supporting and partnering with our clients as they shift to digital
channels.
• Additionally, fraud is a growing problem – growing in both incidents
and complexity. In Canada, we estimate that the total impact of fraud
is close to $2 billion – stemming from both losses and cost of
operations.
• These opportunities open the door for Symcor to offer industry-
leading digital and data services initially to detect and prevent current
and emerging fraud.

• As part of that, Symcor has launched a fraud platform leveraging next generation analytics, machine learning
and advanced Al to provide fraud detection and prevention services to our clients.

• Symcor’s Privacy and Data Governance team designed a
comprehensive policy to empower the ethical use of data for fraud
detection and prevention.
• Hortonworks, Informatica and HPE(Voltage) were able to provide us
with industry-leading solutions that allowed us to realize our
comprehensive data governance policies through technology
solutions.

Hortonworks was able to resolve the issues while maintaining the security requirements. On demand access because Hortonworks supports Ranger and AD integration\Kerberos. Amazing third party support with Hortonworks and cooperation. For example, format preserving encryption integration with Hortonworks was easy. Ranger providing just in time access. Atlas for managing data ingestion linage – data governance.
