Why Your Website Needs SEO and How To Hire The Right SEO CompanyChristopher Dill
You have built a business with your bare hands. Realizing that you need help can be tough to swallow.
At Virginia SEO, we are often called into meetings with small business owners who know they need help in the SEO front. More often than not, these business owners have no idea WHAT sort of help they need. Often they know what the acronym SEO means, but they have a false impression of what SEO entails. Getting started as a small business owner on a topic that you are not comfortable is tough. We often have to “hand hold” a client through the process, and this can really be a ton of fun. We thoroughly enjoy SEO, and sharing it with people (especially small business owners) is great.

#Digitalzone20 Top 12 Tips for a Better #SEO LifeJudith Lewis

#BrightonSEO - Hacking Keyword ResearchJudith Lewis
Keyword research needs to evolve to look beyond lists of words generated by free tools in to a piece of topical research, segmented in to sensible groupings and using data to assess the relative difficulty of the keyword.
This deck was presented at BrightonSEO October 1, 2020 and hopefully will be useful beyond the event though without the voice over it doesn't make as much sense :-)
You've heard of Schema, structured data, rich results, semantic, so on, and so on. It can be overwhelming if you're new to it, and it can be a lot to handle if you're not new to it. The webinar dove into Schema markup essentials and we discussed the most important things you need to know to successfully implement structured data on your website. If you'd like more than just the slides, pop on over to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RORK-d4Icko and you can watch the whole event!
I mention the Projects section of SEMRush during the webinar - I am a SEMRush influencer but I do use it all the time regardless of that status.
The Magic of Link Building was a @semrush talk with @_nitmanJudith Lewis
From the live #SEMRush event my presentation about link building. This covers the types of things to look for and think about.
The session itself included a Q&A with Craig Campbell and Ross Tavendale and contains additional information. If you want to see the whole session, use this URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpChn0fyAFU
Always remember that you should be reaching out to relevant sites with visitors likely to click on the link and convert. NEVER place links to try and manipulate rankings because if they don't work, you've wasted time. Placing links likely to send traffic means that no matter what happens to rankings, you make sales.

Digital Olympus SEOs vs PRs vs Bloggers - FIGHT!Judith Lewis
With Google suggesting 35% - 40% of the value assigned to a website (which is used to rank sites) is based on links, these are increasingly the focus of businesses looking to increase their online visibility. Some PR agencies are selling blogger link building as a service (an SEO specialism) but who can you trust now Google is handing out penalties based on bad links? Most valuable links seem to come from bloggers but how to you judge who is right for your business? How do you reach the quality influencers most effectively? Where are these secret blogger groups? Should you go with a PR for outreach, a specialist SEO agency or do it yourself? In this Digital Olympus session you will be taught how to use the tools available to find, assess and reach out to influencers as well as assessing potential bloggers reaching out to you.

Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.

of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
