I. Rationale
A strong foundation in math and science is crucial for early students. This crucial
academic preparation provides doors to financial literacy, critical thinking, and healthy
decision-making in addition to the intrinsic pleasure students can find researching these
subjects and the self-confidence generated by mastery. Furthermore, because the
innovation of Science and Mathematics, it is through these subjects that we can protect the
existing environmental issues. The math and science skills, these skills are essential in the
awareness and safeguarding the environment.
Young students are extremely curious and have so many inquiries about the world
and how it functions. Education in math and science offers a framework for how to
conduct research. Math articulates ideas ranging from the obvious to the obscure while
simulating processes and relationships in our observable environment. Science pays close
attention to the nature and interactions of the objects in our environment. Understanding
those connections has implications for politics, the arts, and civic engagement and most
importantly the environment. Learning math and science gives kids the skills they need to
comprehend, evaluate, and have an impact on the communities in which they live.
In connection with this , the Yes-O, Science and Mathematics Club of LR Morandante
Integrated School spearheads in the celebration of School-Based SCI-MATH Festival with the theme
" “ACCENTUATING THE ERAS OF SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS THROUGH
INVIGORATING ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION”. This event's goal is to help participants
develop their skills and talents through a competitive yet supportive environment of Science and
Mathematics competitions. It also aims to encourage peer collaboration while showcasing the
participants' abilities and scientific and mathematical skills. These skills should be harnessed and
uncovered in order for participants to be competitive.
