Written as a systematic history of Jesus birth death and resurrection. Luke's Gospel was written so that any reader can be certain of the facts of Jesus life. Luke shows the activity of the Holy Spirit preparing the way for the gospel.
Make Me A Servant
Make me a servant Lord, make me like you
For you are a servant, make me one, too.
Make me a servant, do what you must do
To make me a servant, make me like you.
To love my brother, to serve like you do.
I humble my spirit, I bow before yo.
And through my service, I'll be just like you.
So make me a servant, make me like you.
Open my hands Lord and teach me to share
Open my heart Lord and teach me to care,
For service to others is service to you.
Make me a servant, make me like you.

We know the dictionary definition of worship (a feeling, or devotion to a deity), and we have read John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth"; but, what does the Bible teach us about the subject of worship? This is a series of lessons that gets to the heart of worship and what it really means for Christians.

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docx
The good shepherd
1.
2. Jesus Was Invited To A Dinner
• One evening, Jesus was invited to a certain
house for a dinner.
• Two men dressed in fine clothes, were
passing by.
• When they saw the guests arriving, they
stop and look.
• And one of them said,
“let’s pretend we are talking,
and let’s watch and see who was invited this time
to eat with Jesus.”
3. Jesus Was Invited To A Dinner
• As they saw people coming, one said:
“I cant believe it! Look who’s coming!”
It’s the store deeper,” “Everyone know he charges too
much; He's not fair!
• “Look right behind him,” said the other one,
“there’s the biggest liar in the town!
Everyone knows how stingy that man is with his
money.
He doesn't trust anyone; he carries his money with
him all the time!”
Don’t tell me He's invited to the same dinner
with Jesus!
4. Jesus Was Eating With Sinners
• Many more people came to watch.
The new spread fast amongst them:
“Jesus is eating with people who are bad and don’t care about
anyone but themselves!
Jesus is eating with sinners.”
1. Did Jesus care about these people? Yes. He did.
2. Do you think he cared about those who were outside watching too?
Yes, He did,
and He wished that they would understand how He felt about
people who were called sinners.
• Later, when Jesus had a chance, He helped them to understand by
telling them a story: THE GOOD SHEPHERD
6. The Good Shepherd
• Once there was a Good Shepherd who had a 100 sheep
and knew each of one by name.
• Of course the noticed when one of his lambs was missing.
He left the ninety-nine in a grassy field and went right away
to look for the one that was lost.
He searched among the rocks and bushes until he found the
lamb. It was caught in a thorn bush
• Do you think he was angry? NO,
a) He was happy and looked at his lamb so gently.
b) He bend down and carefully freed it, from the sharp thorns
that were tearing its skin.
7. The Good Shepherd
• The poor lamb was crying; it was son helpless.
• The shepherd put the lamb on its feet, but it was shaking
so badly that it couldn’t even take a step.
a) The shepherd picked his lamb up gently and put it on
his shoulders
b) He carried it all the way back through the thorns,
bushes and rocks,
c) so that the lamb wouldn’t hurt itself anymore.
• When he arrived home (Shepherd with sheep) the
shepherd called his friends and neighbors
• and said, “let’s celebrate! I have found my sheep that was
lost!”
8. Jesus Care about Each one of Us
• When Jesus finished the story about the Good Shepherd, He
asked the people,
1. “Do you understand what I am saying?
I am like this Good Shepherd; I care about each one of
you.
I want to help those who have wandered away from
God,
because they are suffering, and need me to bring them
back.”
• Many of the people understood what Jesus was saying.
• They were sorry for being jealous of those who needed Jesus’
help so much.
9. Why The Shepherd Looks for the Lost Lamb?
1. Why do you think, the shepherd looked for the lost
lamb?
2. Why did the shepherd carry the lamb back?
3. Have you ever heard of someone who ran away from
home and got into trouble?
4. How do you think their parents felt?
5. How would you feel if your brother or sister ran
away?
• (don’t say things just to show off; speak sincerely)
10. Way to Coming Back
• Sometimes we can be like the lost sheep:
a) Not coming to class to learn about Jesus
b) Going with bad friends
c) Playing outside instead of going into church for Mass
d) Don’t obeying or judging our parents.
• Tell me some ways to coming back to God.
