The SAILS project aims to prepare science teachers to teach science through inquiry and assess student learning through inquiry. It involves 3 cohorts of teachers working with units and case studies in a community of practice. The project focuses on formative assessment of individuals and groups to track progression over time through teacher observations, rubrics, and other methods. The SAILS website hosts materials like units, case studies, and videos that can be searched by inquiry skills or subject content.
