Also known as Simple or Assertive Sentence. A
simple sentence is that in which some declaration or
assertation is made or an opinion is expressed.
e.g. I'm charming.

An Imperative Sentence is that in which command,
order, advice, request or emergency plea is made.
An imperative sentence can end either with full stop
or sign of exclamation.
e.g. Get lost, Please give me your Mac etc

Thus all the questions are interrogative
sentences. An interrogative sentence is always
followed by Question Mark (?).
e.g. Who are you?
An exclamatory sentence is the one in which
sudden expressions of surprise, grief, joy, and
fear are made. An exclamatory sentence always
ends with the sign of exclamation.
e.g. What the hell!
Optative Sentences are those in which wishes
are made. It ends with the sign of
exclamation.
e.g. May you live long!
