as well asshowingthe schoolsplatformforthe creative arts. Asthe typical targetaudience willbe
studentsaspiringtomove ontoA levelsratherthanthatof parents;we have decidedtofocusonthe
subjectsthatoutline Ringwoodspecialistareas.
The print mediaplannedcontainsmore factsandstatisticsaroundresultsandofferingsassuming
that any observerwouldhave more time toconsume. We have chosentoconcentrate on emotional
impactfor the TV advert.
Sixthfrom/year12 openevening –TV advert
Our TV campaignforthe year12 openingeveningis designedtoimpressthe students byhighlighting
the school’sprestigiousreputationforitsproductions;whichinturndemonstratesthe manyfields
that can be experiencedanddisplaysthe collaborative spiritof the school. We have decidedthatfor
visual impactand to emphasise the factthatRingwoodisthe only sixthform/schoolinthe local area
to offerthe course of BTEC ProductionatA Level toconcentrate onthat theme. We believethat this
isa keydifferentiatorforthe school andregardless of whetherthe studentschoose itasa fieldof
study;demonstratesthe thoroughandprofessionalwaythatRingwoodapproacheseducation. This
will be translatedthroughourTV advertisement bycombiningimagesandsounds of the upcoming
showof LesMisérables aswell asshowingelementsof Ringwoodlife. The firstscene willconsistof a
BTEC studentsingingeither‘Bringhimhome’or‘Doyou hearthe people sing’, placedcentre stage
withvisible evidenceof the lightingeffortand otherteamstoemphasise the many rolesandparts
involvedindeliveringaperformance. The audioof the singingwillcontinuethroughoutthe advert
at varyingvolumesaswell asthe creationof a soundscape of Ringwoodschool where artistically
appropriate. The otherareasof expertisedisplayedforvisual impact throughoutbothsequences
are age and interestappropriate accordingtothe stage of educationthe prospectivestudentisin.
For the year 7 we have includedacademicaswell ascreative subjectsinthe visual;whereasinthe
year12 openeveningwe have concentratedonthe keydifferentiatorof the creative artsyllabus.
Withthe close tieswithAUB; Ringwoodsixthformisthe mostdesiredplace togowhenlooking
towardsa career inthe creative arts or drama. It isalsoworth consideringthatthe creative exports
for the UK and therefore jobprospectsandrewardingcareersare onan upwardcurve for any
prospective studenttoconsiderlaunchingtheircareer campaign. Towardsthe endof the sequence
for year7; the scenesconcentrate onthe lifestyle elementof the school. Forthe year 12; we have
chosento demonstrate onscreenthe culminationof creative inshowinganimpactful visual and
audioof the school seniorproductionwhichdisplaysthe level of expertise gainedinthe fieldand the
combinedresultsof the finishedproductacrossall disciplines. The school emblemplaysapart
throughoutall sequencestoenableviewerstosubconsciouslylinkthe emotionandthrill of the
visual withthe school asa physical entity.
