Hey Ted Rogers and Ryerson Engineering students! Big Data and Analytics are the most important development of our times. Institutions like the Harvard Business Review, experts, like the Chief Economist at Google, Dr. Hal Varian, and institutions, believe data analysts will be the most sought after specialists. This raises the question: Are we trained to take up positions in the emerging and fast transforming field of Big data and Analytics? Uses of Big Data and Analytics include: Computer Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Software Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Human Resources, Real Estate, Genetics, Supply Chain, Energy, Health, Traffic, Crime, Sports, Music, and more. We are proposing to create a new Big Data Zone at Ryerson University to: enhance collaboration between business and engineering students, bridge the gap in our training, develop connections with companies in the industry and incubate startups. We need to know from you if you have interest have in Big Data and Analytics. We invite you to take our survey. It will take fewer than 10 minutes. Your name will be entered in a raffle for two iPads. The survey can be taken here: http://goo.gl/forms/CIe16o1Qmp
