Recently divorced Meg and her daughter Sarah have moved into a new home in New York. During a tour of the house, they discover a panic room designed to be impenetrable. That night, three burglars break into the home. Meg locks herself and Sarah inside the secure panic room for safety. However, the criminals seem to know the house's layout and want whatever is inside the panic room. Just by the trailer, it is clear the film aims to appeal to a wide audience over 15 with elements like the mother-daughter relationship drawing in older females while violence attracts teen boys and men.

3. the panic room trailer starts of with calm, cosy and uses inviting
music with a voice over of the estate agent giving a tour of the
house. The mood and the music and its pass all changes when
the panic room was introduces with non digenetic sound of a
train getting closer(emphasis on the panic) heavy breathing as
the agent carry‟s on his tour of the house. As the equilibrium is
about to be disrupted as meg whispers to Sarah “I love you”
which tells the audience that a problem is about to accoutre. the
problem has arrives with gust of wind, loud thunder in the
background, pulling of door handles and footstep creeks until
meg noticed that she has intruders and everything when silent
until she got in the panic room then pass of the shot speeded up
and so did the music and the sound.
In the „panic room‟ there was a consistent use of fading shot to get to the next shot
another shot that was repetitively use was a fast past shots. as the audience are aware
that the disruption has accrued the camera goes into a fast tracking shot all around the
house into a extreme zoom to identify the disruption. At the end they have a sound bridge
when they use a black screen and the Meg and Sarah are talking. One other thing I have
noticed it when most trailers star of with a establishing shot slowly followed by a long shot

equilibrium .as the disruption comes into the house I noticed that they are taken out of
focus and blurred also the lighting is curtail element to panic room as lighting is used in a
particular way to portray a characters personality or mood .
