The document compares key characteristics of PSTN, Internet, and NGN networks. It shows that NGN networks provide the highest levels of multimedia capability, quality of service, network intelligence, intelligent customer premises equipment, packet transport, distinct architecture, integrated control, service reliability, and evolvability/modularity. NGN also provides the shortest time to market while enabling more systematic service creation and the highest levels of ease of use and architecture openness.

Service Broker for VOIP IMA WebRTC and old telecom networksALTANAI BISHT
SB( Service Broker ) enables us to make use of existing applications and services from Intelligent Network’s SCP ( Service control Point ) , IMS’s Application Server as well as other sources in a harmonized manner .
Service broker is a service abstraction layer between the network and application layer in telecom environment.
This document describes the process of integrating a Service Broker with service harmonization and orchestration in a telco environment .
Convergence of digital information has been initiated a couple decades ago. Practically, almost all networks have now been utilising Internet Protocol. However, networks, applications, and contents managements vary by the nature of service types: IMS, SDP, IPTV, etc. Should another convergence be arranged to unify the management of the entire network for optimal results?

Curating Social Media Data And Compiling Them TogetherPitra Satvika
How do you search for Indonesia's social media data? How do you compile them together? How do you put them all into context?

JKT48 is the first overseas sister group of AKB48. It has been more than a year since JKT48’s first public performance. The group has appeared in many television show in Indonesia and Japan. They have shown their stage performance in many occasions, from requested public performance to their own personal shows in theater. They have fans that stay loyal with them, attending to most of their shows and events. Fans that keep on supporting the group’s members in any way they can.
In February 2013 a survey was distributed in Twitter. The survey asked about JKT48’s fans demographics and behaviors. Fans answered how do they know about JKT48, why do they love them, and to what extend fans will go to support them. The survey received 561 respondents.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
