The Years 1918-1939, Which Separate World War I From
World
The years 1918 1939, which separate World War I from World War II, witnessed
profound changes in how technologically advanced military organizations would
fight. In most of the cases, during peacetime, military innovation, and technological
developments played an empowering or helping role in advancing profoundly new
and more operative ways of fighting. In a narrow and strict sense, such innovative
improvements were revolutionary. The technological revolution reached the
battlefields and forever changed the way that armies required from the fragile
airplanes and unreliable tanks of World War Ito evolve into more sophisticated
weapons by the late 1930s. Amount military innovations which influence the inter war
period, we will focus our... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These principles are known as Die Truppenfuhrung and shaped the framework for the
preparation and conduct of ground operations during World War II. This studies
emphasized friction and uncertainty. It requires responsibility and exercises judgment
for junior officers in the battlefield. It also focuses on the greater use of armored
combined to army capabilities on maneuver. Consequently, to the influence of World
War I boosted Germany to develop early by the 1920s the coherent combined arms
doctrine that focused on decentralization command and control or mission type
orders, speeding, surprising, or the aggressive exploitation of every weakness in
enemy defensive systems.
One of the lessons learned after the first world conflict is the necessity of using the
third dimension on military operations. That assumption has been conceptualizing
by theorist through doctrine and implements differently from one country to
another. The doctrine concerning air force warfare was a direct influence of World
War I as a revolution on this domain. The challenge of many military theorists
concerned the emergence of the aircraft as a weapon and the adaptation of this
emerging capability on military operations. One of the Airpower advocates Giulio
Douhet consider the airpower as a tool to use to avoid trench warfare and
dramatically shorten wars. Thus, aircraft would attack an enemy s sources of assets
and it is the key to destroying the
How to Prepare Moistened Chicken
How to Make the Moistest Chicken Chicken is my most favorite item to cook. Any
piece dark or white meat puts a smile on my face and belly. The difference in the
way one cooks chicken, makes it taste amazing or just alright. My family usually
bakes chicken, but on special occasions we have fried chicken. This paper will give
clear and concise instructions on how to make the perfect baked whole chicken.
The first step in making whole chicken is the necessary ingredients. Go to the
grocery store and purchase the biggest whole chicken in the store because it will
definitely shrink. A small whole chicken may look very cute, but it will not be
enough to feed 4 people. A technique that my family uses to make whole chicken is
brining. To make the brine spicy, the following items need to be bought if not at
home; cinnamon, cardamom, black peppercorns, dried red peppers, vegetable,
chicken stock, and a bag of ice to give the chicken a great flavor. After the
ingredients are picked up from the grocery store, there needs to be a place in the
kitchen where you can lay all the items bought from the store so they are easily
visible. Pull out all the items from the grocery bags and lay them on an open spot.
Place the chicken on a cookie sheet so it can be in room temperature if the chicken
is frozen. Before the chicken is actually baked, the brine needs to be made. Grab a
large pot which is available in the kitchen. Pour in half of the vegetable and chicken
stock into the pan. Also, add
FIFA s Not So Objective Role in Football
FIFA s Not So Objective Role in Football Football has always historically been
known as the most played, most loved, and most influential sport in the world. The
history of football, which was first played by the ancient Greeks and Romans, is a
long one that has played some role in shaping almost every country s culture as we
know it today. The game of football is seen by many as a game that has the rare
power to bring nations together. Football is a language that every nation can speak,

The World Cup allows countries to display their nationalism in supporting their
countries team, but to also show how the game of football is a language that we all
speak regardless of your religion, language, political views, and culture. The
objectivity of FIFA on picking the location of recent World Cups has brought FIFA
and its president Sepp Blatter under heavy criticism. FIFA has specifically been
criticized regarding the role of politics in objectively picking each World Cup s
location (Plaja, Steffi). Objectively picking a World Cup location requires specific
criteria for a location to be considered, some countries just do not have the
infrastructure among other criteria to host the World Cup. As a non governmental
organization, FIFA is required to hold a political objectivity when choosing the
location for each World Cup. Recent allegations of corruption in the location
selection process have brought FIFA s highest members under heavy criticism.
FIFA s current selection process allows countries who want to host the World Cup
to submit bids to FIFA. The bidding process allows for politics to become heavily
integrated into the overall selection process (Plaja, Steffi). Allowing countries to bid
for the ability to host the World Cup provides some countries with a significant
advantage over others to win the bid. FIFA s bidding process has allowed politics
Inception Film Analysis
The Dark Knight wasn t the only time that Nolan was inspired by art on how to
express his story cinematically. His film Inception features a classic optical illusion
called the Penrose staircase (impossible staircase), which folds back upon itself in
space. The only job that was ever of interest to me other than filmmaking is
architecture . Inception is a heist movie, but heist movies are usually unemotional.
They tend to be glamourous and deliberately superficial. Nolan wanted to deliver a
more emotional narrative, instead of the usual heist story where the hero s journey
and the heist are based around the MacGuffin (the desired object), they were instead
based on emotion. Part of that emotion came from M.C. Escher s Ascending and...

In Ascending and Descending its whether the monks will ever ascend or if the two
down below will choose to conform. Nolan used those what if questions to
construct his world, and in one the films sequences you can really see Escher s
influence on Nolan, Are you really sure that a floor can t also be a ceiling? (M.C.
Escher). In the scene, the staircase is introduced by Arthur (Joseph Gordon Levitt)
to Ariadne (Ellen Page) to construct a never ending dreamscape within an otherwise
finite world. While impossible to build on our real world, it has not stopped
people from depicting this illusion, I have always been fascinated by the idea that
your mind, when you are asleep, can create a world in a dream and you are
perceiving it as though it really existed . In both scenes the steps forever carry the
traveler(s) upward in a loop. When you re looking at these works, there are four
ways you can interpret them: the most real, mostly real, mostly dream, and full
dream. Most real, Cobbs wife is dead, and he can return to his family in reality. The
monks are climbing a destroyed building and don t realize it. Mostly real, Cobb is
stuck in limbo and does not make it back to his children. The monks are trapped on
a destroyed staircase. Mostly dream, what Cobb thinks is reality is reality, but when
he tries a sedative he gets trapped in a

Role Of The Financial Manager On Today s Business
World...
The role of the financial Manager in today s business world has been rapidly
changing. The change is fuelled by technology innovation in particularly, digital
technology and increasing information processing power. Since the financial crisis in
2008, firms have been working to restructure their operations as a means of survival.
This has led to the modification of many managementroles, more so the role of the
Chief Financial Officer(CFO). As a means for survival, firms started by cutting on
costs, becoming more lean and efficient. However, today there is no more room for
cutting on costs and firms have been looking to growth as a way to increase
profitability. Growth comes with new uncertainties and challenges which financial
managers have to consider when making their financial decisions. These new
macroeconomic challenges facing the financefunction include: Regulation,
Globalization, Technology, Risk, Transformation, Stakeholder management, strategy,
reporting, and Talent and capability. This paper will provide an analysis and
evaluation of the challenges facing finance managers in a changing macroeconomic
environment, the changes firms are making to the Chief Finance Officer s role, the
impact these changes are making to the firms performance and how these changes
impact the role of financial managers and the consequences of the changes CFOs
make to curb these new challenges.

The Series Of The Family Produced By Norman Milton
The series All in the Family produced by Norman Milton Lear from 1971 1979 is
one of the most controversial and groundbreaking television shows ever created.
The successful sitcom has covered many touchy subjects involving race, ethnicity,
homosexuality, rape, and religious beliefs. Towards the end of the third season,
episode 20 which was called Archie is Branded , aired on February 24th 1973
touched many subjects that were heavily debated on the fact of whether or not it was
appropriate to air on live television. The lead male characters Mike and Archie get in
a heated argument about the VietnamWar. This sensitive subject caused and led
several additional current historical issues and events.
The original hit show, All in the Familyfeaturing Carroll O Connor (Archie), Jean
Stapleton (Edith), Rob Reiner (Michael) and Sally Struthers, (Gloria) is an
American sitcom that challenges numerous controversial topics during its era. This
specific episode Archie s Branded aired on February 24th 1973 and was about the
bunker family being branded with a swastika painted on their front door. When
going to retrieve the news paper, opening the door, Archie, realizes someone has
painted a swastika on his door with a note that said, This
DeMark 2 swastika was just the beginning, we ll be back . After receiving such a
serious threat from this anonymous person/persons, Archie and the others decided to

The Who Counterculture
The British invasion was responsible for internationalizing rock and roll, and has
managed to influence musical artists to this day. This musical movement of the mid
1960 s was composed of British groups combining the rebellious tone and image of
American music, with their own British style. I believe this music pushed free speech
to new heights in America. Music of this time period was revolutionary and
expressive, and transports me to an inspiring generation that existed before my time.

The bass and drums then join in, followed by the vocals of Mick Jagger calmly
repeating the title of the song. The song has a rebellious tone as Jagger increasingly
sings with more force loudly with sexual inferences and protests. The tambourine,
electric guitar, drums, and electric bass capture the rebellious spirit, as the chords of
the song alternate between four simple chords. The lyrics are repetitive and simple
and often connect with Richards significant guitar moments. The texture is
homophonic with background vocalists and instruments accompanying the lead
singer. The song ends as it begins, with the words I can t get no satisfaction yet now

The Subculture I Choose Is Vampire Lifestyle
This essay is talk about the culture. The subculture I choose is Vampire Lifestyle. In
this essay, I will talk about the theoretical perspective, what is culture and how it
connect with counter culture, how it has been affected by the consumerism and how
it held together by the cultural capital. I choose the symbolic interactionism for my
theoretical perspective. From sociological perspective, symbolic interactionism most
concerned with the face to face interaction between members of society. Symbolic
interaction reminds us that cultureis a human creation. In society, culture consists of
the shared symbols and their definitions that people create to solve real life problems.
Culture define in many words. For example, particular patterns of behavior, the
symbol, language, and way the people things, etc. My main point is symbol. Symbol
is concert objet or abstract term. In another word, the meaning of the symbol is
something that represent something. Culture is the primary means by which human
adapt to their environment (page no.69). In reality, we create culture to solve our real
life problems. There are three survival kits for culture. They are abstraction,
cooperation and production. But, my focus is on the first two. Abstraction means
ability to create general concepts that organize sensory experience in meaningful way.
Abstraction is most pervasive type of symbol in human culture. Language is also an

My Speech On My Life
We have been just sitting here, we have not said much. I feel so much better in this
moment in time. I don t need friends or even someone to talk to. I am fine the way
I am, the only wish I had was just to not be alone. I will be fine as long I have
someone next to me. That person does not have to talk, they can just sit here next
to me like yoongi is. I fine with that, I get so needy and out of control when I am
left alone. I start wanting things I know I can t have. I start to feel things that I
know will never happen. namjoon I know you don t talk much, but just know that
you talk to me about anything. I will listen to you, and won t judge you I promise.

know what I wantto do yoongi. I want to fly away, to be a star in the sky. Everything
just seems better up there in the sky. There are nice and fluffy clouds, there are
birds with the freedom to fly away. At night there are so many other stars and the
moon. up their I would never be alone. Up there nothing can touch me, up there
nothing can hurt me. I want to forever live in the sky, it is better than this world or

The Positive Relationship Between Inflation And Inflation
Some variables in Economics are very closely related to each other. In many cases,
the combination of these variables can have an unexpected effect on the economy.
One of these examples can be observed when we compare inflation and
unemployment rate. To establish this comparison in a short run period of time, it
will be beneficial to use the Phillip Curve. This curve can be used as a tool to
represent the positive relationship between inflationand unemployment in the short
run. In order to comprehend the positive relationship between inflation and
unemployment first, we must know what inflation is, how we define unemployment,
and how we can use the Phillip Curve to make a functional comparison of these two
variables. Moreover, it will be very beneficial to analyze how expansionary fiscal
policies affect the relationship between unemployment and inflation. If we understand
the meaning of each of these variables in the economy, it will be easier to
comprehend the logic of a short run trade off between unemployment and inflation.
Inflation can be described as the sustained increase in the level price of goods and
services over a period of time. Inflation can affect the economy in positive and
negative ways. One of the negative ways in which inflation affects the economy is
that it increases the opportunity cost of holding money, in other words, it decreases
the real value of money. Inflation is said to occur when there is an excessive increase
in the money supply. Among
Divine Relationality In The Christian Tradition Summary
Chapter 5: Divine Relationality in the Christian Tradition (Consonance with Tradition)
5.1 Introduction. In this chapter, the author seeks to discover whether or not a risk
taking providence is in harmony with the theological traditions of the church by
examining the thoughts of various theologians. Additionally, he intends to show that
dynamic omniscience is in consonance with the purpose of the doctrine of exhaustive
foreknowledge in the freewill tradition (141).
5.2 Some Early Fathers. Dr. Sanders explores the thoughts of the early fathers , who
for the most part lived in a world dominated by the Greek thinkers and therefore
reflects many of the thoughts that were held by those thinkers. In spite of the stoic
beliefs held by the Greeks, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Here, the author defines relational theism as one that affirms that God is indeed a
personal God who enters into a reciprocal relationship with his creatures. This view
describes attributes that stand totally opposite of the classical theism view and is
supported by numerous notable Protestant theologians and Roman Catholics and to
some degree, by Easton orthodox.
5.7 Proponents of Dynamic Omniscience. The author says some theologians in the
freewill tradition generally support Dynamic Omniscience as it relates to divine
relationality. They believe God s knowledge and responses are caused by what He
sees in his creation; however, other theologians claim that Dynamic Omniscience had
its roots in heretics and the beliefs of non Christians. The author said the one who
made these claims, Millard Erikson, reported flawed information.
5.8 Conclusion. The author states that among various theologians, there is a lack of
uniformity in views as related to a reciprocal relationship between God and humans.
Some theologians allow some place for divine conditionality while others are either
inconsistent on the subject or simply outright reject it; however, the model proposed
here found significant agreement among both Eastern and Western theological
The Gospel Of Matthew, The Infancy Narrative
In the Gospel of Matthew, the infancy narrative contributes a large sum of
background information of Jesus that contributes to the development of Matthew s
Christology. In order to analyze how Matthew develops the Christology, we have to
cut the infancy narrative into sections. This paper will discuss background
information of the writing of this Gospel, literary elements of Jesusmiraculous
conception that reinforce his Jewishness, how Magi and literary devices help to
understand Matthew s Christology, what important biblical hero the infancy narrative
parallels, and what foreshadowing is caused from this infancy narrative.
Comparatively, the use of divine intervention in dreams to fulfill prophecy has been a
key focus of the infancy narrative in order to create an unusual birth narrative and
develop the unique Christology that Matthew envisioned specifically for the Jewish
Messiah.
When studying the Gospel of Matthew, Scholars have dated the book to be written
sometime between the ages of 80 and 90 CE. Scholars have also estimated the
book to have been written somewhere outside of Palestine, potentially in Antioch,
Syria. Antioch was a very wealthy and educated area with a large Jewish
community (Study Bible, 1665 1667). From what evidence permits, it s estimated
that the whole purpose of the gospel was meant as a means of correcting the Gospel
of Mark by emphasizing the Jewishness of Jesus as the glorious Messiah of the Jews.

A Simple Plan vs The Pardoners Tale
Comparative Study The Pardoners Tale vs A Simple Plan Although the settings are
very different, one taking place in 14th century Scotland and the other in modern
day America, the ideas of both texts are similar, Radix Natorum est Cupi datas ,
meaning greed is the root of all evil . The transformation of The Pardoners Tale into
A Simple Plan has allowed Raimi to demonstrate that despite the new values
emerging in the new context, the human condition is essentially unchanged as it
always remains vulnerable to avarice. Both tales exhibit this idea from different
perspectives to relfect the values of their context. The Pardoners Tale reflects a
religious society where sin is punished by God whereas A Simple Plan depicts a

Budweiser Commercial
Someone Waits for You At Home, Don t Drink and Drive I have chosen to do my
analysis on a Budweiser commercial titled Someone Waits For You At Home, Don

main focus is not the beer, its main focus is to promote consumers to make
responsible decisions whenever they drink. The advertisement s main appeal is
pathos because it makes the viewer think of how awful it would be if someone they

The Causes Of The Zodiac Killer
The first murders widely attributed to the Zodiac Killer were the shootings of high
school students Betty Lou Jensen and David Faraday on December 20, 1968, on
Lake Herman Road, just inside Benicia city limits. Shortly after 11:00 p.m. their
bodies were found. Robert Graysmith postulated that another car pulled into the
turnout, just prior to 11:00 pm and parked beside the couple. Jensen appeared to
have exited the car first, yet when Faraday was halfway out, the killer apparently
shot Faraday in the head. Fleeing from the killer, Jensen was gunned down twenty
eight feet from the car with five shots through her back. The killer then drove off.
Just before midnight on July 4, 1969, Darlene Ferrin and Michael Mageau drove
into the Blue Rock Springs Park in Vallejo, four miles from the Lake Herman Road
murder site. A second car drove into the lot and parked alongside them but almost
immediately drove away. Returning about 10 minutes later, this second car parked
behind them. The driver of the second car then exited the vehicle, approaching the
passenger side door of Ferrin s car, carrying a flashlight and a 9 mm Luger. The
killer directed the flashlight into Mageau s and Ferrin s eyes before shooting at
them, firing five times. Both victims were hit, and several bullets had passed
through Mageau and into Ferrin. The killer walked away from the car but upon
hearing Mageau s moaning, returned and shot each victim twice more before driving
off. Ferrin was pronounced dead at the
Advantages And Disadvantages Of LED
Domestic demand conditions are important for gaining a competitive advantage
under pressure of sophisticated or early buyer needs from local consumers. High
domestic demand keeps companies innovating and improving, encouraging
competitive advantage over foreign rivals.
Related and supporting industries create a multiplier effect alongside strong domestic
industries and create clusters that encourage specialization in specific regions and
sectors. Advantage is gained through both cost and time effective local supply
chains, social capital, flexibility in joint research and development (R D) and a web

As well as challenging the idea of prioritizing international integration in developing
countries. Thus, in this paper I will try to balance the ideas of the research without
leading to one sided presentation of benefits that developing countries can access.
Review of literature and conceptual framework
LED has been practiced in industrialized countries for many decades. Since 1990
many developing countries, especially in Latin America and South Africa, have
passed legislation to encourage LED activity. Despite this no single academic
discipline has developed that conceptualizes the framework of LED. Elements of
LED encompass several disciplines such as the economics of geography, sociology
and regions as well as urban planning (Meyer Stamer, 2005b).
In both academic and practical terms, LED has plenty of scope for growth. There
remains a misunderstanding of the concept of LED, as seen in the view that LED
should be organized and conducted under the auspices of central or regional
government authority. LED, in actuality, should be understood as a process and set
of activities by local stakeholders that aims to generate income and growth for local

Siamese cats are a beautiful work of art that have survived since the 14th century.
Siamese cats originate from Thailand and are one of the oldest oriental/Asian cat

James Joyce s Araby And John Updike s A P
James Joyce s Araby and John Updike s A P are two stories which, in spite of their
many differences, share many similarities in their endings. The primary focus of both
of these initiation stories revolves around adolescent protagonists who come into
conflict with their unrealistic expectations of women and their societies. Although the
boys use different approaches in pursuit of their ideal, both narrators face a radical
shift in their attitudes as they transit into adulthood.
The protagonists in both stories are ultimately faced with the harsh and shattering
reality that the girls have no desire for their company. In Araby , the young boyaims
to impress his friend s older sister by going to the bazaar and buying her something.
However, when he visits one of the bazaar s stalls, the owner who is an English
woman seemed to have spoken to [him] out of a sense of duty (45). Realizing that
in the eye of Mangan s sister, he is just the little brother s friend whose chivalrous
actions go unnoticed, he leaves without buying anything. Similarly, Sammy in A P
tries to win the attention of the three girls by saying I quit (92) after the store
manager rebukes the girls for their indecent dress. The girls, however, ignore Sammy
s heroic gesture and leave the store. Failing to win the heart or attention of their
respective love interest despite their best efforts, each character experiences great
despair at the end of the story.

Just the thought of the word cancer strikes fear into the hearts of even the most
hardened of us. In excess of over 300,000 people were diagnosed with cancer back in
2011 according to statistics published on the cancer research website. Nearly 400 per
100,000 people in the UK alone were diagnosed with some variant of cancer in 2011,
with lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer and bowel cancer topping the
charts. Of all the people diagnosed with cancer in 2012, just over 161,000 died with
on average every 168 in 100,000 people falling victim. Cancer doesn t discriminate
in who gets the disease, but over half the people diagnosed in 2011 survived for
more than 10 years with the disease, with cancer survival rates higher in women
then in men and cancer survival improving in general in the UK over the past 40
years (Cancer Research UK). In this essay, I am going to be talking about
angiosuppressive agents and what their potential use in the treatment of cancer with
reference to what cancer is and going into a bit of detail about it.

uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in any part of the body. There are more than
100 different types of cancer, which each type of cancer being named after the organ

Dress Code: The Restriction of Expression

Cell phones cause a greater distraction in the learning environment, so does that
mean that they will create a policy to forbid the use of cell phones in class. Cell
phones are a necessity in everyday life as so are clothes. Dressing in patterns and
printed shirts in the real world does not make for inappropriate attire in the real
world . As stated in the Baldwin High School handbook, Students not wearing a BHS
school shirt shall wear a solid colored sleeved shirt or sleeved dress... (Standards for
Dress), it clearly states the inability to use a patterned shirt. As these guidelines are
quite vague, students have interpreted this guideline as to wearing a solid colored
shirt that is color blocked. Solid colored shirts but with two different colors on it,
shall not be needed to have consequences. Without a clear explanation before the
dress code violation, students have the right to dress in the solid colored shirts.
Most of these dress code policies only adhere to the female student body. Females
make up of the students being dress coded due to the fact that females are
distractions to the male staff and students, not the learning process. To those
educators who claim that dress code is needed in a high school to stop bullying and
create a more equal student body has to realize that students are not just judging each

Cons And Cons Of Social Media
Pros and cons of social media Cheat Sheet At this point we all know that social
media is a major asset to marketers, but what exactly are the pros and cons of each?
In this post I talk about just that, for the big 6 social media platforms! Instagram
Instagram has 400+ million active monthly users which is 20% of internet users
and the vast majority (90%) of these are under 35. IT s a mobile app that lets users
share photos and short videos. Pros: Easy and intuitive UI, minimal text on posts
and no links to outside content. It also has very high user engagement on average,
when compared to Facebook and Twitter. Cons: Less personal engagement that
other networks, and as mentioned in a previous post They have a dire lack of
social sharing available for content, making it difficult for your content to be
spread. Twitter Twitter has an average of 307 million monthly users and is a
microblogging site that allows users to write posts up to 140 characters and
include videos, images, and links. Twitter is rather unique as it allows you to easily
connect with celebrities and influencers. Pros: Instant news source and live feed
which is constantly updating, as well as allowing easy access to public icons. Cons:
If you are following a large amount of users then the amount of content which is
constantly being thrown at you can be hard to sift through for actually valuable
content. Facebook The oldest social network on this list but by no means the worst.

Essay On Hairy Leukoplakia
The human oral cavity is prone to many lesions that can occur due to, diseases, injury,
age or genetics. Five lesions that occurred in the human mouth are: hairy leukoplakia,
lingual varicosities, traumatic ulceration, bifid tongue, and macroglossia. Some of
these lesions can be benign or malignant depending on its etiology, and how treatable
the lesion is once it has been spotted at the mouth.
The first lesion is the hairy leukoplakia. Its name comes from its white/gray hair
like patch texture on the tongue, gums, roof of the mouth, or buccal. The hairy
leukoplakia is a nonthreatening disease mainly caused by a poor immune system or
a person who is HIV/AIDS positive. The hairy leukoplakia disease can be treated in
a few weeks by taking antiviral medication, and antiretroviral medication, which can
help treat the infection as well as stop it from spreading. If the medication does not
take an effect, a Dentist could recommend oral surgery to remove the lesion,
(Drescher).

yellow, with a white border, which shows where the trauma was caused. A
traumatic ulcerations are considered the most common oral ulcerations, and can
cause pain in the mouth due to certain foods or touch. The way to treat a traumatic
ulceration, all depends on what kind of injury caused the ulcer. If biting or a hot
food/ beverage caused the ulcer it would cure on its own in a couple of weeks. If
chemicals caused the ulcer, preventing exposure to the caustic materials, would be

It s very similar for the HR team and I found that what I knew from managing the

What could be more important in any organisation than its people? I already had
my seat at the board, but when I took on HR, I knew I could use that seat to get the

The Chernobyl Disaster And The Fukushima Nuclear
Disaster
Uranium, which is the ninety second element on the periodic table, is a very
interesting element. The radioactive uranium is used in atomic bombs. Also, people
use it in what is called nuclear power, an energy source that fourteen percent of the
world uses. (NPR 3) In a nuclear power plant, a process called fission that uses
uraniumis used to generate power. During fission, each uranium atom is bombarded
by neutrons, causing each uranium atom to turn into one atom of barium, one atom
of krypton, and three neutrons. These three neutrons bombard other uranium atoms,
resulting in more neutrons being produced and creating a chain reaction. Each time
the uranium atom split, energy is released. The leftover atoms are called nuclear

As I mentioned before, uranium is used in atomic bombs. So, uranium mines are
very dangerous and nuclear power is not safe. Right? I disagree. Uranium mines
have created ways to reduce radiation levels to their workers whenever they can and
limits as how much radiation is allowed in a uranium mine. Also, people have spent
over forty years already creating safety regulations for uranium mines. Finally, there
is not enough uranium in a uranium mine for either of those to blow up like an
atomic bomb. (World Nuclear Association 4) As a result of these safety protections
during uranium mining, there has only been 371 deaths due to uranium mining
contamination between 1950 and 2000, which is an average of around only 7.42
deaths per year. (Motherboard 2) In comparison, coal mining had an average of 16

Examples Of Jealousy In My Last Duchess
In the poem My Last Duchess, love is portrayed as a very robust emotion. It is
never stated in the poem that the Duchess was killed, but the readers are able to
entail that is what happened. The Dutch was a very envious and controlling man,
with high status which is what the readers imply lead to the killing of the character
the Duchess. A major theme of the poem is jealousy which ended up in a murder, but
that should not include that Dutch did not love the Duchess, but that he did. It is
important to consider the definition of love and jealousy, under the Dutch s status,
and also if love is even a positive emotion. Oxford dictionaries defines love as an
intense feeling of deep affection. while Free dictionary defines jealous as ... Show

There she stands As if alive. After reading this one can imply that the Dutch has
had enough of the smiling at other men and the attention other men got and had

uses before that quote; E en then would be some stooping; and I choose Never to
stoop. Stoop is defined as to descend from a superior rank, dignity, or status. The
Dutch is a an old and wise man with power; more specifically nine hundred years
old. Which is an important factor to take into account when it comes to being able
to express one s emotion and being open to that kind of vulnerablility. One should be
able to see that these jealous feelings only come about because of his love towards
the Duchess. His hierarchical status does not permit him to express his true emotions.

Separations Of Powers In Australia Essay
In the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Australia, exists a doctrine called the
separation of powers. This doctrine exists to ensure that no single body of
government, is in a position to hold all the power in the nation, when making
decision s which can be detrimental to others. Yet at the same time Australia does not
use doctrine of separations of powers as strictly as other countries. It is the intention
of this essay to see how the doctrine of separations of power operates in Australia,
then compare it to another country. To see how it operates there and to view
differences and similarities which exist between these two countries.
To first understand why the doctrine of separations of powers operates differently
in Australia, we first must establish what exactly the Separations of powers is. As
such the Separations of Powers doctrine, can basically be expressed as separating
the three major bodies of government, to reduce the likelihood of one body
obtaining all the power in the government . The three bodies of government
comprise of: the Legislative, the Executive and the Judicial. The Legislative body
comprises up of parliament and their main role is to make the laws. The Executive

The Importance Of Hemp
Hemp has many ways it can put oxygen back into the air. One of the best ways it
can give us cleaner air, other than through the automotive industry, is by replacing
wood made paper with paper made from hemp. According to George Antonio from
Drexel University, until the 1880 s between 75% and 90% of paper was made with
hempfiber. Many major documents such as the first draft of the Declaration of
Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and even Benjamin Franklin s newspapers
were made from hemp paper. They utilized hemp for many reasons, and one of those
was to save us from deforestation, which is becoming a big problem for endangered
species and the state of our air. Hemp takes 90 120 days to mature while trees take 20
80 years. Since hemp was banned in 1937, 70% of America s natural forests have
been destroyed, and the demand for paper is only growing and is expected to double
in the next 20 30 years.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hemp paper can also be recycled up to 4 5 more times than paper made from trees,
but this isn t of much significance since hemp is easily renewable. Another
significant difference between hemp and wood is the cellulose. Almost any other
plant with a strong stalk is better suited for making paper, but the best plant is hemp
because it contains an impressive 85% cellulose while wood only contains 30%.
This may seem like a simple difference in percentages, but this actually brings about
many more damages to the environment. The remaining 70% of the wood is
extracted by toxic chemicals that pollute waterways and soil. Going hand in hand
with this water pollution is the dioxins and chlorine used for bleaching at tree paper

African Bushmen And Iroquois Creation Myths
Compare and Contrast: The African Bushmen Creation Myth and the Iroquois

All around the world are different kinds of creation myths on how earth, animals,
and life came to be. Not one creation myth is the same to another. Every single
creation myth is like a snowflake, unique in its own way. Creation myths can vary on
how earth and humanity were created, but all creation myths always have the concept
of life. The African Bushmen Creation Myth and Iroquois Creation Myth both are
alike and different in many ways. These myths are similar in the way of how each
paint a picture of creation. On the other hand, both are very different thus contrasting
each other like day and night. In this essay, I will be discussing the similarities and
differences in both The African Bushmen and Iroquois Creation Myths.
First, we will discuss and examine the similarity s in these creation myths. Both
myths have many shared themes throughout each story, as do lots of other variations
of Creation Myths. For example, some main similar points in these mythical stories
include, peaceful beginning, the importance of animals, punishment, and a bad/sad
story turning event. Similarly, both stories start out with the world being peaceful it
was stated that there was no pain, and everyone got along happily. Another major part
of both myths was how they observed the animals. Alike to the Iroquois people, the
African Bushmen hold a great respect for all animals. The

throughout the novel. The situations associate Amir and Hassan, the antagonist,

Secondly, another situation where the theme, abused of power and bullying, is
evidently portrayed is when the antagonist, Assef, bullies the neighbourhood kids
in Kabul. For instance, Amir indicates, His word was law, and if you needed a
little legal education, then those brass knuckles were just the right teaching tool,
(38). Amir is explaining how Assef abuses the power of being a bully and uses that
as an advantage to overpower the neighbourhood kids. This is relevant because in
this situation, Assef uses brass knuckles to teach people a lesson, which portrays
him as a bully who bullies kids. Furthermore, this quotation is interpreted as
symbolism because Assef is known for his stainless steel brass knuckles and this
symbolizes Assef s innate cruelty. Moreover, Assef also bullies Hassan in an
atrocious way. In addition, Amir states, Assef knelt behind Hassan, put his hands
on Hassan s hips and lifted his bare buttocks... Hassan didn t struggle. Didn t even
whimper, (75). Here, Amir describes Hassan getting raped by Assef. Assef is a
bully and since he is a Pashtun, he believes that Hassan is only a Hazara and he
feels no empathy towards him, which is evident because Assef is abusing his power
as a Pashtun; higher on the social ladder. Lastly, another situation in which the
theme, abuse of power and bullying, is evidently portrayed is when society s power
is abused and bullies Hazaras. Racial conflict is common, especially in Kabul, when

Finger print scanners for school libraries
Introduction
A finger print is unique for each individual. Using finger prints when students are
borrowing books from the library will ensure that a student does not use a fake
name, and this will reduce the number of books the library losses. The finger print
scanner will be connected to the school s library system, and will automatically

propagate and allow for the reaction to run to completion producing pure dimethyl
fumarate. The fact that this is a radical reaction also explains why the bromine
molecule is not added to the double bond, because the bromine radical is
terminated after the double bond is reformed. The carvone experiment was carried
out successfully as both enantiomers were put into a polarimeter and the direction
and angle that they rotate plane polarized light in. This allows for quantitative
explanation of why R and S isomers are designated as rotating in the left or right
direction (+ or ). Their was a slight variance in the magnitude of the angle, as they
should both be equal, however it is possible that temperature or concentration of the
samples contributed to this error. The qualitative analysis was successful in that both
the R and S enantiomers of the carvone oils displayed a distinctive, yet similar smell,
thus displaying that some enantiomers will have distinguishable odors. Therefore,
smell is a possible way to separate certain enantiomers as opposed to spending
thousands of dollars on special gas chromatography equipment to determine the
identity

The Years 1918-1939, Which Separate World War I From World The years 1918 1939, which separate World War I from World War II, witnessed profound changes in how technologically advanced military organizations would fight. In most of the cases, during peacetime, military innovation, and technological developments played an empowering or helping role in advancing profoundly new and more operative ways of fighting. In a narrow and strict sense, such innovative improvements were revolutionary. The technological revolution reached the battlefields and forever changed the way that armies required from the fragile airplanes and unreliable tanks of World War Ito evolve into more sophisticated weapons by the late 1930s. Amount military innovations which influence the inter war period, we will focus our... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These principles are known as Die Truppenfuhrung and shaped the framework for the preparation and conduct of ground operations during World War II. This studies emphasized friction and uncertainty. Consequently, to the influence of World War I boosted Germany to develop early by the 1920s the coherent combined arms doctrine that focused on decentralization command and control or mission type orders, speeding, surprising, or the aggressive exploitation of every weakness in enemy defensive systems. One of the lessons learned after the first world conflict is the necessity of using the third dimension on military operations. That assumption has been conceptualizing by theorist through doctrine and implements differently from one country to another. The doctrine concerning air force warfare was a direct influence of World War I as a revolution on this domain. The challenge of many military theorists concerned the emergence of the aircraft as a weapon and the adaptation of this emerging capability on military operations. One of the Airpower advocates Giulio Douhet consider the airpower as a tool to use to avoid trench warfare and dramatically shorten wars. Thus, aircraft would attack an enemy s sources of assets and it is the key to destroying the

The difference in the way one cooks chicken, makes it taste amazing or just alright. My family usually bakes chicken, but on special occasions we have fried chicken. This paper will give clear and concise instructions on how to make the perfect baked whole chicken. The first step in making whole chicken is the necessary ingredients. Go to the grocery store and purchase the biggest whole chicken in the store because it will definitely shrink. A small whole chicken may look very cute, but it will not be enough to feed 4 people. A technique that my family uses to make whole chicken is brining. To make the brine spicy, the following items need to be bought if not at home; cinnamon, cardamom, black peppercorns, dried red peppers, vegetable, chicken stock, and a bag of ice to give the chicken a great flavor. After the ingredients are picked up from the grocery store, there needs to be a place in the kitchen where you can lay all the items bought from the store so they are easily visible. Pull out all the items from the grocery bags and lay them on an open spot. Place the chicken on a cookie sheet so it can be in room temperature if the chicken is frozen. Before the chicken is actually baked, the brine needs to be made. Grab a large pot which is available in the kitchen. Pour in half of the vegetable and chicken stock into the pan. Also, add

The World Cup allows countries to display their nationalism in supporting their countries team, but to also show how the game of football is a language that we all speak regardless of your religion, language, political views, and culture. The objectivity of FIFA on picking the location of recent World Cups has brought FIFA and its president Sepp Blatter under heavy criticism. FIFA has specifically been criticized regarding the role of politics in objectively picking each World Cup s location (Plaja, Steffi). Objectively picking a World Cup location requires specific criteria for a location to be considered, some countries just do not have the infrastructure among other criteria to host the World Cup. As a non governmental organization, FIFA is required to hold a political objectivity when choosing the location for each World Cup. Recent allegations of corruption in the location selection process have brought FIFA s highest members under heavy criticism. FIFA s current selection process allows countries who want to host the World Cup to submit bids to FIFA. The bidding process allows for politics to become heavily integrated into the overall selection process (Plaja, Steffi). Allowing countries to bid for the ability to host the World Cup provides some countries with a significant advantage over others to win the bid. FIFA s bidding process has allowed politics
  • 5. Inception Film Analysis The Dark Knight wasn t the only time that Nolan was inspired by art on how to express his story cinematically. His film Inception features a classic optical illusion called the Penrose staircase (impossible staircase), which folds back upon itself in space. The only job that was ever of interest to me other than filmmaking is architecture . Inception is a heist movie, but heist movies are usually unemotional. They tend to be glamourous and deliberately superficial. Nolan wanted to deliver a more emotional narrative, instead of the usual heist story where the hero s journey and the heist are based around the MacGuffin (the desired object), they were instead based on emotion. Part of that emotion came from M.C. Escher s Ascending and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nolan used those what if questions to construct his world, and in one the films sequences you can really see Escher s influence on Nolan, Are you really sure that a floor can t also be a ceiling? (M.C. Escher). In the scene, the staircase is introduced by Arthur (Joseph Gordon Levitt) to Ariadne (Ellen Page) to construct a never ending dreamscape within an otherwise finite world. While impossible to build on our real world, it has not stopped people from depicting this illusion, I have always been fascinated by the idea that your mind, when you are asleep, can create a world in a dream and you are perceiving it as though it really existed . In both scenes the steps forever carry the traveler(s) upward in a loop. In this essay, I will talk about the theoretical perspective, what is culture and how it connect with counter culture, how it has been affected by the consumerism and how it held together by the cultural capital. I choose the symbolic interactionism for my theoretical perspective. From sociological perspective, symbolic interactionism most concerned with the face to face interaction between members of society. Symbolic interaction reminds us that cultureis a human creation. In society, culture consists of the shared symbols and their definitions that people create to solve real life problems. Culture define in many words. For example, particular patterns of behavior, the symbol, language, and way the people things, etc. My main point is symbol. Symbol is concert objet or abstract term. In another word, the meaning of the symbol is something that represent something. Culture is the primary means by which human adapt to their environment (page no.69). In reality, we create culture to solve our real life problems. There are three survival kits for culture. They are abstraction, cooperation and production. But, my focus is on the first two. Abstraction means ability to create general concepts that organize sensory experience in meaningful way. Abstraction is most pervasive type of symbol in human culture. • 14. The Positive Relationship Between Inflation And Inflation Some variables in Economics are very closely related to each other. In many cases, the combination of these variables can have an unexpected effect on the economy. One of these examples can be observed when we compare inflation and unemployment rate. To establish this comparison in a short run period of time, it will be beneficial to use the Phillip Curve. This curve can be used as a tool to represent the positive relationship between inflationand unemployment in the short run. In order to comprehend the positive relationship between inflation and unemployment first, we must know what inflation is, how we define unemployment, and how we can use the Phillip Curve to make a functional comparison of these two variables. Moreover, it will be very beneficial to analyze how expansionary fiscal policies affect the relationship between unemployment and inflation. If we understand the meaning of each of these variables in the economy, it will be easier to comprehend the logic of a short run trade off between unemployment and inflation. Inflation can be described as the sustained increase in the level price of goods and services over a period of time. Inflation can affect the economy in positive and negative ways. One of the negative ways in which inflation affects the economy is that it increases the opportunity cost of holding money, in other words, it decreases the real value of money. Inflation is said to occur when there is an excessive increase in the money supply. Among

In this chapter, the author seeks to discover whether or not a risk taking providence is in harmony with the theological traditions of the church by examining the thoughts of various theologians. Additionally, he intends to show that dynamic omniscience is in consonance with the purpose of the doctrine of exhaustive foreknowledge in the freewill tradition (141). 5.2 Some Early Fathers. Dr. Sanders explores the thoughts of the early fathers , who for the most part lived in a world dominated by the Greek thinkers and therefore reflects many of the thoughts that were held by those thinkers. In spite of the stoic beliefs held by the Greeks, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Here, the author defines relational theism as one that affirms that God is indeed a personal God who enters into a reciprocal relationship with his creatures. This view describes attributes that stand totally opposite of the classical theism view and is supported by numerous notable Protestant theologians and Roman Catholics and to some degree, by Easton orthodox. 5.7 Proponents of Dynamic Omniscience. The author says some theologians in the freewill tradition generally support Dynamic Omniscience as it relates to divine relationality. They believe God s knowledge and responses are caused by what He sees in his creation; however, other theologians claim that Dynamic Omniscience had its roots in heretics and the beliefs of non Christians. The author said the one who made these claims, Millard Erikson, reported flawed information. 5.8 Conclusion. The author states that among various theologians, there is a lack of uniformity in views as related to a reciprocal relationship between God and humans. Some theologians allow some place for divine conditionality while others are either inconsistent on the subject or simply outright reject it; however, the model proposed here found significant agreement among both Eastern and Western theological
  • 16. The Gospel Of Matthew, The Infancy Narrative In the Gospel of Matthew, the infancy narrative contributes a large sum of background information of Jesus that contributes to the development of Matthew s Christology. In order to analyze how Matthew develops the Christology, we have to cut the infancy narrative into sections. This paper will discuss background information of the writing of this Gospel, literary elements of Jesusmiraculous conception that reinforce his Jewishness, how Magi and literary devices help to understand Matthew s Christology, what important biblical hero the infancy narrative parallels, and what foreshadowing is caused from this infancy narrative. Comparatively, the use of divine intervention in dreams to fulfill prophecy has been a key focus of the infancy narrative in order to create an unusual birth narrative and develop the unique Christology that Matthew envisioned specifically for the Jewish Messiah. When studying the Gospel of Matthew, Scholars have dated the book to be written sometime between the ages of 80 and 90 CE. Scholars have also estimated the book to have been written somewhere outside of Palestine, potentially in Antioch, Syria. Antioch was a very wealthy and educated area with a large Jewish community (Study Bible, 1665 1667). From what evidence permits, it s estimated that the whole purpose of the gospel was meant as a means of correcting the Gospel of Mark by emphasizing the Jewishness of Jesus as the glorious Messiah of the Jews. There is also a stress to all the followers

  • 19. The Causes Of The Zodiac Killer The first murders widely attributed to the Zodiac Killer were the shootings of high school students Betty Lou Jensen and David Faraday on December 20, 1968, on Lake Herman Road, just inside Benicia city limits. Shortly after 11:00 p.m. their bodies were found. Robert Graysmith postulated that another car pulled into the turnout, just prior to 11:00 pm and parked beside the couple. Jensen appeared to have exited the car first, yet when Faraday was halfway out, the killer apparently shot Faraday in the head. Fleeing from the killer, Jensen was gunned down twenty eight feet from the car with five shots through her back. The killer then drove off. Just before midnight on July 4, 1969, Darlene Ferrin and Michael Mageau drove into the Blue Rock Springs Park in Vallejo, four miles from the Lake Herman Road murder site. A second car drove into the lot and parked alongside them but almost immediately drove away. Returning about 10 minutes later, this second car parked behind them. The driver of the second car then exited the vehicle, approaching the passenger side door of Ferrin s car, carrying a flashlight and a 9 mm Luger. The killer directed the flashlight into Mageau s and Ferrin s eyes before shooting at them, firing five times. Both victims were hit, and several bullets had passed through Mageau and into Ferrin. The killer walked away from the car but upon hearing Mageau s moaning, returned and shot each victim twice more before driving off. Ferrin was pronounced dead at the

There remains a misunderstanding of the concept of LED, as seen in the view that LED should be organized and conducted under the auspices of central or regional government authority. Many major documents such as the first draft of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and even Benjamin Franklin s newspapers were made from hemp paper. Hemp takes 90 120 days to mature while trees take 20 80 years. Only the predicted set of conditions allowed for isomerization of dimethyl maleate to dimethyl fumarate, a test tube of dimethyl maleate and bromine placed under an intense light source. The other two test tubes did not isomerize as one did not contain the bromine, so there was no ability to form a radical, and the other was placed in the dark so it did not have the ability to initiate the radical formation of bromine. The carvone experiment was carried out successfully as both enantiomers were put into a polarimeter and the direction and angle that they rotate plane polarized light in. This allows for quantitative explanation of why R and S isomers are designated as rotating in the left or right direction (+ or ). Their was a slight variance in the magnitude of the angle, as they should both be equal, however it is possible that temperature or concentration of the samples contributed to this error. The qualitative analysis was successful in that both the R and S enantiomers of the carvone oils displayed a distinctive, yet similar smell, thus displaying that some enantiomers will have distinguishable odors. Therefore, smell is a possible way to separate certain enantiomers as opposed to spending thousands of dollars on special gas chromatography equipment to determine the identity
