THE NOTE 
SCRIPT 
EXT. NEW FAMILY HOUSE – DAY 
FREDDIE and CHARLOTTE begin to move things into their newly brought 
house. An establishing shot will set the scene of the film 
FREDDIE: 
I feel really good about this 
place Charlotte 
CHARLOTTE: 
So do I love it here, I can’t 
believe it was such a bargain 
BETH rummages through the last few boxes in order to find her 
favourite teddy 
BETH: 
Mummy, I found it! 
CHARLOTTE: 
That tatty should have 
been left behind 
BETH glares at her mum and then runs into the new family home 
INT.BETHS BEDROOM 
BETH finds a note written on pink flowery paper saying ‘HI FRIEND’ 
in bold capital letters. BETH replies to the note saying ‘Hello, who 
are you?’ 
CHARLOTTE: 
(SHOUTS) Dinners Ready 
BETH carefully places her teddy in bed and puts the note in her 
draw. Then leaves her bedroom 
INT. DINING ROOM 
FREDDIE, CHARLOTTE, BETH are sat at the table. BETH hears her teddy 
making a noise upstairs and proceeds upstairs. 
INT.BETHS BEDROOM 
BETH stands looking at her teddy that has had an ear ripped off and 
the note is sat beside the teddy however it is scrunched up in a 
ball. She opens the note and sees that it is blank, she then looked 
up confused and sees a note written on the window saying ‘Friend why 
didn’t you invite me to dinner?’ 
BETH: 
(SCREAMS) MUMMY! 
INT.BETHS BEDROOM
CHARLOTTE stands beside BETH whilst Beth point to the window but 
there is nothing there. BETH holds the teddy up to CHARLOTTE and she 
shakes her head 
INT.BETHS BEDROOM - NIGHT 
BETHS teddy begins to make a noise which is coming from the 
bathroom, this wakes up BETH 
INT.BETHS BATHROOM- NIGHT 
She walks into the bathroom. She sees her teddy in a sink full of 
blood with one arm missing. She turns round to face the mirror and 
she notices the arm is above it, she goes to grab the arm and then 
she notices a figure behind her. 
INT. BETHS BEDROOM – NIGHT 
BETH is sat on her bed cross legged upright rocking staring at the 
blank wall 
INT.LIVING ROOM- MORNING 
BETH is writing notes to her own family on mirrors herself 
INT.DINING ROOM 
BETH starts reading the note at the family table and CHARLOTTE 
snatches it off her BETH swipes her in the face leaving her with 
scratch across her face 
INT. KITCHEN 
CHARLOTTE is sobbing whilst looking through old photos of BETH. 
FREDDIE walks into the kitchen to see her crying 
FREDDIE: 
What’s up love? 
CHARLOTTE: 
(WHILST HOLDING UP A PICTURE) 
What went wrong? 
EXT.GARDEN- EVENING 
BETH walks in the garden, and a light turns on as she walks. She 
then stares into the light. 
INT.DINING ROOM- NIGHT 
BETH begins to destroys the house including ripping off the table 
cloth and kicking the furniture around. BETH hears her mother coming 
down the stairs and then she hides behind the kitchen wall and 
follows her mother into the living room. 
INT.LIVING ROOM- NIGHT 
BETH pushes her mother and then goes to hit her with a vase, she is 
then interrupted by her dad. He grabs the vase
FREDDIE: 
Why are you doing 
all this? 
BETH:
