In 2009, the Iowa Supreme Court decided to legalize same sex marriage, making Iowa the fourth
state in the United States to do so, after Massachusetts (2004), California (2006), and Connecticut
(2008). On February 2, 2011, when a group of conservatives in the Iowa State Legislature proposed
a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriageand thus overturn that decision, college student
Zach Wahls spoke about his mothers, a lesbian couple, at a public hearing before the IowaHouse
Judiciary Committee. Using a variety of rhetorical devices, Wahls argues quietly that the issue is
not whether gay parents harm children, as opponents were suggesting at the time, but whether they
will be protected equally under the law.

have multiple explanations. In my opinion these trials began as a combination between religious
factors, boredom, social issues and all coming together in a mess of suspicion and deceit. Although
these trials did start because of the Puritan s imagination, their true religious belief in witchcraft,
childish antics, and their hatred for their neighbors helped to fuel their imagination. The people s
imagination began to lead the people in the town of Salem, Massachusetts into a deadly witch

In this paper we will analyze a sample recoding of my voice using Audacity, in both the
Frequency Analysis window graph, and also the time domain graph. I ll go over what both
graphs above mean, and what I can tell by the composition of of my voice signal. Likewise, we ll
discuss the voice signals amplitude and bandwidth. As we analyze the graphs we will see how
this information could be used to plan a transmission facility, and why we must be careful to

The simplest way to put is Frequency means how fast is the signal is changing. In this graph
what we have used is a small sample of an audio recording of my voice. Sound waves can be
examined in relationships of their amplitude and frequency. In the frequency analysis graph the
recoding is then plotting a graph of frequency (x axis, in Hz) versus intensity (y axis, in dB).
Thus allowing us to be able to analyze the recording signals with respect to frequency. As in
which the other graph allows us to measure the voice recording in respect with time. So in the
frequency analysis graph we can see the the higher the dB s are the higher the pitch is within that
