We have finally come to our eternal home in the last two chapters of the Bible. What a way to end! What a future for those who "drink of the water" (22:17) by trusting in Jesus Christ, the focal point of the book of Revelation and the entire Bible. Download the entire manuscript, study notes, and handout at BibleStudyDownloads.org (NT Preaching link). You may also listen to the audio of this message at http://cicfamily.com/sermon-listing/?tag=Revelation+of+John.
Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
God promised to David that he will always have a descendant to seat at his throne. Messiah came from the Line of David and will come again, and His kingdom will be an everlasting one.
Make Me A Servant
Make me a servant Lord, make me like you
For you are a servant, make me one, too.
Make me a servant, do what you must do
To make me a servant, make me like you.
To love my brother, to serve like you do.
I humble my spirit, I bow before yo.
And through my service, I'll be just like you.
So make me a servant, make me like you.
Open my hands Lord and teach me to share
Open my heart Lord and teach me to care,
For service to others is service to you.
Make me a servant, make me like you.
Why did God give the Law - so high, So demanding, So unreasonable humanly speaking that no body (no man, no woman, no boy, no girl) has ever been able to keep them?

God's wrath, God's Will - Jesus Christ, God's Will - Church God's Will - The...franktsao4
The descent of the plague this time was large, violent, and wide-ranging, showing the wrath of God, but why is God so wrathful? If we put ourselves in the perspective of God, He sent Jesus Christ to pave the way for us to live a true and living eternal life. The price is the life of His single beloved Son. He established the church. He hope the church can continue to carry out this mission. However, is the church obeying God's command? And does the church interpret the Bible in accordance with God's will? Do those who participate in the church have salvation? If the answer to the above is no, it is no wonder that God is so angry.
A series of classes designed to turn you into a "World Christian" by helping you discover the truth of God's unfulfilled global purpose to reach all peoples. It will ignite in you a passion to take action and fulfill your destiny as part of God's plan.

Projecting the potential impacts of COVID-19 school closures on academic achi...Jim Hsia
In this study, we produce a series of projections of COVID-19-related learning loss and its potential effect on test scores in the 2020-21 school year based on (a) estimates from prior literature and (b) analyses of typical summer learning patterns of five million students. Under these projections, students are likely to return in fall 2020 with approximately 63-68% of the learning
gains in reading relative to a typical school year and with 37-50% of the learning gains in math.
However, we estimate that losing ground during the COVID-19 school closures would not be universal, with the top third of students potentially making gains in reading.

Press Release: Designing, Constructing and Packaging BAND-AID® ActivityJim Hsia
Students at Milpitas Christian School (MCS) used their science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills to understand the concepts for designing, constructing and packaging bandages. Volunteers from Johnson & Johnson Vision challenged the elementary school students to think critically and be creative problem solvers during their in-class exploratory sessions.
The annual Synopsys Championship showcases students in the Santa Clara County of California who will become our future scientists, technology experts, engineers, and mathematicians. This regional competition celebrates achievement by middle and high school students supported by their parents, teachers, and schools. MCS students competed against public and prestigious private middle schools from Cupertino, Santa Clara, San Jose, Campbell, and Milpitas.
White Paper: Academic Achievement at Milpitas Christian SchoolJim Hsia
In April of each year, students at Milpitas Christian School in grades 2 to 8 take a standardized achievement test (TerraNova 3 Complete Battery). This tool provides detailed diagnostic information, precise norm-referenced achievement scores, a full complement of criterion-referenced objective mastery scores, and performance-level information.
Are Preschoolers Ready for Remote Learning?Jim Hsia
When schools are closed, parents suddenly need to become the “preschool teachers” for their school-aged children. Elementary and middle school students seem comfortable with technology and remote learning, but what about preschool-aged children? Are 2-, 3- and 4-year old children ready for video-based lessons at home?
Milpitas Christian School (MCS) students are performing significantly above national norms in mathematics and math computation, according to the latest standardized tests.
Unless you get their attention, students will never have an opportunity to learn. MCS teachers use their creativity and experience to engage children. Updated May 2020.

Developing the Whole Child - Milpitas Christian PreschoolJim Hsia
When learning is fun, children are more attentive and more motivated. Our interactive activities apply a variety of proven teaching methods to reach all learners—including those who may speak another language at home.
Play-based learning helps young children to build critical communication and collaboration skills without realizing that they are actively learning. Singing, drawing, and counting help kids build academic foundations. Sharing and cooperating with other children allow children to develop social and emotional skills.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

Renewed in Grace
2. Common Misconceptions:
• Missions is a church program
• Missionaries are a spiritual elite
• Missions is only about evangelism
• Missions always means going to another
country
3. God’s Mission
• The church is part of God’s mission’s program
• Every believer is a “missionary”
• Missions is more than evangelism
• Everywhere is a missions field
4. A Theology of Mission
• Matthew 28: 19-20
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to
obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I
am with you always, to the very end of the age."
5. THE OTHER GREAT COMMISSION
Genesis 12:1-3
1 The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people
and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you;
I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will
curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
10. ABRAM’S RESPONSE
So Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot
went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old
when he set out from Haran.
11. GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES
Promise is repeated.
Promise is made to Isaac, Jacob
Blessing to Abraham & heirs
Blessing to those they interact with.
Promise extends to us as children of Abraham
12. We are children of Abraham!
6 Consider Abraham: "He believed God, and it was
credited to him as righteousness.“ 7Understand, then,
that those who believe are children of Abraham. 8The
Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles
by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to
Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you.“ 9
So those who have faith are blessed along with
Abraham, the man of faith.
13. You are all sons of God through faith in Christ
Jesus, 27for all of you who were baptized into
Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free,
male nor female, for you are all one in Christ
Jesus. 29If you belong to Christ, then you are
Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the
promise.
Galatians 3
14. What does this look like?
The place God calls you to is the place
where your deep gladness and the
world’s deep hunger meet.
Frederick Buechner
15. OUR IDENTITY
10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has
created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we
can do the good things he planned for us
long ago, that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2
16. UNDERSTANDING THIS VERSE
• Poiema- “work of art”; poetry; Masterpiece
• Ktisthenes- created; as by an artist; as God
created universe; new creation
• Epi- for the purpose of, movement ending up
at a specific spot
• Prontoimasen- prepared beforehand by God
• Peripatesomen- walk a path
17. GOD’S BLESSING IS YOUR S.H.A.P.E.
• SPIRITUAL GIFTS
• HEART-PASSIONS
• ABILITIES
• PERSONALITY
• EXPERIENCES
How has GOD blessed you?
How can you bless the world?
18. “WALKING IN GOOD WORKS”
God does nothing except in response to
believing prayer. Do all the good you can, by all
the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all
the places you can, at all the times you can, to
all the people you can, as long as ever you can. I
the chief of sinners am, but Jesus died for me.
Often attributed to John Wesley
32. RECAP: GOD’S MISSION
• Global, Universal, Inclusive, Personal
• Establishing His Kingdom
• Bringing His Salvation
33. DIFFERENT BIBLICAL WAYS OF
UNDERSTANDING OUR IDENTITY
AS CHRISTIANS
• Disciple who is a disciple maker
• God’s masterpiece
• Blessed to be a blessing
• Salt and light
• Sheep
• Worker in the Master’s fields
• Good soil
34. JESUS’S LAST WORDS
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All
authority in heaven and on earth has been
given to me. 19 Therefore go and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you. And surely
I am with you always, to the very end of the
age.”
35. GOD’S MASTERPIECE
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew
in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he
planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
36. BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING
….I will bless you; I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you, and whoever
curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”
Genesis 12: 2b-3
37. SALT AND LIGHT
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its
saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no
longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and
trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a
hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a
lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its
stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your
Father in heaven.
38. SHEEP vs. GOAT
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who
are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom
prepared for you since the creation of the world.35 For I was
hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and
you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you
invited me in,36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was
sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to
visit me.
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for
one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did
for me.’
39. WORKER IN THE FIELD
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages,
teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good
news of the kingdom and healing every disease and
sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had
compassion on them, because they were harassed and
helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he
said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the
workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest,
therefore, to send out into his harvest field.”
40. GOOD SOIL
…“A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the
seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it
up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much
soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But
when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they
withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among
thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed
fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty
or thirty times what was sown.
… 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who
hears the word and understands it. This is the one who
produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what
was sown.”
41. GOAL: WORLD CHRISTIAN
Ordinary believers whose lives have been
transformed by an extraordinary vision.
They have captured and been captured by
that vision. They see the world as God
sees it. They understand and feel the pain
caused by sin but are also thrilled by what
God has done and is doing to establish His
Kingdom and fervently desire to be a part
of it.
