HINDUISM – SATYAMEVA JAYATE
 Hinduism or Sanatana Dharma stands for Truth and only Truth.
 Our Sages were scientists of their time.
 They probed and understood the universe through Yogic practices.
 Vedas are complete compendium of this knowledge.
 It is important that we understand our Dharma and practice it.
 Our Dharma states that there are two types of Truth: SRUTI (Absolute) and SMRITI (Relative).
 Our entire belief system is based on this.
 There is only one GOD and he is PARA BRAHMAN.
 He becomes the Creator, Sustainer and Destroyer in the form of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswara.
 Modern science has benefited immensely from our thoughts.
 Albert Einstein, Erwin Schrödinger, Robert Oppenheimer, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Schopenhauer and many
more western scientists and philosophers were ardent vendatis.
 We should learn, understand and respect our timeless culture.
“In the morning I bathe my intellect in the
stupendous and cosmogonal philosophy of the
Bhagavat Geeta, since whose composition
years of the gods have elapsed,
and in comparison with which our modern world
and its literature seem puny and trivial” – Henry David Throreau
"Land of religions, cradle of human race, birthplace
of human speech, grandmother of legend,
great grandmother of tradition. The land that all
men desire to see and having seen once even by a
glimpse, would not give that glimpse for the shows
of the rest of the globe combined."– Mark Twain
"Access to the Vedas is the greatest privilege this century
may claim over all previous centuries.“ – Robert J Oppenheimer
Creates Galaxies, Stars and Planets with
PanchaBhutas: Air, Fire, Water, Soil and
Space.
One day of Brahma = 864 crore human
years
One human day = 86,400 seconds.
His time cycle is 432 crore human years.
He created Earth 432 crore years ago as
stated in our puranas. Today Earth is
estimated to be 4.3 billion (430 crore)
years old.
BRAHMA
(CREATOR)
He is Narayana. Nara is the water in the
cosmic egg (HiranyaGarbha) the
explosion of which results in the
expanding BrahmaAnda (Universe).
Ayana is to move as in UttarAyana and
DakshinAyana of Sun across the equator.
Ramanyana is epic of the movement of
Shri Ram from one place to another.
Hence Narayana is the source of life and
he moves in the water element of the
Universe.
Life springs from Water.
MAHAVISHNU
(SUSTAINER)
Shiva Tandav sustains the expanding
Universe - BrahmaAnda. The universe is
egg shaped and is expanding.
BRAHM = Expand
ANDA = Egg
At some point in time and space the
universe will stop expanding and start
shrinking causing MahaPralaya or
dissolution.
MAHESHWARA
(DESTROYER)
HINDUISM – TRIMURTHY
4 Faces represent 4 Vedas.
The complete knowledge of
the Universe
BRAHMA
Saraswathi represents the
knowledge of the Vedas.

HINDUISM – BRAHMA’S CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE
HiranyaGarbha
Universe - BrahmaAnda
Solar System
Milky Way Galaxy
Western Science Tows The Same Line
Hiranya means GOLD
Garbha is mother’s WOMB
and egg-shaped. Rig Veda
talks of its explosion
(Brahmanda Vispotak).
Western Scientists call this
The BIG BANG. OM is the
sound of this explosion.
It contains 5 elements: Air,
Water, Fire, Soil and Space.
HiranyaGarbha expands and
is called BrahmaAnda
literally meaning -
Expanding Egg
Brahma created all the
Galaxies in the BrahmaAnda
(Universe) using Air, Water,
Fire, Soil and Space.
Brahma created our home
Galaxy Milky Way and stars in
it. Of which The Sun is a star
and was created 500 Crore
years ago.
Brahma created our planet
Earth 432 crore human
years ago. Here all Five
Elements(Pancha Bhutas)
are found in one place. No
where else can we find them
together.
5 headed serpent represents 5 elements:
Air, Water, Fire, Space and Land. It is
called AdiSesha or AnantNag. It denotes
the repeating cycle of creation,
sustenance and destruction of the
Universe.
The concept (∞ )of infinity has been taken
from AnantNag (Endless Serpent).
The Sudharshan Chakra represents Time and
Conch Shell represents OM.
The Mace(Gada) is the inverted Spinal Cord
and head of Man.
MAHAVISHNU
There are 8 forms of Lakshmi
Adi Lakshmi (The primal mother goddess)
Dhana Lakshmi (One who showers wealth)
Dhanya Lakshmi (One who eliminates hunger)
Gaja Lakshmi (Power and Strength)
Santana Lakshmi (Children)
Veera Lakshmi (Courage and Strength)
Vijaya Lakshmi (Victory)
Vidya Lakshmi (Wisdom and knowledge)

‘The Hindu revelation, which proclaims the slow and gradual
formation of worlds, is of all revelations the only one whose ideas are
in complete harmony with modern science. ‘ – Louis Jacolliote
Ages before Lamarck and Darwin it was held in India that man has passed
through 84 lakhs (8,400,000) of birth as plants, animals, as an "inferior
species of man" and then as the ancestor of the developed type existing
to-day. The theory was not, like modern doctrine of evolution, based
wholly on observation and a scientific enquiry into fact but was a rather
(as some other matters) an act of brilliant intuition in which observation
may also have had some part. – Sir John Woodroffe

Lord Shiva dissolves the universe only
to be produced again. SHIVA means
SHariram(Body) – Ishwari (Energy) –
VAyu (Air). Withouth Ishwari or
Shakthi we become SHAVAM. Hence
he is the destroyer.
Lord Shiva is the Potential energy. He
maintains the current state of
expansion of universe until he
dissolves it.
MAHESHWARA
Parvathi Mata is Shakti. She is the
Kinetic energy. Shakti means energy.
She is ferocious energy in the form
of KAALI and benign energy in the
form of AMBA.
The many forms of Amba are
because there are many forms of
energy.
SHAKTHI MATA
HINDUISM – MAHESHWARA AND SHAKTHI MA
Nataraja (Shiva Tandavam)
Egg shaped Universe and the rim
of Lord Nataraja (Shiva Tandav)
statue signify expanding universe
due to cosmic dance of Lord Shiva.
When he shifts his leg the
shrinking of the universe will take
place. Hence he is the destroyer.

The collection of all galaxies at the
central axis of Ellipse will be seen as a
Column of light as shown in the picture
of Universe.
This is what our Rishis have recorded in
puranas. Jyothi means light and Linga
means Column OR Pillar and hence
JYOTHILINGA.
Therefore Shiva has No beginning(ADI)
or end (ANTH).
Edwin Hubble (Hubble’s Telescope) in
his observations states that the
universe is expanding at a tremendouse
rate. So the Universe has no beginning
or end.
He is called NeelaKanda.
ThiruAnnamalai Temple in Tamil Nadu
signifies this truth. This temple
represents Fire component of Pancha
Bootha ( 5 Elements).

The explosion of HiranyaGarbha
(Cosmic Egg) resulted in a sound
– OM.
SriGanesha is also called
GanaPathy. GaNaanam Pathi :
Lord of Sound. Gana means
(syllable)sound.
OM is the bija-akshara or seed-
letter.
BrahmaAnda Nataraja (Shiva Tandavam)
In Tamil Nadu people use this
symbol as OM. An egg
containing the Dhand(Spear).
Lord SubraManyaOM
(Subramanya) holds this
Dhand.
He is also know as Skanda.

This why on a Solar Ecilpse day
we find the Moon completely closing
the Sun. They both appear as same
sized objects to us from the Earth.
This appearance is due to the ratio : 108
This ratio ensures both Moon and Sun appear of the same size to
us on Earth. The ratio is a Sruti(absolute truth). Hence if this ratio
is violated the system will be destroyed.
Likewise human beings must also maintain harmony like the
planets do
HINDUISM – SIGNIFICANCE OF 108
Diameter of SUN
Diameter of MOON
Distance between MOON and EARTH = 108 X Diameter of MOON
Distance between SUNand EARTH = 108 X Diameter of SUN

In India we have been doing ThoppiKarnam
before Sri Ganapathi for thousands of years.
However in the US they have recently
patented this as SUPER BRAIN YOGA. We
are loosing many of our treasures due to
ignorance.
Twitching the right ear lobe
activates Left Brain and improves
Logical thinking
Twitching the left ear lobe
activates Right Brain and improves
Creative thinking
In Gurukula System of education our ancestors never
canned or gave corporal punishment. Students were asked
to do Thoppikarnam to balance brain growth.
One-sided growth leads to Egoism and Arrogance.
That is why before we enter a temple we do this to reduce
our ego.

HINDUISM – DID YOU KNOW?
Turmeric is a natural anti-
septic. It has been used in
India as part of Ayurveda.
It is part of Indian diet too.
It keeps bacterial
infections away.
It is so important in keeping the
good health of the Woman of the
family that our ancestors wore
Thaali(Mangalsudra) with Turmeric
thread. Turmeric was applied to the
thread every Friday to keep
infections away.
Neem grows
predominantly in the
Indian subcontinent.
It has powerful anti-
bacterial properties.
As the South-West monsoon
sets in India the festival
season starts. People wear
cotton clothes drenched in
Turmeric and Neem to keep
them healthy during rainy
season
Poojas in India are never done
without Camphor. It has high
anti-microbial properties. All
common cold medicines have
camphor in it.
People do not touch the fire
but inhale the vapour of the
burning camphor in Aarthi.
It has been a tradition everywhere in India while
someone from the family comes from a trip or tour the
mother of family does Aarthi. It was essentially done as
a sterilizing act using camphor, turmeric and betel
leaf(anti-bacterial).
The health of family is mother’s responsibility. Hence
the person was sterilized before entering the house as
there could have been epidemics /infections elsewhere.
Who can forget Swine flue in 2009? It is also notable
that very few died in India compared to the number of
deaths in developed nations.

Science of life-ppt

  • 1. HINDUISM – SATYAMEVA JAYATE  Hinduism or Sanatana Dharma stands for Truth and only Truth.  Albert Einstein, Erwin Schrödinger, Robert Oppenheimer, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Schopenhauer and many more western scientists and philosophers were ardent vendatis.  We should learn, understand and respect our timeless culture. “In the morning I bathe my intellect in the stupendous and cosmogonal philosophy of the Bhagavat Geeta, since whose composition years of the gods have elapsed, and in comparison with which our modern world and its literature seem puny and trivial” – Henry David Throreau "Land of religions, cradle of human race, birthplace of human speech, grandmother of legend, great grandmother of tradition. The land that all men desire to see and having seen once even by a glimpse, would not give that glimpse for the shows of the rest of the globe combined."– Mark Twain "Access to the Vedas is the greatest privilege this century may claim over all previous centuries.“ – Robert J Oppenheimer
  • 2. Creates Galaxies, Stars and Planets with PanchaBhutas: Air, Fire, Water, Soil and Space. One day of Brahma = 864 crore human years One human day = 86,400 seconds. His time cycle is 432 crore human years. He created Earth 432 crore years ago as stated in our puranas. Today Earth is estimated to be 4.3 billion (430 crore) years old. BRAHMA (CREATOR) He is Narayana. Nara is the water in the cosmic egg (HiranyaGarbha) the explosion of which results in the expanding BrahmaAnda (Universe). Ayana is to move as in UttarAyana and DakshinAyana of Sun across the equator. Ramanyana is epic of the movement of Shri Ram from one place to another. Hence Narayana is the source of life and he moves in the water element of the Universe. Life springs from Water. MAHAVISHNU (SUSTAINER) Shiva Tandav sustains the expanding Universe - BrahmaAnda. The universe is egg shaped and is expanding. BRAHM = Expand ANDA = Egg At some point in time and space the universe will stop expanding and start shrinking causing MahaPralaya or dissolution. MAHESHWARA (DESTROYER) HINDUISM – TRIMURTHY

Rig Veda talks of its explosion (Brahmanda Vispotak). Western Scientists call this The BIG BANG. OM is the sound of this explosion. It contains 5 elements: Air, Water, Fire, Soil and Space. HiranyaGarbha expands and is called BrahmaAnda literally meaning - Expanding Egg Brahma created all the Galaxies in the BrahmaAnda (Universe) using Air, Water, Fire, Soil and Space. Brahma created our home Galaxy Milky Way and stars in it. Of which The Sun is a star and was created 500 Crore years ago. Brahma created our planet Earth 432 crore human years ago. Here all Five Elements(Pancha Bhutas) are found in one place. No where else can we find them together.
  • 5. 5 headed serpent represents 5 elements: Air, Water, Fire, Space and Land. It is called AdiSesha or AnantNag. The theory was not, like modern doctrine of evolution, based wholly on observation and a scientific enquiry into fact but was a rather (as some other matters) an act of brilliant intuition in which observation may also have had some part. – Sir John Woodroffe Fish in Water Tortoise Amphibian Vertibrae and 4 legs Lion – bigger animal Vertical Backbone upon 2 legs Early Man Refined Man Agrarian Society . • 7. Lord Shiva dissolves the universe only to be produced again. SHIVA means SHariram(Body) – Ishwari (Energy) – VAyu (Air). Withouth Ishwari or Shakthi we become SHAVAM. Hence he is the destroyer. Lord Shiva is the Potential energy. He maintains the current state of expansion of universe until he dissolves it. MAHESHWARA Parvathi Mata is Shakti. She is the Kinetic energy. Shakti means energy. She is ferocious energy in the form of KAALI and benign energy in the form of AMBA. The many forms of Amba are because there are many forms of energy. • 8. Nataraja (Shiva Tandavam) Egg shaped Universe and the rim of Lord Nataraja (Shiva Tandav) statue signify expanding universe due to cosmic dance of Lord Shiva. When he shifts his leg the shrinking of the universe will take place. Hence he is the destroyer. BrahmaAnda HINDUISM–SHIVA TANDAVA & UNIVERSE Egg shaped Universe – Picture released by European Space Agency (ESA ) on 6 July 2010 The collection of all galaxies at the central axis of Ellipse will be seen as a Column of light as shown in the picture of Universe. This is what our Rishis have recorded in puranas. Jyothi means light and Linga means Column OR Pillar and hence JYOTHILINGA. Therefore Shiva has No beginning(ADI) or end (ANTH). Edwin Hubble (Hubble’s Telescope) in his observations states that the universe is expanding at a tremendouse rate. So the Universe has no beginning or end. He is called NeelaKanda. ThiruAnnamalai Temple in Tamil Nadu signifies this truth. This temple represents Fire component of Pancha Bootha ( 5 Elements). Western Science Tows The Same Line

  • 11. This why on a Solar Ecilpse day we find the Moon completely closing the Sun. They both appear as same sized objects to us from the Earth. This appearance is due to the ratio : 108 This ratio ensures both Moon and Sun appear of the same size to us on Earth. The ratio is a Sruti(absolute truth). Hence if this ratio is violated the system will be destroyed. Likewise human beings must also maintain harmony like the planets do HINDUISM – SIGNIFICANCE OF 108 Diameter of SUN Diameter of MOON Distance between MOON and EARTH = 108 X Diameter of MOON Distance between SUNand EARTH = 108 X Diameter of SUN Western Science Tows The Same Line
  • 12. In India we have been doing ThoppiKarnam before Sri Ganapathi for thousands of years. However in the US they have recently patented this as SUPER BRAIN YOGA. We are loosing many of our treasures due to ignorance. Twitching the right ear lobe activates Left Brain and improves Logical thinking Twitching the left ear lobe activates Right Brain and improves Creative thinking In Gurukula System of education our ancestors never canned or gave corporal punishment. Students were asked to do Thoppikarnam to balance brain growth. One-sided growth leads to Egoism and Arrogance. That is why before we enter a temple we do this to reduce our ego. • 13. HINDUISM – DID YOU KNOW? Turmeric is a natural anti- septic. It has been used in India as part of Ayurveda. It is part of Indian diet too. It keeps bacterial infections away. It is so important in keeping the good health of the Woman of the family that our ancestors wore Thaali(Mangalsudra) with Turmeric thread. Turmeric was applied to the thread every Friday to keep infections away. Neem grows predominantly in the Indian subcontinent. It has powerful anti- bacterial properties. As the South-West monsoon sets in India the festival season starts. People wear cotton clothes drenched in Turmeric and Neem to keep them healthy during rainy season Poojas in India are never done without Camphor. It has high anti-microbial properties. All common cold medicines have camphor in it. People do not touch the fire but inhale the vapour of the burning camphor in Aarthi. It has been a tradition everywhere in India while someone from the family comes from a trip or tour the mother of family does Aarthi. It was essentially done as a sterilizing act using camphor, turmeric and betel leaf(anti-bacterial). The health of family is mother’s responsibility. Hence the person was sterilized before entering the house as there could have been epidemics /infections elsewhere. Who can forget Swine flue in 2009? It is also notable that very few died in India compared to the number of deaths in developed nations.
