This document outlines a proposed English course for two children who will be moving abroad to focus on teaching math vocabulary. The course objectives are to teach the children math-related vocabulary like numbers, operations, shapes and improve their pronunciation. Complementary activities would include songs, drawings, videos and games to make learning fun. Evaluation would assess the children's fluency in identifying numbers, operations and geometric shapes in English as well as pronouncing them correctly. A variety of materials like images, worksheets, games and videos are suggested to engage the children visually and keep their attention.

C. Two parents are planning to live abroad with their two children in two years, and they are
looking for an English Tutor who can help their son and daughter of 13 years old to have a
smoother transition to a math class. These two children have gone to a bilingual school for 2
years, but for some reason the math teacher talked more in Spanish than in English during his
class, and for this reason the children were not familiarized with enough English vocabulary on
math. Their parents want their children to learn and master the math vocabulary used for 6th and
7th grade. They are pretty good at math, but do not understand the vocabulary quite well.

This course is exclusively developed for the teaching and learning of children who will move to
English lands, which is why it will be very important to learn school vocabulary, especially the
language related to the subject of mathematics

Through a course based on teaching with an eminently practical orientation, the aim is for the
student to achieve greater fluency in communication with speakers from other countries,
enhancing their skills and communicative ability in English.
Specific objetives
- Teaching children easily and didactically different types of vocabulary related mainly to
mathematics, such as: numbers, signs and operations that familiarize them and at the same
time allows them to obtain good communication and fluency
- Remember mainly the basic topics of English to lose the ice and maintain a good
relationship with children.
Complementary activities
In this case, I will put simple and fun activities for children to learn the basic concepts of
mathematics:
- song: although they are very long, they are the ones that most attract children's attention.
- Draw and follow the line: for children, it is very fun and important to color and trace, as it
allows them to develop their motor skills and learn to write numbers in English. In my case, I will
put an image of the number or sign and at the top I would put the name in letters so that the
children can color and join the lines

of the children when identifying the numbers or symbols. I will use images and files that should

the other hand, it will be of the utmost importance that the children identify and know what is
said in English (I say the number 33 or any other number without showing images, only
pronouncing)
