1. The document describes procedures for analyzing three simple salts: lead nitrate, aluminium sulfate, and zinc sulfate. 2. For each salt, tests are performed to identify the anion (acid radical) and cation (basic radical) present. Through solubility, flame, ash, and confirmatory tests, lead nitrate is identified to contain the nitrate anion and lead cation. 3. Similarly, aluminium sulfate is found to contain the sulfate anion and aluminium cation. Zinc sulfate is also identified as containing the sulfate anion and zinc cation.
