I am on my way to the New England Baseball Complex in Manchester. It is early
August, and the end of the regular season. It has been an unusually lengthy season
and I am ready for it to be finally over. I have traveled all over New England and have

My summer vacation this year if you even call it a vacation has been insane. My
summer started out normal until the day I to went visit my dad. My parents had
recently gotten a divorce so they no longer lived together. It all started with the secret

hatchet, which I had no idea what I would ever use it for. I was getting there on a

I needed food before I could do anything. I grabbed a sip of water from the lake

sight at all times I found some sort of berries and started shoving my mouth full of

to dishearten the argumentative spirit of Thrasymachus. The argument begins to fall
apart when he is forced to restate his main point. The restatement is that ordinary
morality is simply the behavior imposed by exploiter on exploited, and thus is
someone else s interest (342 e). In this version of his original point, he also touches
on a very important fact that, in everyday life, the pursuit of self interest is natural
and just. Thrasymachus depicts this point by undeniable fact that in a professional

Education plays a significant role in contributing to Auckland s perception and
engagement with Waitangi Day. Within the wider context of New Zealand, Auckland
is the nation s most populous city with a wide demographic of multicultural
individuals. With significant external immigration to the city, future growth is to be
expected. Therefore, it is important for the topic of Waitangi educationto be
investigated, to ensure that systems are put in place for future pupils that will go
through the New Zealandschooling system, to ensure that they are accurately taught
about the Treaty of Waitangi, and that there a resources and systems put in place to
accommodate for individuals who arrive in New Zealand at an age that does not
require schooling.
A review of the literature revealed that many individuals do not consider the teaching
of the Treaty to be significant. We believe that it is important for Aucklanders to be
educated about what the treaty means, why we as a nation should celebrate it, and
how the treaty agreement was broken. Some key benefits of being educated about the
Treaty of Waitangi include, and are not limited to:
1. Helping us to shape and understand our cultural identity
2. Understanding previous and current agreements of our nation
3. Moving New Zealand forward in a progressive manner from what we have learnt
about our past

nerve, which then send the signals to the brain. The brain then recognizes the signals
as sound. According to the NIDCD (2013a) the cochlear implant can be helpful to
many different people. Both children and adults can be fitted for cochlear implants
and as stated by the Food and Drug Administration, as of December 2012,
approximately 324,000 people have cochlear implants worldwide. In the U.S. alone,
about 58,000 adults and 38,000 children have them. Adults who have lost their
hearing often benefit from cochlear implants due to the signs they receive can easily
be associated with sounds they have heard before with practice. Children who receive
implants also strive, especially when the implant is paired with sign language and

A question that is often asked is who as it worse, males or females this question has
been asked since the beginning of human life. In the book Incidents in the life of a
slave girl it goes through the life of an enslaved woman and how her life was set
since at birth. She goes through the struggles of not only her but the people around
her. Life was hard and horrible for all enslaved people, but it is often asked, like the
original question, who had it worse enslaved males or enslaved females. As a
female I may sound somewhat bias in my writing but will stay with the facts within
the one book I have read to answer the question I believe that over all females had it
the hardest. Enslaved females would be separated from their kids often.
