Starlink is a satellite constellation system created by SpaceX that aims to provide global high-speed internet coverage. It uses a network of satellites in low Earth orbit to beam internet coverage to users around the world, especially in remote areas where traditional internet access is unreliable or nonexistent. Starlink uses satellites equipped with powerful antennas, laser connections, and ion thrusters. So far SpaceX has launched over 950 Starlink satellites across 16 launches to begin offering broadband internet coverage through this innovative new satellite system.
Starlink is a satellite internet constellation being constructed by SpaceX providing satellite Internet access. The constellation will consist of thousands of mass-produced small satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO), working in combination with ground transceivers.

Satellite internet offers high-speed data service from a geostationary satellite located at a distance of 22,300 miles above the equator of the earth. This service enables the users to transmit and receive data from a dish via a location on Earth called the Network Operations Center (NOC). The NOC will be connected to the internet and all communications from the satellite dish at the user side to the geostationary satellite will flow through them, before reaching the internet.

Wireless network (cellular network architecture and http.)Abdullah Moin
Cellular architecture is constituted of the following − A network of cells each with a base station. A packet-switched network for communication between the base stations and mobile switching centres. The public switched telephone networks to connect subscribers to the wider telephony network.
In all cellular systems, land area is divided into a number of cells each with its radio service. In AMPS the area is large which in digital services, the area is much smaller. Conventionally cells are hexagonal in shape. Each cell uses a frequency range that is not used by its adjacent cells. However, frequencies may be reused in non-adjacent cells.
In this Presentation explained about the Unit 5 - 4G Networks and Beyond concepts for third year ECE students, which makes very clear to understand all the Generation networks and its features and applications. Hope it will be useful to all student community.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

2. INTRODUCTION
SATELLITE INTERNET:
Satellite Internet is the process of accessing
the Internet with the help of communication
satellites, usually geostationary satellites.
Satellite Internet is location independent and
the connection could be taken anywhere as it
provides global coverage. It is the ideal
Internet access in places where quality of
access is unreliable or poor or places where
Internet access is unavailable.
3. What is STARLINK ?
Starlink is a satellite constellation
system that aims to deliver global
internet coverage. This system is
ideally suited for rural and
geographically isolated areas where
internet connectivity is unreliable or
nonexistent.
4. NECESSITY
• Promises stable internet service.
• Ability to provide internet in remoteareas.
• To overcome drawbacks of ground internet
service
5. StarLink compromises of fourfundamental
technologies:
• Computer Networking
• Rocket Technology
• Satellite Technology
• Laser Communication
TECHNICAL STACK
6.
7. Satellite consist of
1.Four Powerful antennas for
internet transmissions
2. Laser connection
3. Ion thrusters
9. ADVANTAGES OF STARLINK
• The main advantage of this is the global broadband internet.
• After installed, it has ability to access the internet from any
part of the planet.
• It will also help in communication with the settlements on
mars as planned by the company.
• Starlink will be faster than the under sea fibre optic cables
that carry internet traffic world wide today.
• Starlink users would still have constant communication when
bad weather strikes.
10. CONCLUSION
This satellite internet service will bring revolution in internet speed and a massive
development in service sector field, education field, etc. Spacex's vision is to bring
more such technology like starlink which will be very helpful for the human being
in the world.
