A Teaching method
For SLA

Karakoram international university
INTRODUCTION
Being a student of a second language, I
myself do not understand concepts of a
second language by using various methods
of teaching proposed by reknown linguists
and philosophers. I felt a dire need of a
new teaching method which will cater the
needs of many students like me.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
• I will develop a new method of teaching
which will enable the students of Gilgit to
understand and comprehend the SLA
easily.
OBJECTIVES
• My attempt is to remove the barriers in
the field of effective communication in
second language as well as integration of
language skills i.e listening, reading,
writing and speaking of a second
language by the students of Gilgit region.
RESEARCH QUESTION
• 1.Why do a student is unable to speak
and write his second language in Gilgit?
• 2.What are the basic problems faced by
second language acquirers?
• 3.What should be the possible solution of
these problems?
• 4.Are these solutions effective?
LITERATURE REVIEW
Teaching methods which were mainly
focused on are
1: grammar translation method
2: direct method
3: audio-lingual method
4: suggestopedia
HYPOTHESIS
• following hypothesis wew made
• 1.student are unable to speak and pursue the
second language because they are not given
special environment.
• 2.Students are not given enough work to do by
themselves.
• 3.All the teaching methods are not feasible in
Gilgit region.
DRAWBACKS
• Endeavors to minimize the flaws of
language acquirers
• Might not be feasible to all the regions of
world.
• Specified to the gilgit region
METHODOLOGY
• Type of method I have used
• Qualitative research analysis
• open ended questionnares
• Detailed answers
• feild surveys and cheking of feasibilty of
methods by regular comparative classes
POPULATION
• entire gilgit will be population
• Gov't as well as well as private schools
and colleges.
• KIU will be in main focus.
SAMPLE
• probablity sampling
• simple random
• without any biase
• students as well as teachers will be
engaged in practical activities.A
RESEARCH INSTRUMENTS
• My research will be completed using
following instruments:
• 1.Questionnaires
• 2.Triangulation
• 3.Field surveys
DATA COLLECTION & ANALYSIS
• Data gathering is the important step of a
research . I will collect data in numerical
values to ensure the accuracy of the data.
To analyze this very data, I will use the
statistical analysis and will find mean
values of all the research findings.
