The Corona virus pandemic has so much taken the center stage in the media that people do not remember the name of Jesus. They have forgotten the power in his name: to save, to heal, to deliver, to mend, to create and raise the dead. His name is ABOVE all names. Apply his name to that situation TODAY. He is at the CENTER of all these to give us VICTORY. This sermon was delivered to a live audience on ZOOM.To join the Church from any where in the world send a request to the host: pejuoti2017@gmail.com or call +234 805 612 9314. 1. Jesus was invited to dinner at a house where some guests were considered sinners by others in the town.
2. Two men watched the guests arriving and made disparaging comments about some of the guests.
3. Jesus told a parable about a shepherd who left the ninety-nine sheep to go find the one lost sheep, showing that he cares for those who have wandered away from God and want to help bring them back.
This document discusses key aspects of Jesus' mission and message as portrayed in the Gospel of Mark. [1] Jesus came primarily to preach the gospel and the coming of God's kingdom. [2] His message called for repentance and belief in the "gospel" or good news of salvation. [3] He saw himself as a sinner-seeker who came to save the lost, which dismayed the self-righteous but showed his compassion for those in need.
This document provides an overview and analysis of Matthew 13:31-32, the parable of the mustard seed. It discusses how the kingdom of God, represented by the mustard seed, starts small but grows large, being steered by God's hand slowly and surely over time until it shelters all people. It compares the kingdom's growth to the growth of God's people from an insignificant persecuted group to eventually encompassing the whole world. The document also examines what it means to have faith like a mustard seed and be guided by God's hand through the growth process.
This document outlines Jesus' strategy of using parables to teach spiritual truths. It explains that parables were used for those who were not open to understanding deeper truths. Jesus focused on investing in his disciples who were receptive. The document emphasizes that Christ invests more in those who are invested in him, and encourages readers to examine where they are investing their hearts - in the world or in Christ.
We were created to become children of God, joint-heirs of Jesus who will rule and reign with Him in heaven. Salvation through Jesus is all of that! Get to know Jesus! Glory God no with your lives and prepare yourselves to rule with Jesus forever in heaven!! Don't waste your life just living for earthly things. The document is a sermon about how Jesus came to seek and save the lost. It discusses how man sinned and deviated from God's purpose, but God gave a second chance by sending Jesus Christ. It talks about the days of Isaiah, how people considered God's things as rituals without heart. It concludes by urging people to avail themselves for God's use, confess sins, acknowledge God, and never perform rituals without passion, as Jesus will soon return with rewards.

Sermon by Brian Birdow
Jesus describes himself as the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep. In contrast, a hired hand will flee when the sheep are threatened by a wolf. As the Good Shepherd, Jesus knows and cares for his sheep intimately. He promises to bring other sheep into his flock from other folds, like the Gentiles. His death and resurrection demonstrate his commitment to the sheep. The passage leads to another division among the Jews about Jesus' identity and message.
The parable of the talents tells the story of a master who gives his servants different amounts of talents or opportunities based on their abilities. The servant given five talents and two talents invest their talents and earn more. However, the servant given one talent buries it in the ground out of fear. When the master returns, he praises the first two servants but punishes the third for not making use of the opportunity given to him. The document encourages readers not to be afraid of limited opportunities but to have faith in God and make the most of what they've been given.

The document discusses the significance of names, beginning with examples from Chinese culture where names often reference qualities like wisdom, beauty, or gold. It then discusses names in an organizational context, providing examples like Every Nation, World Vision, and Greenpeace. Biblical names are also examined, such as Abraham meaning "Father of Many" and Jacob meaning "The Deceiver." The main point is that a name captures and communicates the qualities of a person or entity. The document focuses on the name "Emmanuel," explaining its meaning of "God with us" and how this reflects God's consistent desire throughout the Old and New Testaments to be with humanity.
This document discusses the importance of building a multicultural church according to biblical principles. It references Jesus praying for unity among believers and the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations. The early church in Antioch is presented as a positive example of a multicultural congregation with diverse leadership. Considerations for evangelism in a multicultural context include overcoming roadblocks through prayer, preparation and patience while having a visionary leadership and achievable goals. The ultimate goal is for all people to worship together as one as described in Revelation 7:9.
The document discusses biblical passages about failures of leadership and the consequences. It describes how Samuel's sons did not follow his ways as judges and the people asked for a king. Saul was chosen but later died for his unfaithfulness. Rehoboam did not listen to the people's requests and increased their burdens. The document asks questions about whether failures are worse for Christian leaders and discusses examples of poor leadership throughout history in the Catholic church. It closes with a prayer.
The document discusses prophecies from Isaiah about the Messiah. It examines Isaiah 9:6 which prophesies that the Messiah will have the names "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." It then analyzes what these names mean, focusing on Jesus as a Wonderful Counselor who sympathizes with our weaknesses and calls us to draw near to him, and as a Mighty God who is at work in us, for us, and through us.
Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week. On this day, Jesus enters Jerusalem riding a donkey to cheers from the crowds, who wave palm branches and hail him as the Messiah. His triumphant entrance is followed by teachings and events that will lead to his crucifixion later that week, including the Last Supper on Holy Thursday and his betrayal by Judas.

Jesus Christ is our great high priest who intercedes for us before God. As high priest, he holds a superior position to the priests under the Mosaic law since he is sinless and sits at the right hand of God in heaven. Through his sacrifice, Jesus has the power to save all who come to God by him and pardon their sins. He alone can bring eternal life, having paid the price for sin that we could not pay. Believers are called to be priests today through Christ and properly understand his role as our mediator and advocate before God.
Jesus just did not throw his disciples out into the world without any training and expect them to fair well! If we are going to be effective at evangelism we must be prepared. Both audio and slides can be enjoyed together at www.cmcoc.org Sermon by: Brian Birdow
The document discusses how early Christians cared for the poor and vulnerable through acts of service, sharing resources, and seeing all people as neighbors and family. It provides examples from the Bible of Jesus teaching about caring for "the least of these" and stories where not helping others in need can lead to spiritual consequences. The interpretation is that truly following Jesus means embracing and helping all people in need, regardless of differences, as part of participating in God's kingdom.
Why did Jesus clear the temple (twice)? Some do not respect God, even though they worship (?) Him. The hypocrisy of those who would make the church a "place of business"
Jesus healed many sick people by laying his hands on each of them as crowds brought their sick to him at sunset. Additionally, many people who were possessed by demons were freed when the demons shouted that Jesus was the Son of God, though Jesus silenced the demons from speaking further.
This document discusses the importance of planning according to God's will and guidance from Scripture. It provides examples of both good and bad planning from the Bible, highlighting the need to seek God's leading and avoid presumption. Paul's willingness to submit his plans to God's will is presented as the ideal approach to planning. The document cautions against boasting, omission, and leaving God out of one's plans.
The number of the disciples was multipliedslaustin
The number of disciples was multiplied after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Several key events occurred:
1) Thousands were baptized after Peter's message on Pentecost, growing the early Church.
2) There was a complaint from Hellenistic Jews against the Hebrews about the distribution of aid, leading seven men to be ordained to oversee the Church's temporal work.
3) Philip preached in Samaria and baptized the Ethiopian eunuch, showing the gospel was preached to all people.
The early Church experienced rapid growth through conversion and missionary work after Jesus' resurrection.
The document discusses the anointing of kings in the Old Testament. It describes how Saul, David, and Solomon were each anointed by Samuel or priests to become king. Absalom also had himself anointed during his rebellion against David. The document notes that anointing was the ordinary procedure to make someone king, usually done by a priest or prophet. It then discusses the different types of anointings for believers today - the leper's anointing of salvation, the priestly anointing for ministry, and the kingly anointing of authority over darkness. The leper's anointing comes by faith, the priestly by fellowship, and the kingly by obedience to Jesus.
1) The document discusses evangelism and encourages each person to reach one other person with the message of Jesus. It references a song about each person proclaiming the gospel in their neighborhood.
2) It defines evangelism as sharing the unchanging message of the gospel with people everywhere through personal conversations and interactions.
3) The document provides reasons to evangelize such as the Great Commission and that it is God's will for all to be saved, and discusses strategies for evangelizing including starting with those closest to you and explaining the Bible simply.

Asking questions and listening to customers is key to better selling. Salespeople should ask permission to ask questions, then ask person-centered questions about hobbies and interests to discover their primary buying motive. Product or problem-centered questions help understand how a product could help or what is holding them back from a decision. Ultimately, salespeople should ask how customers will benefit in the short and long run from a product to identify their dominant buying motive.

It then shares several passages from the Bible, including a story from the book of John about Jesus healing a man at the pool of Bethesda who had been ill for 38 years. The document closes with reflections on wealth and generosity, encouraging readers to adopt a "basket mindset" of giving rather than a "bag mindset" of always taking.
The document discusses how Jesus taught using stories, proverbs, questions, and promises of reward. The document advocates teaching as Jesus did, using relatable stories, memorable proverbs, engaging questions that lead to discussion, and motivation through promises of reward for faithfulness.
This document provides commentary on Philippians 4:7 from various sources. It discusses how prayer can transform our anxiety into peace, even when circumstances have not changed. God's peace acts like a military guard to protect believers. The Israelites grumbled against Moses in the desert, complaining that they had no food or water. God provided manna from heaven for them to eat each morning. When the people traveled to Rephidim, there was no water. They quarreled with Moses. God instructed Moses to strike a rock, and water came out for the people to drink. Moses appointed leaders to help manage the people at the suggestion of his father-in-law.

Greg Koukl questions what it means to be human and discusses the implications of different views. The document summarizes Koukl's argument that if we are just "highly evolved pond scum" without purpose, there is no basis for morality. It then analyzes what the Bible says about humanity's status and role, finding that we are made in God's image and crowned with glory and dominion over creation.
God created mankind to have a loving relationship with them. However, Satan caused humanity to fall into sin and lose this relationship. God's plan was to restore it through Jesus, but traditional theology holds that only a small percentage of people will be saved. The document argues this cannot be correct, as it would mean God failed to achieve his purpose. It presents evidence from the Bible that God's will is to save all people and bring them to repentance. This is consistent with his eternal, unconditional love and desire for relationship with his creation.
This document provides a summary of Matthew 16:13-20. It discusses Jesus asking the disciples who they say he is. Peter correctly answers that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus tells Peter that flesh and blood did not reveal this to him. Jesus says Peter's name means "rock" and that he will build his church on this rock, which is referring to Jesus himself, not Peter. The document also discusses the "keys of the kingdom" being given to the disciples and church, representing the authority to invite people into the kingdom of heaven.
The document discusses becoming more spiritually minded. It says our purpose is to combat evil forces and be like Christ. We are responsible to God and should obey Him over anyone else. We must learn to respond properly without anger. If we understand our purpose and responsibilities, and properly react, we will become more spiritual as intended. In the end, it asks if we are growing closer to God or losing passion for our faith.
This document is a collection of passages from the Bible and reflections on the uniqueness and preciousness of human life as created by God. It discusses how God created all things and how Jesus, as the Word of God, came to dwell among humanity. It emphasizes that every person is unique, made in God's image, and should not consider themselves unimportant. It encourages appreciating the gift of eternal life through Jesus and being involved in God's work of saving souls.

The article discusses finding spiritual riches in God's kingdom. It summarizes John D. Rockefeller's three rules for becoming rich, though finding oil will not make most people rich. True riches are found in God's grace, mercy, love, salvation and forgiveness available through His kingdom, the church. The church is compared to a treasure and a pearl of great price that Christians should seek to possess.

It also analyzes the miracle of Jesus feeding thousands from just a few loaves and fish, emphasizing that God provides abundantly through Christ and uses ordinary people and means to accomplish extraordinary things.
The document is a sermon about Jesus' parables of the hidden treasure and the fine pearl. It discusses how the kingdom of heaven is like finding a valuable treasure or pearl and being willing to sacrifice everything to obtain it. It encourages believers to seek wisdom, understanding, and a closer relationship with God above all earthly treasures, which are fleeting. It also addresses how worry arises when our treasures, vision, and master are not properly prioritized on spiritual over material things.

It outlines three main benefits: 1) Worship gives encouragement as Christians support and stimulate one another, 2) Worship gives enjoyment, as gathering with others is a privilege and blessing, not a burden, 3) Worship gives endurance, as enduring in the Christian faith requires drawing near to God with others and looking to Jesus as an example of enduring. The local church is where Christians can find these benefits of encouragement, enjoyment, and endurance to help them in their faith.
Rom 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
The document discusses the Beatitude of "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness." It explains that this refers to having a strong desire and appetite for righteousness that is needed to sustain one's spiritual life. Specifically:
1) One must have a "proper appetite" for righteousness and God's word, rather than worldly things.
2) One must have the "proper attitude" of prioritizing obedience to God over men, as exemplified by Joseph and early Christians.
3) One must have the "proper acquaintances" by avoiding friendship with the world and being separate from unrighteousness. True Christians should seek to help others become friends of God rather than just being friends with
Heb 2:3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.
Jn 12:42-43 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Col 3:1-2 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
Mt 17:20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
1) The document discusses the serious and deadly nature of sin, noting that sin separates us from God.
2) It explains that sin comes from three sources: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
3) The solution to sin is found in Jesus, who died to pay for our sins so that through repentance and baptism, we can receive forgiveness and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
This document discusses two stories from Luke 18 about maintaining faith and humility. The first story is about a persistent widow who petitions an unjust judge for justice, teaching that people ought to always pray and not lose heart. The second story contrasts a Pharisee who boasts of his righteousness with a tax collector who humbly asks for God's mercy. Both stories teach that the key is to rely on God through prayer and faith, rather than finding fault in others or exalting oneself. The conclusion exhorts the reader to focus on having faith in God rather than faultfinding, and to change oneself through humility before trying to change the world.
The document outlines God's plan of salvation according to scripture as involving five steps: 1) Hearing the word of God, 2) Believing in Jesus, 3) Repenting of sins, 4) Confessing faith in Jesus, and 5) Being baptized for the remission of sins. It emphasizes that while people have come up with many plans of salvation, there is only one plan given by God in the Bible. It encourages examining whether one has truly obeyed God's biblical plan of salvation or been deceived by human-made plans.
God is everlasting, existing outside of time. He is glorious in power and authority, as shown by His presence on Mount Sinai. God is also gracious, showing mercy and grace by sending Jesus to die for humanity's sins. Finally, God alone is intrinsically good - He defines what is right and wrong. The document examines scripture to showcase God's eternal nature and qualities of glory, grace and goodness as the supreme being.
This document discusses the difference between repentance and reporting. It defines repentance as feeling sincere regret and remorse about one's wrongdoings that leads to a change in actions and thoughts. Reporting is simply giving an account of something observed without genuine regret. The Bible describes repentance as having three parts: showing sorrow for sins, stopping sinful behaviors, and starting righteous service. True repentance involves a life transformation where one turns away from sin and toward God through their deeds. The document encourages examining one's own fruits to determine if they have truly repented or just reported about spiritual matters.
The document discusses the birth of Jesus Christ and why he came. It argues that Jesus was born and came specifically for humanity. Key points made include:
- Jesus was born and came for us according to prophecies and promises in the Bible, though we are unworthy.
- God had a plan of redemption from the beginning that involved sending his Son, according to his providence and sovereignty.
- God perfectly presented Jesus' birth through his providential plan and the proclamation of angels, showing he is in control of all things.
Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.

Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.
Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1
Introduction
Mantra Yoga is an exact science. "Mananat trayate iti mantrah- by the Manana (constant thinking or recollection) of which one is protected or is released from the round of births and deaths, is Mantra." That is called Mantra by the meditation (Manana) on which the Jiva or the individual soul attains freedom from sin, enjoyment in heaven and final liberation, and by the aid of which it attains in full the fourfold fruit (Chaturvarga), i.e., Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. A Mantra is so called because it is achieved by the mental process.
Tales of This and Another Life - Chapters.pdfMashaL38
This book is one of the best of the translated ones, for it has a warning character for all those who find themselves in the experience of material life. Irmão X provides a shrewd way of describing the subtleties and weaknesses that can jeopardize our intentions, making us more attentive and vigilant by providing us with his wise pages, reminding us between the lines of the Master's words: "Pray and watch."
2. Seeing the Harvest Through
the Eyes of the Son!
Mt 9:36 But when He saw the
multitudes, He was moved with
compassion for them, because
they were weary and scattered,
like sheep having no shepherd.
3. How many of you have had the
opportunity to plant something before?
• How well did it do? Did you reap a good
harvest?
• The term “harvest” implies that
everything else necessary has already
been done!
♦The tilling, planting, watering and waiting
have already taken place!
♦It is now time to reap the reward!
4. The greatest harvest one can
ever take part in!
• Not just corn, cotton, or peas! But we
are dealing with “the souls of men!”
• This is the greatest work that one can
be involved in!
• There is nothing in the world greater
than this harvest!
5. Mt 16:26 “For what
profit is it to a man if he
gains the whole world,
and loses his own
soul? Or what will a
man give in exchange
for his soul?”
6. Learning to see souls in
need of a Savior!
• People are lost without the Son!
• There is no hope outside of Jesus!
♦Act. 4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any
other, for there is no other name under
heaven given among men by which we
must be saved."
7. I. The Pity of the Harvest!
(Mt. 9:35-36)
• Mt 9:35-36 Then Jesus went about all the cities
and villages, teaching in their synagogues,
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing
every sickness and every disease among the
people. But when He saw the multitudes, He was
moved with compassion for them, because they
were weary and scattered, like sheep having no
shepherd.
8. Jesus sees people as they “really are!”
• Everyone we meet is either “saved or
lost” there is no other option!
• Without Jesus one is lost!
♦Eph 2:12 that at that time you were without
Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth
of Israel and strangers from the covenants of
promise, having no hope and without God in
the world.
9. We need direction & protection!
• Sheep are helpless without the shepherd!
• Jesus is the “good Shepherd!”
♦Joh 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The
good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”
• Jesus bring hope for the future!
♦1 Cor. 15:19-20
10. II. The Potential of the Harvest!
(Mt. 9:37)
• Mt 9:37 Then He said to His disciples,
"The harvest truly is plentiful, but the
laborers are few.
• Even though they were sheep without a
shepherd, Jesus saw “potential” in them!
♦ Pol-oos’ = much, plenteous, abundant
♦ Found 365 times in the NT!
11. There are souls that need saving
all around us!
• If you cannot find enough to stay busy as
a Christian, then you are not looking!
• All around us is opportunity!
• When we look out into the world we are in,
do we see the potential in others?
12. III. The Problem of the Harvest!
(Mt. 9:37)
• Mt 9:37 Then He said to His disciples,
"The harvest truly is plentiful, but the
laborers are few.
• Jesus sees the pitiful state of men, He
sees the potential in them, but there is a
problem!
♦ Too few are willing to work for Him!
13. The power to save is
available to everyone, but few
are willing to go and share it!
• Did you know, that we still have this
same problem today?
• There are still many souls that need to
be saved, but someone has to share
Jesus with them!
14. IV. The Power of the Harvest!
(Mt. 9:38)
• Mt 9:38 "Therefore pray the Lord of the
harvest to send out laborers into His
harvest."
• There is “power in prayer!”
♦ Js. 5:15 And the prayer of faith will save the
sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he
has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
15. The “Key” is that we are people
that are willing to go and people
that are willing to pray!
• If only we would learn to take Jesus at
His Word!
• Jesus is big enough for all men’s sins!
♦Past, present and future!
16. Conclusion:
• It is my hope & prayer tonight that we will
learn to “see the harvest through the eyes
of the Son!”
• When we look around us, will we see
souls in need of a Savior? Will we be
willing to reach out and share Jesus with
them?
• “Here am I; send me!” (Is. 6:8)
