Posterior surface: by posterior scrotal N, branches of
perineal branches of pudendal nerve
Inferior surface: Perineal branches of posterior
cutaneous nerve of the thigh (S2-3)
Clinical: To anesthetize anterior & anterolateral surfaces of
scrotum, anesthetic agent is given at a higher
spinal cord level than when anesthetizing the
posterior & inferior surfaces because of the origin
of the nerves to these surfaces from the spinal
cord.
