledge society is not inclusive and seems to lack right moral- ethical direction which is evident in the world becoming an increasingly violent place. Keeping the moral-ethical aspect of the education in mind, we strive to disseminate knowledge for social and economic transformation of the society, based on the lofty values embodied in the sacred Sri Guru Granth Sahib and other holy scriptures. In keeping pace with the changing imperatives of emerging job market, we have introduced market relevant courses in Emerging Technologies which offer opportunities for gainful employment. Not only this, the university in its pursuit of excellence, strives to inculcate leadership qualities and such abilities among the students as would make them good researchers. We believe in professionalism coupled with ethical and moral commitment leading to the development of holistic personality of the learners. This lays great accountability on us to maintain highest standards of academic and moral excellence. We have world class infrastructure, latest equipment and a team of dedicated faculty to translate our dreams into reality. While focusing on intensive study and research in the areas of world religions, cultures and civilizations, we lay equal stress on the teaching of Emerging Technologies, Engineering, Management, Basic and Applied Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities and Languages. University is approved under Section 2(f) of the UGCAct of 1956. We are making rapid strides towards attaining a place of eminence among institutions of higher learning in the country.
