2. Crawlers Introduction
Out of the depths of the cave the crawlers appear from the cracks and cavers of the cave
to begin their attack the 6 woman. The sudden appearance of the crawlers leaves them
unprepared to defend themselves, afraid of what they might have to fight away. A torch
lit appearance of the crawler shows off how they could be around them at any time, and
also how vicious they are, this adds the scary affect the people who watch the film would
like to see. Only for a brief second the crawlers face is on the screen before the initial
attack. Sound used is the faint background noise of water dripping off the rock faces,
along with the panting then voices of the 6 main characters.Thomas Phillips
3. The first attack from the crawlers leads into the death of Holly, with her neck being ripped
open. And nearly being dragged off to be eaten by the rest of the crawlers, but Juno fights
and then kills the first attacking crawler. In this few second shot the lighting is very dim,
but it is also red, so it’s highlighting the blood of when she is being killed. Lasting for around
1-3 seconds with the whole death sequence, but cutting around the scene. A gory sound of
Holly’s neck being torn open giving a squeamish atmosphere, but also the background
screams of Juno calling out to her but being to late.

4. The first look at the crawlers scares everyone so much they all split up, making the
situation even more dangerous. In a panic Sarah keeps on running even when she is being
called to wait for others. The lighting here is slightly brighter than the crawlers first attack,
with help from the torches they all have and because of the shot, it’s wide causing the
shot to need more light so you can make out Sarah and Sam running away from the attack.
Jumping around the scene, lasting for around 3-6 seconds for the whole sequence. Here
the sound is a mix, it uses the water dripping along with Sam creaming at Sarah, but also
the splashes of water as they run through holes filled with water along the cave. Giving a
quick fast moving atmosphere, where anyone could be next to die.

5. The crash
The car crash scene was unexpected, no one could predict what could have happened.
this sets up the story behind how Sarah acts around things, after the discovery of Juno
and Paul Sarah is determined to get revenge at all costs. The sunlight is providing a good
amount of light for this scene, casting over the crash itself. Sound used consists of mainly
the sound of the squealing tires and also music coming in as the camera pans away.

6. The dream Sarah has of her daughter after the crash, she is in a hospital bed for this,
at first it shows a small amount of uncertainty wondering if she is alive or dead, but
from how the scene is lit only from the cake candles and how the music is faint it
gives a un right atmosphere

7. The dream sequence itself once Sarah has awoken from her car crash in the hospital,
it shows that she isn’t herself and that something is wrong. She knows that she has lost her
family so the hallucination of the hospital is consuming her, hence why the lights keep
turning off as she run down the hallway. She is scared and doesn’t stop running until she
runs into one of her friends and the hallucination ends. This scene plays with the lighting
turning it off more and more, but keeping just enough light to have Sarah in the shot. The
sound then is a continuous noise following her panting and also the sound of her footsteps
as she run. Thomas Phillips
