Symbolism In Stephen King s Movie It
Due to how interested I am with this captivating film, I once again decided to research a review on
the movie IT directed by Andy Muschiettie. Specifically looking for an article discussing
symbolism I stumbled upon Stephen King s It is the rare monster movie with too much monster
written by Tahsa Robinson. Collectively, the passage discusses many elements of symbols in the
film, but ultimately leads back to how the title monster makes appearance too often (Robinson).
However, I disagree with this statement because the creature is presented to remind the audience
that It is always there; terrorizing its prey before consumption as one would season a piece of
meat before a meal. This directing style of presenting the monster in the beginning and often
throughout is different from that of other movie that keep the monster hidden to build suspense
and fear. Having It on screen in multiple scenes allows terror to build for the victims or, in the
case of the film, for the victims to develop bravery in the face of fear. I do agree with the author s
analysis on the aspects of the film and the symbols presented to the audience. In particular, I whole
heartedly agree with what she states about one of the adolescent characters:... Show more content on

Tutorial 4 Notes Essay
Business in Asia Tutorial Program Semester 2, 2014 Guide Notes Tutorial 4: Japan: Changing
business environment growth, stagnation and Abenomics 1. Outline very briefly the main factors
that led to the bubble economy of the 1980s and its crash? The appreciation of the Yen following
the Plaza Accords under US pressure and the policy responses. п‚· Japanese industries lost
international competitiveness and the economy slowed. The government loosened monetary
policies to counteract this and stimulate the economy. п‚· The supply of money expanded, this
money was invested in domestic assets (real estate and stock market) whose prices went up; as
their prices went up people invested more funds, prices went up even more, then people invested...

(b) Japanese investors do not see any better investment options. In theory they could invest in
foreign markets. But in practice there has been strong home bias in investment, and many large
pension funds etc have been managed by bureaucrats who have been very conservative.
International conditions have been very volatile and Japanese yen has been seen as a safe haven
currency because Japan as a country is not an indebted country, say like the US. So, the currency
has tended to be quite strong, often appreciating; this reduced the attraction of investing abroad. 4.
Why is the Japanese government in debt, but Japan is a net saver? Recall national income accounts.
National savings are not the same as government savings. National savings = private sector
(households + corporates) savings + government savings. Household and corporate savings have
been, until very recently, consistently higher than government borrowings, though household
savings have been coming down in line with demographic trends (aging population). Corporations
(firms) have overall some have invested in foreign countries through FDI felt that investment
options in Japan are poor, so they have been saving rather than investing. 5. Why have corporate
savings increased in Japan, and what does it indicate about business expectations?

The Effects Of Drought And Its Effects On The Environment
Since we moved into the 21st century, the condition of global environment is one of the most
popular topics, and it created many controversies. Those topics are wide ranged, from the natural
disasters like earthquake, tornado or volcano eruption; to the man made disasters like nuclear war
or air / water / sound pollutions. As a student, I too am interested and have some concerns for the
planet that we are living in. Among the disasters, droughtis the one that I want to learn more about
it. So what is drought? Drought is described as a period of time when the water supply is
decreasing, and the length of the drought might occur in months or even years (basicplant). It
occurs in virtually all climatic zones and its characteristics may be different in certain regions.
According to The Ojos Negros Research Group, the characteristics of the drought are scarcity of
water, low precipitation, and mostly occurred in dry season . Other climatic factors like high wind
/temperature and low relative humidity (The Ojos Negros Research Group) are usually related
with the drought. Drought can be put into four categories based on the regions, needs, and
disciplinary approaches. The first type of drought is called Meteorological drought; it is defined on
the basis degree of dryness [compare to a normal/average amount], and the duration of the dry
period (National Drought Mitigation Center). Agricultural drought is the second type and it is
similar to the Meteorological drought, but

Learning From The Unit On Division Essay
VI: Learning from Practice The Reflection
Conclusions and Instructional Decision Making
When reviewing the data collected from the unit on division, it is clear that there was positive
student growth. Through the various forms of assessment during this unit, each was able to assess
students on their level of achievement toward reaching each of the three SLOs. Students were
given a pre assessment, as well as at least one formative assessment for each SLO, as well as a
summative post assessment. Based on the data collected from the pre assessment, the class
average was a score of 43%. By the end of the unit, after about a three week period, the class
average on the final summative assessment was 78%. This shows a growth in the scores for the
class as a whole, as a positive 35%. This type of growth is phenomenal for this unit, as the concept
of the division can be extremely abstract. When assessing students throughout this unit, their
performance and level of understanding of each SLO had a major effect on the scheduling and
rigor of each lesson and skill. Students were each place into one of four tiered groups based on
their behaviors as well as their performance. Each group of students is typically on the same
level, therefore, progressing at a similar pace. As an inclusion classroom with ten students having
IEPs, there is a large range of ability levels. Therefore, the delivery of instruction and forms of
assessment for each tiered group was modified to meet the needs of

Criminal Court Trial Research Paper
When watching crime shows such as Law and Order, individuals are given insight into how
criminal court trials work. However, there are specific details that these shows usually skip because
there boring, but these proceedings tend to be complicated. There are three branches of government
that include: legislative, executive and the judicial branches. The Judicial Branch is the sector of
government that presides over criminal cases and interprets the law. Within the system there are
various courts a person can be tried such as: Criminal Court, Family Court, Civil Court and
Supreme Court. This enables individuals the power to check the judicial system by brining their
case to different courts. Furthermore, each state has their own regulations that must be followed by
the citizens. In New York City Criminal and Supreme court begin to consider children adults when

Thus, family court takes precautions with cases concerning the youth. Once the child turns
eighteen their criminal record is sealed as opposed to when an adult commits a crime (Reuters 1).
The supreme court case of Schall v. Martin established the policy known as prevention detention,
which would safeguard juveniles from future violence (Fagan 419). When a person is tried in
family court there are different regulations the defendant must follow. As opposed to criminal court
the main objection in Family Court is to rehabilitate the youth (Emery 500). Many of the legal cases
presented in Family Court, often motivated by the principle of maintaining the best interest of the
child. However, in the 1960 s it became more common to use punishment for children in family
court because they were not learning from their mistakes (Emery 501). Furthermore, when

Ise Jingu Of Japan And The Great Stupa
In this essay, I will compare and contrast two sacred spaces; Ise Jingu of Japan and the Great
Stupa in India. First I will describe the sacred spaces and their artistic features, values and
importance. Afterwards, will come the analysis comparing the two in architectural design and
decisions, rather than the difference of religious belief or purpose. First, let s talk about Ise Jingu
situated in Japan. It is the largest Shinto shrine located in the city of Ise. Millions of people make
their pilgrimage to this shrine for either tourism or religious purposes. It holds a lot of both
spiritual and historical value of Japan. Spiritually as the shrine was made in light of the Sun
Goddess AmaterasuOmikami, and the traditional progenitor of the imperial Japanese family, later
another God Toyaku Okami being another sacred being, being worshipped. (Pletcher) The
architectural design of the shrine consists of many rows of buildings but the most distinct are two
large huts, being the inner (Naiku) and outer shrine (Geku). (Pletcher) Naiku was first constructed,
which had the Goddess of Amaterasu, later Geku with the intention of worshipping Toyaku Okami,
the god of food and benevolence. (Pletcher) The shrine is surrounded by a thick forest, which the
buildings were made from. Using the essence of nature, or ke , the priests and priestesses used the
surrounding trees as the buildings blocks of the shrine, as the trees had much devotion and
spirituality of the Japanese people.

Social Classes In The 19th Century
If the lower classes are not controlled it will be hard to maintain the social structure and prevent
internal conflict. In most societies throughout World History, a small, rich ruling class has
dominated the social and political aspects of society. The large majority of the population has
always been in the lower classes of society, and controlling these classes through fear, brute force,
economic oppression or appeasement is instrumental to maintain order. Failing to maintain control
often leads revolts, social upheavals or violent class struggles. While in most societies the upper
classes attempted to control lower classes, some were not successful. In the Roman Empire slaves
were subjected to difficult work and conditions. This led to many slave revolts during the second

cases, those with power and wealth, failed to satisfy or control the masses of lower class people

What is Tiny Tim s role in this novella? Explain. Why does Scrooge seem to care about him?
Tiny Tim s role is to resemble the effect of the actions scrooge takes part in. If Scrooge would

Bob Cratchit had a different perspective of life than scrooge. Bob tried to make everything
around him positive unlike Scrooge who was always filled with negative thoughts and ideas.
With Bob s personality even if something wasn t all great he would do his best to make it as
positive as it could possibly be. With his attitude towards things he took Scrooge s negative

to be the better person and hopefully try to reflect some of his nicer personality onto Scrooge.

Deirdre Sullivan Always Go To The Funeral Analysis
Students who are enrolled in Dual Credit English 1301 are expected to write suitable essays.
Unfortunately, students struggle to understand what a good essay consists of. After doing research
and analyzing This I Believe narratives, the one that stood out to me the most was the personal
narrative, Always Go to the Funeral by Deirdre Sullivan. Sullivan s use of rhetorical devices such
as, anecdote, diction, and pathos, make the article an effective essaythat students can analyze and
use as an example to follow.
Sullivan s essay includes many rhetorical devices; the first one that stands out is the anecdote
device because of the experience that she went through. She uses her personal life as a short story
to catch the reader s attention. This is an example of a great device that can be used for all essays,
because every paper needs a hook that will keep the reader interested from the moment they start

a reader s attention, this essay can make it less difficult to understand. Another thing that can help

emotions. In Sullivan s essay, the emotion that she was trying to convey was of how she wanted to
be indolent and not go to a funeral because she did not see the importance of it. I was 16 and trying
to get out of going to calling hours for Miss Emerson, my old fifth grade math teacher (Sullivan).
Even though she did not want to go to the funeral, she ended up going. Twenty years later, the
teacher s mother still remembers the author s name. This anecdote brings the emotion of
homesickness and melancholy. Pathos can help the author connect with the reader by displaying

In order for a child to excel in school they need to be well versed in reading therefore; I believe
that it is vital for all children to learn to read. Not only should reading be a fun and enjoyable
experience but something that influences the child to succeed in all subject areas. Reading is an
integral part of life that needs to be mastered. A child can master the basics of reading in the early
years and should be learned at that time due to the aggravation and frustration of learning those
skills later on, as he/she gets older. Although there are many children and adults alike that hate to

Throughout history, American society has famously taken advantage of non European cultures and

have famously exploited the cultures and stereotypes of Native American s and African Americans
for the sole purpose of profit and increased entertainment value. In American society, there has been
the era of Blaxploitation films in which African Americans society was shown through raunchy

into an irresponsible excuse of a mascot the can offend and can be considered disrespectful by
those in their society while being called an honor by those who use it. In some cases though, it
can be seen that when members of the respective societies that are being depicted within the

and shown to an audience that otherwise would have never thought about it. This was popularly
down through Dave Chappelle s, Chappelle s Show, and through rap music. As seen in the

There are three major features that I would say middle childhood contains. The three features are
physical, cognitive, and social. Physical is based on body growth and nutrition. Cognitive deals
with how students excel in different ways at school. Social means how students interact with
schoolmates and how they respond. They all are different aspects of a child, but they connect with
different places in their lives.
Physical growth, during this age period, continues at a slow pace like it did in early childhood,
but now health issues can start to occur. Nutrition is a key concept in a school age child s life.
Today, 32 percent of U.S. children and adolescents are overweight. (Berk, 2017, p. 228). This is an
eye opener that something needs to change in children s nutrition at home and at school.
The cognitive features of a child through middle childhood is just as important. Piaget s cognitive
developmental theory is described as, Development occurs as the brain grows and children exercise
their innate drive to discover reality in a generally stimulating environment. (Berk, 2017, p. 22).
This theory helps people look at individual differences. There are four different sections that are
looked at when dealing with cognitive development, those are conservation, classification, seriation,
and spatial reasoning. These four things separate children by their strengths.
During middle childhood, social understanding, to me, is

A local government cannot be allowed to flout Texas licensed carry laws, or any state laws,

after citizens had complained about signs banning handguns from certain buildings and
facilities. The issue of gun control is very important in government, Texas government
especially, because a good portion of Texas citizens own and carry handguns. It s a topic many
Texans are very passionate about on either side. This issue comes up a lot in presidential debates,

The objective of this study was to compare the accuracy and reliability of measurements made
between Plaster Study Models as compared to 3D Digital Study Models. Methods: Thirty study
models with different levels of crowding were selected from a private orthodontic clinic. Plaster
models were measured using hand held digital calipers in a random sequence. A single operator
in one sitting without magnification with anatomical dental landmarks being pre marked,
measured the plaster models and repeated the process a week later. 3D Study Models were
analyzed using the Smilefile viewer program and were assessed in a random sequence generated

Disadvantages of plaster models are that they are subject to physical damage and degradation over
time and require space for storage, which is not cost efficient 5 7. Recent advances in digital
models have allowed orthodontists to perform measurements on digital models. Digital models are
not subject to physical damage or degradation and do not require physical storage space.
Furthermore, they can be easily transferred to other clinicians or retrieved at multiple locations,
requiring only digital storage space 8. Similar studies on evaluation of digital study models in
orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning were performed and indicated that in the vast
majority of situations digital models can be successfully used for orthodontic records 9. A
comparison of the accuracy of linear measurements obtained from cone beam computerized
tomography images and digital models. These authors concluded that the linear measurements
obtained from CBCT image casts indicated a good level of accuracy when compared with
OrthoCAD models, and stated that the accuracy was considered adequate for initial diagnosis and
treatment planning in orthodontics 10. As a result of these findings, many

Teen Drinking Is The Biggest Social Issues Among Young...
Teenage drinking is one of the largest social issues among young people today. Although about
half of high schools today drink on a regular basis. (CDC) Most of them will say they only drink
when they are at parties with their friends. If they started drinking at the age of fifteen there is a six
percent chance that they will depend on alcoholwhen they get older. There are so many different
problems with teen drinking that I can talk about. The big one I want to talk about is when teens
drive when drinking. Ways to try and stop teen drinking is maybe by bring back Dare or have
SADD in schools again. The CDC reports that about ten percent of teens in 2013 have drove
after drinking alcohol. They even reported that twenty two percent have ridden with a driver
who had been drinking alcohol. Having shown these stats will make this even more probable
that car crashes are the leading cause of death for teens, and about a quarter of those crashes
involve an underage teen that was drinking and driving. Any teen that gets in a car after drinking
puts more than just their self at risk of getting injured or even worse dying. As a teenager
myself, I know how hard it is to say no to someone that has been drinking when they want to
drive. I have been in the spot more then once. When someone is in a car crash after drinking
alcohol their blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is 0.08% or higher. Knowing this there is a 1 in 5
teens that are involved in a fatal crash

Optimism The Most Powerful Thing In The World
Optimism is a powerful thing. We know it more commonly as hope. Hope empowers us, and lets
us press on even in the face of defeat. However, having too much of it can be dangerous. The Jews
for example, during World War II, they had too much hope, and they wound up dead. Allow me to
expand. As I said before, optimism(hope) is the most powerful thing in the world, with the second
being fear. However, having too much of it is very dangerous. Too much hope can cause people to
have tunnel vision. Hope can restrict the ability to notice, or recognize the things that are going on
around them. People can get caught in a feeling of unending optimism, and therefore miss
important things like hazards, or dangerous things that could be occurring around them.... Show

The beginning of their optimism began even before the Nazi s captured their cities. An example of
this would be from the book entitled Night . The main character s city (Jewish), heard that some of
the other Jewish cities in their country, had been captured by the Nazis. The citizens of the main
character s city thought that they would be safe, and that the Nazis would not invade their city.
They believed that God would save them, therefore, they did not take any action to protect them
from the Nazis and from having their city captured by them. If they would have taken preventative
measures, like escaping their city, they could have prevented being captured by the Nazi s. Jews
were blinded with so much optimism that they did nothing to protect themselves. They carried on
with the belief that they would not have their cities invaded, and that they would therefore remain
safe. While this is not the case with all Jews, this is the many

Conflict In Freaks And Geeks
Freaks and Geeks is a show about the conflict s and pressure s of growing up. In this series the
teens face a number of conflicts such as trying to fit in, parental control, and peer pressure. Lots
of teenagers including myself have faced some of these problems. Everyone deals with some
kind of conflict while growing up it just depends on how you decide to deal with it and make the
best of it. This allows me to tell you how I and other teens have faced and dealt with some of the
same problems that is shown on Freaks and Geeks.
The first conflict that they were faced with in Freaks and Geeks was trying to fit in. I use to try
to do things like a certain group of people such as wear the same clothes or shoes to try to fit in.
In the show, Lindsay tried to fit in by riding around with the Freaks on Halloween destroying

Similarly, advocates of direct payments in line with personal budgets argue that they can achieve a
wide range of policy objectives such as better outcomes for social care users (Poll et al. 2006),
greater empowerment of recipients, thereby conferring more dignity and personal responsibility
(Hatton et al. 2008). Those against have argued that the use of direct payments to encourage
personalisation of care, as well as encouraging service users to become more independent and
autonomous, is a government ploy to absolve itself of responsibility toward its citizens
(Woolham et al 2015). In Ferguson (2007) is also of the view that the personalisation agenda
represents not so much an extension of choice as a privatisation of risk due to the way it shifts
responsibility away from the state and on to individuals with social care needs and their unpaid
carers.
Despite the controversy around the topic, evidence from the literature show that the use of
personalisation, and personal health budgets had led to improved health outcomes for adults with
learning disabilities. In support, Jones et al (2013) in their randomised controlled trial observed that
direct payments were linked to a significant improvement in patients care related quality of life and

The Aftermath Of The 2008 Financial Crisis
In the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, Congress recognized the need to regulate nonbank
institutions. Many of the financially distressed institutions were not regulated by the same
standards bank holdings were. As a result The Financial Stability Oversight Committee was created
under Title I of the Dobb Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The committee
was signed into law by Barack Obamaon July 21, 2010 and serves three primary purposes. One is to
authorize and determine nonbank financial institutions that if under material financial distress or
failure, can threaten the financial stability of the United States. The designated institutions are
referred to as systematically important financial institutions (SIFIs) and are subject to the regulation
and supervision of the Federal Reserve System(Board of Governors). Another purpose of the
committee is to promote market discipline and eliminate the expectation of companies stakeholder
s relying on the U.S. government bailout as safeguard from failure or loss. Last but not least the
committee is also expected to recommend standards and safeguards for U.S. and global financial
systems. In the executive summary of the 2014/15 annual reports, the committee continues
focusing on three areas of financial risk: cyber security, foreign markets and the housing finance
reform.

Cancer Is A Disease Of The Cells
Cancer is a disease of the cells, Inside all cells are coded instructions for making new cells and
controlling how cells behave. These coded instructions are genes. Abnormal changes in genes
can turn normal ovarian cells to cancer cells. Normal cells grow and divided to make new cells.
New cells are made as the body needs them to replace injured or dying cells. When normal cells
grow old or get damaged, they die. Cancercells don t do that. The changes in genes causes cancer
cells to make too many copies of themselves (National comprehensive cancer network,2015).
Cancer cells make new cells that aren t needed and don t die quickly when old or damaged. Most
times cancer cells grow and divide enough to form a mass or tumour. The first tumour formed by
the overgrowth of cancer cell is known as the primary tumour.
Ovarian cancer is the most deadly type of gynecologic malignancy in the United States (Morgan et
al.,2013). While there are multiple histological subtypes of ovarian cancer, epithelial cell types are
the most common variant and therefore contribute greatly to the morbidity and mortality attributed
to ovarian malignancy (Quirk and Natarajan,2005 ). Serous epithelial tumors have the highest
incidence noted to constitute about 70% of tumors of epithelial origin, while other subtypes
comprise the remaining cases, most commonly mucinous, endometrioid, and clear cell (Irving et al.,
2006,McCluggage, 2011). Demo graphically, white women have the highest incidence of

Essay on Aboriginal People of Canada
Aboriginal People of Canada
Over the past decades, Aboriginal people (the original people or indigenous occupants of a
particular country), have been oppressed by the Canadian society and continue to live under racism
resulting in gender/ class oppression. The history of Colonialism, and Capitalism has played a
significant role in the construction and impact of how Aborignal people are treated and viewed
presently in the Canadian society. The struggles, injustices, prejudice, and discrimination that have
plagued Aboriginal peoples for more than three centuries are still grim realities today. The failures

The British were interested in the production and circulation of fur as a commodity in the world
market and were in need of labor. The Indians were the only available source of skilled labor, so
they became part of the production process.
From Colonialization, Capitalism came which resulted in the disintegration of communal and
egalitarian societies that the indigenous created, which in turn, became the exploited labor force in
the commodity production. European ethnocentrism and racism also affected patterns of Aboriginal
socialization. Since most whites viewed all aspects of indigenous life to be culturally and morally
inferior, missionaries made efforts to eliminate the egalitarianism customs of Aboriginal societies
and to promote the norms of the dominant European patriarchal society. The perceived differences
between men and women led to cultural genocide.
Capitalism is an economic and social system that focuses on pursuit of profit. It has also involved
the presence of exchange of goods for money or other goods, and the organization of production
and distribution of goods . One example of this is the Hudson s Bay fur trade. The fur trade of the
Hudson s Bay basin initially transformed the indigenous communal societies in order to exploit
Indian labor in the commodity production of fur (Bourgeault, 41). Capitalism uses market relations

follow the path that had been established by those who walked in front of me, my parents and my
brother. For many of years, blinded by this idea, I unknowingly had always been following the
footsteps of my brother who is two years older than me as the role model. Following the things he
did, trying to achieve the same things that he achieved, soon, I became a shadow that imitated his

Being able to attend the same competitive elementary school in Indonesia even though I was still

Roman Western Empire Research Paper
Background:
Issue:
Despite 500 years of complete domination over the Mediterranean and much of Europe, the Roman
Western Empire quickly collapsed in the 5th century C.E.
Research Question:
Why did the Roman Western Empire collapse?
Thesis:
Likely, the most convincing explanation is that the fall of the Roman Western Empire, was largely
determined by the Empire s economic instability after repeated invasions by Barbarian tribes.
Two Areas of Arguments:
First, the Empire s economy was weakened as the government was overexpanding and
overspending, which also led to the rise of the Eastern Empire.
Second and more importantly, the Barbarian invasions, which constantly put the Romans under
attack, caused much trouble and devastation to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Evidence Items:
There was a lot of overspending, to cover the costs of the army, weapons and defence.
The constant civil wars, rebellions, and attacks had required the constant increase of taxation on the
people of Rome, which made the citizens poorer. In addition, many rich citizens fled to avoid tax
collectors which in turn further weakened the economy by drawing wealth outside the empire.
The Western Roman Empire was so big (from the Atlantic Ocean to Middle East) that it was really
hard to govern it and communicate throughout. With the lack of communication, orders were not
able to reach the people/troops quite as quickly as hoped, which made it much harder for Rome to
defend itself.
The constant civil wars, rebellions, and attacks, all required much military spending by the
government, also links to the barbarian invasions as they caused many of the attacks.
Factor 2: Political power struggles led to civil wars, which affeted the trade, ultimately collapsing
the economy.
Evidence Items:
Since the economy was already suffering, many citizens began making their own goods instead of
trading, furthermore, the civil wars caused many merchants to lose their safe routes throughout the
empire. The civil wars accelerated the failure of

Samuel Beckett s Waiting For Godot
Samuel Beckett was born in Ireland on April 13, 1906. Waiting for Godot was composed between
1948 and 1949 in French. The premiere was on January 5 1953 in Paris. After World War II, he
wrote Waiting for Godot. In Samuel Beckett s play, Waiting for Godot, it is essential that the play is
characterized by time and hopelessness. That the purpose of life is unanswerable; there is no
apparent meaning to it. When first analyzing the play, there is an uncertainty if anything happens
within the play or the title character s significance because of the constant repetition without
achieving answers throughout the story. Waiting for Godotcaptures the feeling that a situation is
hopelessly unfathomable. The play characterizes hopelessness with forms that symbolize humanity
and its behavior with all the characters. It emphasizes that because a human s life is dependant on
chance and that time is meaningless, reassuring that a human s life is meaningless. The reality of
this makes humans ambiguous, looking for outside forces, which may or may not be imaginary, for
direction. Just as Vladimir and Estragoncling onto Godot, without knowing whether or not he or it
is real. On of the play s assumptions is that chance is the main factor behind a human s existence.
Again, leading that human life is determined by and only chance. Beckett beckons on the path of
religious symbolism. Hints of Christianity are influenced in this play throughout. In fact, opening
moments of the play, Vladimir

Consistency In Mexican Food
When it comes to a Mexican restaurant, a customer wants to be able to rely on the consistency of
the entire criteria. Consistency is important in any food chain and the criteria may vary from person
to person. Typically it involves the taste, appearance, wait time, atmosphere, cleanliness which
creates the ability to satisfy. It is human nature to automatically begin to judge every situation that
comes along. Therefore, doing well in these areas is important to have a high success rate in the
food business. Walking into a Mexican restaurant with the expectation of what Mexican means, and
having the expectations met.
First piece to breaking down the criteria of satisfying mexican food is the taste of their food,
appetizing food is one of the biggest key points. Since that is the whole point of a restaurant is

keeps people coming back for more. When people enjoy a specific dish, they want to come back
and have the expectations of that exact dish each time. Not having the same dish they order

restaurant to have. Mexican food has a wonderful layered flavor in their food. Which means each
step done correctly is what developing that flavor that keeps people wanting more. Having

The use of animals in lab work is a controversial practice that is met with strong opposition from
various animal welfare groups and just people in general. The argument of whether it is ethical or
morally right to continue this practice has been going on for a long time and it seems we are now
at a place where alternatives to animal testing are available. Scientists have been able to reconstruct
testing methods that don t revolve around the use of animals. Such alternatives that are currently
being looked into, or have already begun being implemented, include in vitro cell cultures,
organoids, organs on chips, human on a chip, noninvasive imaging, and microdosing. These
methods would all allow for the reduction of animal use in laboratories or the flat out replacement

them in an artificial environment. This artificial environment would provide many of the necessary
components for normal cell function such as nutrients and growth factors. Another benefit to this

Essay on Technology Opportunities in Transportation
The purpose of this paper is to illustrate three technology opportunities associated with the
transportation and logistics industry. With today s constantly evolving business environment,
consumers are placing demand on businesses of all industries, and they want products and services
faster, with more added value, and delivered immediately. Nevertheless, customers are smarter by
requiring more quality, innovation, and choice, and at the same time wanting to spend less money
and effort. Consequently, every transportation business has to remain highly competitive in
researching and developing innovative cost cutting techniques in order to save money.

These trucks compete for roughly 300,000 parking spots located throughout the country. While
parked, especially in locations of extreme hot or cold, these trucks are typically found idling while
the driver is resting. In addition to being a home away from home for the truck drivers, they idle for
a variety of reasons. These include keeping the fuel and engine warm, for the driver s resting
comfort, to mask out other noises, and for safety (Keller). Unfortunately, while they are idling,
the engine is consuming diesel fuel at a time when oil prices are at their highest. It has been
calculated that every hour a truck idles unnecessarily is equivalent to 8 10 miles of on road
driving (Keller). Although it is necessary for the drivers to idle, it has been a major concern in
terms of wasted fuel within the trucking industry, costing them 3 billion gallons of fuel every year.
Several different technologies have been introduced to combat the wasted fuel and reduce or
eliminate truck idling times. One such advancement is an electrified parking space (EPS) for
the drivers. The electrified parking space allows the driver a parking spot (for rest, sleep, etc.) and
an oversized power cord that allows the truck to plug into electric grids to power their cabins. This
enables a clean energy source from the power grid, and reduces the driver s need to

Belle s Famous Ribs
Grilling has always been a favorite pastime in most American families. Although some people
choose to cook hamburgers and hot dogs, others prefer to grill ribs. Grilling ribs can be more
complicated than cooking the average hamburger or hot dog; if it is done wrong, the ribs can
become so tough that they are inedible. Thankfully, there are recipes like Belle s Famous Ribs to
help BBQ novices make perfect ribs.. This recipe is an easy recipe that can be mastered by any
level cook when they follow three easy steps: gathering ingredients; preparing and using the dry
rub; and cookingand grilling the ribs. The first thing to do before starting this recipe is to find and

Benefits Of Free Agency Essay
We are less than 90 days Away from hockey and that famous puck drop but what will we do to
pass the time as we nervously await the chance at a season where at the end we get to raise the
famous cup. Well for me free agency is a big part of how I pass the time so without a further to
do here are my first impressions about free agency and why you should be excited for the home
opener in the Consol Energy Center come October. Free agency has been a whiz of rumors and
big moves. Cap stricken the penguins have not been able to spend like they have in previous
summers but that certainly did not stop Jim Rutherford from making a splash this offseason
pulling off one of the bigger trades in recent memory. Yes, Jim moved James Neal to the predators
for Patric hornqvist and Nick Spaling and not saying anything bad about them but this is Phil
Kessel. One of the top 5 scorers in the league and has not missed... Show more content on

In return, Pittsburgh acquired TylerBiggs a big bodied winger prospect along with Phil Kessel
along with D man Tim Erixon along with the draft pick we traded to the leafs for David Winnik
last march. Along with this block buster deal Rutherford has been using whatever cap room we
had left to flesh out the rest of this year s roster. My favorite and most exciting piece to this year
s roster has to be Sergei Plotnikov a big bodied Russian winger who lit it up in the KHL. I love
his eagerness and wanting to join the penguins as he paid 500,000 dollars to buy out his KHL
contract to join us stateside. Him playing on a line with Geno like he did at the Olympics along
with whatever winger they stick on the right side will be money all day long. Rutherford also did

According to Global Workplace Analytics, 2.5% of the United States workforce work from home at
least half the time and 80% to 90% of the US workforce would like to telework at least part time
(Global, 2015). They believe that two to three days a week seem to be a good balance of
concentrative work at home and collaborative work at their offices.
After interviewing eight employees from different departments at Sunrise Company, I learned that
90% of their daily tasks involved the use of technology. This includes email, software/programs, and
the Internet (Sunrise). This includes using the internet, e mail, software programs, etc. Clearly, this

Aeromedical Evacuations In The Korean War
In every war or conflict, both sides of the engagement experience causalities. One of the basic
skills of any Soldier is to render aid to their injured battle buddies and to never leave a fallen
comrade. Even with the medical equipment Soldiers or medics carry with them sometimes the aid
they can render is not suitable for the types of injures the casualty has sustained. The Army needed
a way to quickly get their wounded from the battlefield or field treatment facility to an established
medical treatment facility so that they can receive treatment more appropriate for their injuries.
Thus enters the medical evacuation, more specifically aeromedical evacuation. The feasibility and

In the early 1990s, the Army created a new specification for a dedicated MEDEVAC helicopter
to be designed around the updated UH 60L airframe. It was designated as the UH 60Q

(Leoni, 2011). It was equipped with new medical equipment including an oxygen generating
system, a cardiac monitoring system, a powered litter lift system and outlets for AC electrical
power and night vision compatible lighting. The new litter system could accommodate six
patients and provided convenient access for medical personnel to treat injuries. It was also
equipped with Forward Looking Infra Red (FLIR) system that allowed the crew to identify
casualties by body heat or in inclement weather. These upgraded systems lead to quicker
evacuations while improving life saving measures for wounded personnel. Aviation Medical
Evacuation operations have evolved significantly from its inception. From single pilot operated
aircraft with litters outside the helicopter installed on landing gear to complete hospital helicopters

The Five Precepts in the Context of The Eightfold Path Essay
The Five Precepts in the Context of The Eightfold Path Both The Five Precepts and The Eightfold
Path are significant elements of the Buddhist religion. The precepts act as a guide for the average
everyday lay Buddhist on how to create the least amount of karmic energy possible. It by no
means is the way directly to reaching Nirvana. The Eightfold Path however, is known as the way. It
is, in itself, the Fourth Noble Truth, and the path to enlightenment. In this examination of the Five
Precepts I will endeavour to relate them in context to the different aspects of the Eightfold Path.

Bison Offense
Last night in Dayton, at Welcome stadium the Belmont Bison hosted the Bulldogs from Woodward
high school, out of Cincinnati. Belmont has shown a very high octane running offense at times this
season, while the Bulldogs has been up and down not only only offense but defense as well.
Things got start with a bang, when Dawson Martin took off for a sixteen yard run, showing speed
and nice field vision. Martin would close out the drive on a 2 yard run to make this a,6 0 game. A
two point conversion run by,Elijah Malcolm made the score,8 0, with 9:05 left in the quarter.

Martin converted the conversion run to make this a,32 6 game. The other play on the drive came on
a seventy four yard run by Dorrick Conner.
In watching this much of the game the one question that popped in my head was,how did Liberty
Union shut out this Belmont team/ I have seen Liberty Union earlier this season in their blowout
win over the Tigers, from Columbus East.
Woodward had to know this game was all but over at the 5:38 mark of the 2nd quarter, so they
decided to go for it on fourth down, needing fourteen yards for the first down, deep in their own
territory. The decision went from bad to worse when Reliford was called for intentional grounding,
giving the ball to Belmont at the Bulldogs nine yard line.
The Bison scored on their next play, when quarterback Justin Young ran in the end zone. Another
two point conversion run was successful, this time by Malcom to make this a,40 6 game.
Belmont s offense was back at work at the 3:37 mark of the quarter with Young running for
eighteen yards. Young would be sacked on the drive by #17(not on either roster I have)for a
short loss at the 1:36 mark of the quarter. The drive ended on a 39 yard pass from Young to a
wide opened Ja don Rucker furlow with :52 showing on the clock. This time it would be Dorrick

Informative Speech On Vaping
Imagine you are laying in a hospital bed. You wake up, the first thing you see is your doctor and
you hear him say, I m sorry, you have lung cancer. This is a situation that far too many people
have had to go through; especially those who smoke. According to the World Health Organization,
tobacco kills around 6 million people a year. This is alarming and certainly unacceptable,
especially when there is an effective, safer alternative. This alternative is called vaping .
Most people are very skeptical about the term. It is very easy to make assumptions about things
that you are not knowledgeable about. Also, when it comes to such a broad and controversial term,
it is even more so tempting to make these assumptions. Today I am here to bring you information. I
will inform you about what vaping really is, how it works, and some interesting statistics as well.
The basic definition of vaping is to inhale and exhale the vapor produced by an electronic cigarette
or similar device (Dictionary). If you have never heard of the term or have simply not researched
it, you may have quite a few questions. Questions such as, What is vapor? , What is an electronic
cigarette and how do they work? , and Are they dangerous? . These are frequently asked questions
dealing with the topic of vaping in general. I am here today to provide you with current and
accurate answers to these questions.

Animals for Testing
Imagine a poor, tiny mouse sitting in a cage. It is crouching down in the corner, quivering in fear.
It has been injected with medications in the process of being approved for human use. It is slowly
and painfully dying. We use animals for testing new products, like medications and beauty products
that we end up using. Why should animals be put through such painand agony for something we
need? We are selfish and think we are the superior species, so we use animals instead of us. In
my opinion, animals should not be used for testing and researching new products. Each year,
more than 100 million animals are killed during testing. Some of those animals end up dying
before the experiment is even over. Others may survive through the experiment but end up dying
shortly after. Most of the testing is a waste of time anyway. According to the Food and Drug
Association (FDA), 92 out of 100 drug tests that are passed on animals end up failing in humans.
If 92% of drug tests fail, what s the use in testing on animals? It is misleading, and we end up
wasting money and time. It only prolongs the sufferingof people waiting for a cure. We rely too
heavily on animals for testing, that if they drug fails, we won t even give it a chance in humans.
The drug could end up proving to be extremely helpful to humans. One example of this is the drug
Lipitor. It failed during animal testingbut was later proved to be effective in humans. If we would
test medications in humans first, we wouldn t have

  • 2. Symbolism In Stephen King s Movie It Due to how interested I am with this captivating film, I once again decided to research a review on the movie IT directed by Andy Muschiettie. Specifically looking for an article discussing symbolism I stumbled upon Stephen King s It is the rare monster movie with too much monster written by Tahsa Robinson. Collectively, the passage discusses many elements of symbols in the film, but ultimately leads back to how the title monster makes appearance too often (Robinson). However, I disagree with this statement because the creature is presented to remind the audience that It is always there; terrorizing its prey before consumption as one would season a piece of meat before a meal. This directing style of presenting the monster in the beginning and often throughout is different from that of other movie that keep the monster hidden to build suspense and fear. Having It on screen in multiple scenes allows terror to build for the victims or, in the case of the film, for the victims to develop bravery in the face of fear. I do agree with the author s analysis on the aspects of the film and the symbols presented to the audience. In particular, I whole heartedly agree with what she states about one of the adolescent characters:... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Her bloody encounter with Pennywise closely recalls images in two other famous King screen adaptations, Stanley Kubrick sThe Shining and Brian De Palma s Carrie. • 3. Tutorial 4 Notes Essay Business in Asia Tutorial Program Semester 2, 2014 Guide Notes Tutorial 4: Japan: Changing business environment growth, stagnation and Abenomics 1. Outline very briefly the main factors that led to the bubble economy of the 1980s and its crash? The appreciation of the Yen following the Plaza Accords under US pressure and the policy responses. п‚· Japanese industries lost international competitiveness and the economy slowed. The government loosened monetary policies to counteract this and stimulate the economy. п‚· The supply of money expanded, this money was invested in domestic assets (real estate and stock market) whose prices went up; as their prices went up people invested more funds, prices went up even more, then people invested... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (b) Japanese investors do not see any better investment options. In theory they could invest in foreign markets. But in practice there has been strong home bias in investment, and many large pension funds etc have been managed by bureaucrats who have been very conservative. International conditions have been very volatile and Japanese yen has been seen as a safe haven currency because Japan as a country is not an indebted country, say like the US. So, the currency has tended to be quite strong, often appreciating; this reduced the attraction of investing abroad. 4. Why is the Japanese government in debt, but Japan is a net saver? Recall national income accounts. National savings are not the same as government savings. National savings = private sector (households + corporates) savings + government savings. Household and corporate savings have been, until very recently, consistently higher than government borrowings, though household savings have been coming down in line with demographic trends (aging population). Corporations (firms) have overall some have invested in foreign countries through FDI felt that investment options in Japan are poor, so they have been saving rather than investing. 5. • 4. The Effects Of Drought And Its Effects On The Environment Since we moved into the 21st century, the condition of global environment is one of the most popular topics, and it created many controversies. Those topics are wide ranged, from the natural disasters like earthquake, tornado or volcano eruption; to the man made disasters like nuclear war or air / water / sound pollutions. As a student, I too am interested and have some concerns for the planet that we are living in. Among the disasters, droughtis the one that I want to learn more about it. So what is drought? Drought is described as a period of time when the water supply is decreasing, and the length of the drought might occur in months or even years (basicplant). It occurs in virtually all climatic zones and its characteristics may be different in certain regions. According to The Ojos Negros Research Group, the characteristics of the drought are scarcity of water, low precipitation, and mostly occurred in dry season . Other climatic factors like high wind /temperature and low relative humidity (The Ojos Negros Research Group) are usually related with the drought. Drought can be put into four categories based on the regions, needs, and disciplinary approaches. The first type of drought is called Meteorological drought; it is defined on the basis degree of dryness [compare to a normal/average amount], and the duration of the dry period (National Drought Mitigation Center). Agricultural drought is the second type and it is similar to the Meteorological drought, but ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Learning From The Unit On Division Essay VI: Learning from Practice The Reflection Conclusions and Instructional Decision Making When reviewing the data collected from the unit on division, it is clear that there was positive student growth. Through the various forms of assessment during this unit, each was able to assess students on their level of achievement toward reaching each of the three SLOs. Students were given a pre assessment, as well as at least one formative assessment for each SLO, as well as a summative post assessment. Based on the data collected from the pre assessment, the class average was a score of 43%. By the end of the unit, after about a three week period, the class average on the final summative assessment was 78%. This shows a growth in the scores for the class as a whole, as a positive 35%. This type of growth is phenomenal for this unit, as the concept of the division can be extremely abstract. When assessing students throughout this unit, their performance and level of understanding of each SLO had a major effect on the scheduling and rigor of each lesson and skill. Students were each place into one of four tiered groups based on their behaviors as well as their performance. Each group of students is typically on the same level, therefore, progressing at a similar pace. As an inclusion classroom with ten students having IEPs, there is a large range of ability levels. Therefore, the delivery of instruction and forms of assessment for each tiered group was modified to meet the needs of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, there are specific details that these shows usually skip because there boring, but these proceedings tend to be complicated. There are three branches of government that include: legislative, executive and the judicial branches. The Judicial Branch is the sector of government that presides over criminal cases and interprets the law. Within the system there are various courts a person can be tried such as: Criminal Court, Family Court, Civil Court and Supreme Court. Thus, family court takes precautions with cases concerning the youth. Once the child turns eighteen their criminal record is sealed as opposed to when an adult commits a crime (Reuters 1). The supreme court case of Schall v. Martin established the policy known as prevention detention, which would safeguard juveniles from future violence (Fagan 419). When a person is tried in family court there are different regulations the defendant must follow. As opposed to criminal court the main objection in Family Court is to rehabilitate the youth (Emery 500). Many of the legal cases presented in Family Court, often motivated by the principle of maintaining the best interest of the child. First I will describe the sacred spaces and their artistic features, values and importance. Afterwards, will come the analysis comparing the two in architectural design and decisions, rather than the difference of religious belief or purpose. First, let s talk about Ise Jingu situated in Japan. It is the largest Shinto shrine located in the city of Ise. Millions of people make their pilgrimage to this shrine for either tourism or religious purposes. It holds a lot of both spiritual and historical value of Japan. Spiritually as the shrine was made in light of the Sun Goddess AmaterasuOmikami, and the traditional progenitor of the imperial Japanese family, later another God Toyaku Okami being another sacred being, being worshipped. In most societies throughout World History, a small, rich ruling class has dominated the social and political aspects of society. The large majority of the population has always been in the lower classes of society, and controlling these classes through fear, brute force, economic oppression or appeasement is instrumental to maintain order. Failing to maintain control often leads revolts, social upheavals or violent class struggles. While in most societies the upper classes attempted to control lower classes, some were not successful. After doing research and analyzing This I Believe narratives, the one that stood out to me the most was the personal narrative, Always Go to the Funeral by Deirdre Sullivan. Sullivan s use of rhetorical devices such as, anecdote, diction, and pathos, make the article an effective essaythat students can analyze and use as an example to follow. Sullivan s essay includes many rhetorical devices; the first one that stands out is the anecdote device because of the experience that she went through. She uses her personal life as a short story to catch the reader s attention. This is an example of a great device that can be used for all essays, because every paper needs a hook that will keep the reader interested from the moment they start reading. Weekly Writing 3 Throughout history, American society has famously taken advantage of non European cultures and traditions for their own entertainment. Major media companies, colleges, and athletic organizations have famously exploited the cultures and stereotypes of Native American s and African Americans for the sole purpose of profit and increased entertainment value. In American society, there has been the era of Blaxploitation films in which African Americans society was shown through raunchy and low budget films. Sports teams, colleges, and public schools have turned Native Americans into an irresponsible excuse of a mascot the can offend and can be considered disrespectful by those in their society while being called an honor by those who use it. In some cases though, it can be seen that when members of the respective societies that are being depicted within the media are allowed to have some creative decision with it, that some real issues can be addressed and shown to an audience that otherwise would have never thought about it. This was popularly down through Dave Chappelle s, Chappelle s Show, and through rap music. If your car is more than a few years old, your freedom is even greater to enjoy the competition, especially if you live in an area where several car centers are present and they fight to provide the best promotional deals. Remember, some centers, based on these same principles, may specialize in replacing windshields and broken headlights. On the other hand, beyond the warranty period, and provided you meet the mandatory maintenance, you can choose who you want for maintenance service, and for changes to tires or brakes. For example, you may wonder, What are the operations that come under the mandatory maintenance? , Where should I have my car serviced? , Are spare parts the same quality everywhere? and Are auto centers always cheaper than dealers and independent garages? Remember, Kia lets each dealer display the prices they want to provide. A brief description of what middle childhood is, The school years are marked by improved athletic abilities; more logical thought processes; mastery of basic literacy skills; advances in self understanding, morality, and friendship; and the beginnings of peer group membership (Berk, 2017, p. 6). I find this age group relevant to my future because I want to pursue a career in elementary school teaching or counseling. Every Sunday at my church I work in the elementary age kids group. There are three major features that I would say middle childhood contains. The three features are physical, cognitive, and social. Physical is based on body growth and nutrition. Cognitive deals with how students excel in different ways at school. Social means how students interact with schoolmates and how they respond. They all are different aspects of a child, but they connect with different places in their lives. Physical growth, during this age period, continues at a slow pace like it did in early childhood, but now health issues can start to occur. Nutrition is a key concept in a school age child s life. Today, 32 percent of U.S. children and adolescents are overweight. (Berk, 2017, p. 228). This is an eye opener that something needs to change in children s nutrition at home and at school. The cognitive features of a child through middle childhood is just as important. Piaget s cognitive developmental theory is described as, Development occurs as the brain grows and children exercise their innate drive to discover reality in a generally stimulating environment. (Berk, 2017, p. 22). This theory helps people look at individual differences. There are four different sections that are looked at when dealing with cognitive development, those are conservation, classification, seriation, and spatial reasoning. These four things separate children by their strengths. During middle childhood, social understanding, to me, is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If they started drinking at the age of fifteen there is a six percent chance that they will depend on alcoholwhen they get older. There are so many different problems with teen drinking that I can talk about. The big one I want to talk about is when teens drive when drinking. Ways to try and stop teen drinking is maybe by bring back Dare or have SADD in schools again. The CDC reports that about ten percent of teens in 2013 have drove after drinking alcohol. They even reported that twenty two percent have ridden with a driver who had been drinking alcohol. Having shown these stats will make this even more probable that car crashes are the leading cause of death for teens, and about a quarter of those crashes involve an underage teen that was drinking and driving. Any teen that gets in a car after drinking puts more than just their self at risk of getting injured or even worse dying. As a teenager myself, I know how hard it is to say no to someone that has been drinking when they want to drive. I have been in the spot more then once. • 31. Cancer Is A Disease Of The Cells Cancer is a disease of the cells, Inside all cells are coded instructions for making new cells and controlling how cells behave. These coded instructions are genes. Abnormal changes in genes can turn normal ovarian cells to cancer cells. Normal cells grow and divided to make new cells. New cells are made as the body needs them to replace injured or dying cells. When normal cells grow old or get damaged, they die. Cancercells don t do that. The changes in genes causes cancer cells to make too many copies of themselves (National comprehensive cancer network,2015). Cancer cells make new cells that aren t needed and don t die quickly when old or damaged. Most times cancer cells grow and divide enough to form a mass or tumour. The first tumour formed by the overgrowth of cancer cell is known as the primary tumour. Ovarian cancer is the most deadly type of gynecologic malignancy in the United States (Morgan et al.,2013). While there are multiple histological subtypes of ovarian cancer, epithelial cell types are the most common variant and therefore contribute greatly to the morbidity and mortality attributed to ovarian malignancy (Quirk and Natarajan,2005 ). Serous epithelial tumors have the highest incidence noted to constitute about 70% of tumors of epithelial origin, while other subtypes comprise the remaining cases, most commonly mucinous, endometrioid, and clear cell (Irving et al., 2006,McCluggage, 2011). Research Question: Why did the Roman Western Empire collapse? Thesis: Likely, the most convincing explanation is that the fall of the Roman Western Empire, was largely determined by the Empire s economic instability after repeated invasions by Barbarian tribes. Two Areas of Arguments: First, the Empire s economy was weakened as the government was overexpanding and overspending, which also led to the rise of the Eastern Empire. The constant civil wars, rebellions, and attacks had required the constant increase of taxation on the people of Rome, which made the citizens poorer. The Western Roman Empire was so big (from the Atlantic Ocean to Middle East) that it was really hard to govern it and communicate throughout. With the lack of communication, orders were not able to reach the people/troops quite as quickly as hoped, which made it much harder for Rome to defend itself. The constant civil wars, rebellions, and attacks, all required much military spending by the government, also links to the barbarian invasions as they caused many of the attacks. • 37. Samuel Beckett s Waiting For Godot Samuel Beckett was born in Ireland on April 13, 1906. Waiting for Godot was composed between 1948 and 1949 in French. The premiere was on January 5 1953 in Paris. After World War II, he wrote Waiting for Godot. In Samuel Beckett s play, Waiting for Godot, it is essential that the play is characterized by time and hopelessness. That the purpose of life is unanswerable; there is no apparent meaning to it. When first analyzing the play, there is an uncertainty if anything happens within the play or the title character s significance because of the constant repetition without achieving answers throughout the story. Waiting for Godotcaptures the feeling that a situation is hopelessly unfathomable. The play characterizes hopelessness with forms that symbolize humanity and its behavior with all the characters. It emphasizes that because a human s life is dependant on chance and that time is meaningless, reassuring that a human s life is meaningless. The reality of this makes humans ambiguous, looking for outside forces, which may or may not be imaginary, for direction. We are selfish and think we are the superior species, so we use animals instead of us. In my opinion, animals should not be used for testing and researching new products. Each year, more than 100 million animals are killed during testing. Some of those animals end up dying before the experiment is even over. Others may survive through the experiment but end up dying shortly after. Most of the testing is a waste of time anyway.
