2 Job Specification – main duties & responsibilities
The company are currently looking for a Senior Pipeline Engineer to work within our Engineering Department
based in Stavanger and Oslo. You will provide comprehensive engineering support related to the design,
fabrication, manufacture, installation and pre-commissioning of the oil export pipeline and associated equipment.
Duties Include:
o Lead the development of the oil export pipeline installation and operating permit
applications.
o Review and critique contractor prepared design work scope, installation procedures
and other documentation related to the oil export pipeline.
o Track progress of vendors and contractors.
o Interface with other work packages regarding the oil export pipeline, fabrication and
installation work scope.
o Work offshore and/or overseas as may be required attending contractor meetings and
providing oversight of related work activities – e.g., actual installation associated
work.
Candidates must possess:
• Broad technical understanding of trunk line design and installation with some focus on deep
water. In addition, the candidate shall have the following qualifications:
o Working knowledge of typical pipeline welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, SAW,
GMAW, and TIG).
o Working knowledge of the management of change process and procedures.
o Experienced in critical path scheduling and construction management.
o Skilled ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
o Good organization and communication skills.
o Able to document work and maintain accurate and meticulous records.
o Good interpersonal skills.
o Good teamwork skills.
