and customers. SitatByoot is a social enterprise that helps unemployed housewives outsource their talents

has established great rapport with the local communities in Jordan and abroad, and is continuing to become
a great solution for many NGOs and women in the Arab world. Over the past 2 years I have managed

Devising a university-student entrepreneurship curriculum that develops and motivates university students to
build their profitable business startups and in a progressing manner. Writing a book called Company Startup
Program that will be in circulation at universities as elective course starting March, 2014. My curriculum is
customized to suit local market and youth. It advocates lean methodology, Drucker's type of management,
and is heavily influenced by the writings of Steve Blank. It focuses on the importance of the product/service
when validating a customer need and penetrating a new market.

Interim-CEO at Takaful

As interim CEO of Takaful, my immediate direct responsibilities was to maximize value of Takaful's main
assets; large network of volunteers & many important social initiatives in Jordan. I also set vision, operation

strategy and funding for the non-profit organization. My achievements there are the team I left behind, that
is currently managing around 10 social initiatives, benefitting 1000s beneficiaries, set tools to be able to
mobilize the largest volunteering network of university students in Jordan (mined the database), formed
strategic partnerships (Nuqul Foundation, British Council, Injaz and Loyac), secured a long-term fund from
British Council to train beneficiaries and our volunteers on Active Citizenship.

Assisted in the overall management of a customized version of Y-combinator’s Program to select, train
and then empower Idea people in Jordan to build their startups and profit in a short period of time. My
main challenge while there was to accustom the Y-Combinator model for Jordanians and Arab/Islamic
marketplace. I also saw over the selection process to sift out innovative and disruptive business ideas in
Media, ICT, Online business, and/or Software solutions. Meydan has enjoyed a steady rise in popularity
amongst the Techie community of Jordan at launch in 2010. This was heavily influenced by many factor one
to do with the community coming to a tipping point by its own and wanted a destination, secondly Meydan
was one of the first Y-combinator models to be implemented in the region, which made it an immediate
destination. Rise of popularity was also influenced by an online media campaign that was implemented by
my team. Even though there was little content but the hyper media of short movies helped communicate
well. During my time there it has taken 2 batches of idea stage startups. The entrepreneurs who submitted to
those 2 batches make the backbone of the entrepreneurial eco-system in Jordan today.

I helped in increasing profitability from existing business ventures, utilizing a network of existing business
prospects at the group and its subsidiaries. I have expanded the group's activities and diversified their
investment portfolio. This has allowed the group to venture in new successful businesses, such as Fast Food,
Education, FMCG, Automobile, Fire Fighting and more. Together we acquired new strategic partners in
Saudi Arabia and around the world.
Marketing Manager - International Sales at Damac Properties

Plan all international sales trips and manage all their business requirements. I report to CEO on logistics
of events, feasibility of markets, appointing of sales teams, budgeting and ROI. Planned and executed 47
consecutive Road Shows and qualified 23 exhibitions since 2007. Assigned travel, media and functions
budgets, and directed actual costs to go below assigned budgets on an. I achieved a YTD accumulative
average of 29% and managed a series of road show teams that resulted in a net revenue amount that
exceeded AED 250M. I also managed and motivated my team of 8 in allocated areas of logistics, marketing,
promotion, sales, PR, and event organization. Managed the interface with different personnel at HQ in

different departments and liaise with 22 offices around the world when appointing and nominating team
members and Directors of Sales for Road show. Me and my team worked with and studied closely many
international market laws and regulations that pertain to leasing, selling and reselling, advertising, holding
events, representing, and contracting agents. Our department also utilized different data bases of clients
and prospects when direct marketing, using alternative media and incentive invitations. We accustomed the
mechanism of our intranet system to monitor inventory, register sales and issue relevant reporting in real
time. We conducted thorough market feasibility and submitted sales forecasts on every destination visited
and completed due diligence reports for projects and accounted for contingency plans and managed risk on
every given Road Show.
