SAM runs down the street. WIDE SHOT. PAN FROM LEFT TO CENTRE.
SAM looking over her shoulder. CLOSE UP. NON-DIEGETIC OF DARREN/CHRISTINA
arguing with SAM
SAM running down street. TRACKING SHOT from a HIGH ANGLE.
EXT. ALLEYWAY IN PERTON. DAY
SAM runs through alleyway. TRACKING SHOT
FLASHBACK in BLACK AND WHITE. DARREN being abusive towards SAM
DARREN
You’re scared? This isn’t angry! Trust me, you don’t want to see me get angry
SAM
Darren. Please. Please let me go, I’m begging you
DARREN
I hope you know that you’re pathetic. You’re lucky to have me, you really are

2. Screen FADES OUT back into scene
WOMAN continues to run through alleyway
CROSSCUTTING. DARREN discovers SAM has left home and goes looking for her
EXT. FIELD IN PERTON. DAY
WOMAN runs through FIELD quickly. TRACKING SHOT
FLASHBACK in BLACK AND WHITE. SAM and CHRISTINE ARGUING
SAM
But mom, I’m not like that anymore. I know I’ve caused problems in the family but I’m not like

CHRISTINE
I will never forgive you, I hope you know that you have ruined my life. You’re the reason that
me and your dad divorced. It’s all your fault Sam, I want nothing to do with you
SAM
Mom, please, give me a chance, I don’t know how many times I have to say sorry to you
CHRISTINE
Stay away from me

SAM runs into the woods. TRACKING SHOT
SAM slows down. NON DIEGETIC MOOD MUSIC comes to a stop
SAM catches her breathe. CLOSE UP.
SAM turns her head to look around as she is suspicious. POV. DIEGETIC SOUND of twig
breaking
SAM continues to panic and catch her breathe. FIGURE emerges from behind the camera.
WIDE SHOT. DIEGETIC SOUND of heart beating.
CLOSE UP on figures knife
SLOW MOTION. SAM’S bag drops to the floor.
Screen BLACKS OUT all of a sudden.
Screen BLURS back into the scene. SAMS feet get dragged out of the frame. EXTREME
CLOSE UP. TRACKING SHOT
Film name follows SAMS feet onto the screen.
