What is the Christian’s
purpose?

and whom I have created for My glory, Whom I
have formed, even whom I have made.
• 1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether, then you eat or

Some people live for
pleasure

• Ecclesiates 11:9 Rejoice, young man, during your
childhood, and let your heart be pleasant during the
days of young manhood. And follow the impulses of
your heart and the desires of your eyes. Yet know
that God will bring you to judgment for all these things.

• Do NOT allow pleasure to become our GOD!

popularity

• For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by
longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced
themselves with many griefs.
• Mark 8:36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world,
and lose (forfeit) his own soul?

• Romans 12:1— I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your reasonable service.
• Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and
to die is gain.
