School health service is a branch of community health which provides promotive , preventive & curative health care services to the school children. Following the preparation of a Master plan, in 1993 for the development of a comprehensive school health programme. The project was signed in June 1996 for the implementation of School Health Pilot Project (S.H.P.P) in 4 districts under the World Bank.
